Experience the beauty of Missouri in the warmer months at Roaring River Hills Campground and Cabins, just three miles from Roaring River State Park. Wake up to golden sunrises, explore lush trails, and spend lazy afternoons fishing or wading in cool streams. As evening falls, gather around the firepit for starlit storytelling and roasted s’mores. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, our glamping tents provide the perfect outdoor retreat.
Tucked away in a more secluded area of the property, Glamping tent #1, ideal for couples, is one of our 5 larger glamping units that offer a peaceful off-grid retreat surrounded by trees, and the occasional visit from deer at sunrise. While there’s no power in the tent itself, you’ll find comfort in the simplicity - like four comfortable twin beds with a plush bed pad.
Mornings start slow here: coffee in hand from our nearby general store, seated in Adirondack chairs on your covered deck as birdsong and soft mountain light ease you into the day. After hiking or exploring Roaring River State Park, return to your private firepit for a meal under the stars and a night of true stillness.
What’s Included:
four comfortable twin beds with a plush bed pad (linens provided) Large covered deck with Adirondack chairs Access to the onsite general store (coffee, muffins, snacks, slushies & more) Clean, shared bathhouse with hot showers (apprx. 150 yards from your tent) Firepit with grate - perfect for campfire meals (bring your own cookware!) With family-friendly activities like hiking, fishing, and wildlife spotting, Roaring River Hills is a nature lover’s dream. Shared bathroom facilities with hot showers ensure your comfort, while our general store keeps you stocked with snacks, cold drinks, and slushies.

Rent was as described and staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We didn't use the pool so I can't rate that correctly.

Need some repairs, otherwise clean.
The tent needs repairs. Guy ropes were broken on one side. The carpet rug on deck is curled up on the edge. Very hazardous.. especially in the dark. Tent, bedding were clean. The bed was comfortable. Had a good sleep. Would stay again.

Kids Fishing day stay
We enjoyed out stay but had a couple things that were unfortunate. In the pictures it does not show that the actual inside flooring is just deck board with spaces between. I say that bc that allowed A TON of bugs to be inside our tent, ZERO electric at the tent site. The hike to the bathrooms was much longer than what was listed. The owner/worker was very sweet and responded to texts. The bathrooms were extremely clean which is very rare for campgrounds these days. The grass was cut short and the firepit outside our tent was gorgeous along with the awesome chairs to sit in. Overall it was a great stay but just a few things that appeared different on the picture online set it back a few. We will be back and will bring extra bug spray for those bugs that come inside. Thanks for allowing us to stay with you this past weekend.

Charles Sanders is native to this area and had the privilege of growing up in Roaring River State Park. That is where he realized he had a love for camping, fishing, hiking and exploring the beautiful mountains of the Ozarks. As a young man he enjoyed meeting the campers that would come and stay each year and share their fishing stories with him. This love of camping, meeting new people, and everything this area had to offer led to his dream that one day he would own his own campground. Roaring River Hills Campground and Cabins is that dream coming true. Please come enjoy, relax and share some of your stories with us. We look forward to meeting you.
