Kelsi was awesome! The house was a cool ranch house that has been updated. The original log beams were awesome. You are on a beautiful ranch in a beautiful area! We will be back.

Phenomenal Views and Moos!!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy & clean Adobe! Everything was wonderful! The views were absolutely amazing and the cows mooing made us smile!! My husband met the owner while he was walking our dog and he was extremely friendly & very welcoming!

What a great place. Very spacious and conveniently located. The adjacent field was full of geese. There were horses and cows around in near by fields grazing away. I would highly recommend if you are looking for tranquility.

The Adobe House was perfect for us. Perfectly located for hiking and ATV riding in the national forest park. Quiet and relaxing and lots of wildlife including bears! The owners could not be more helpful or nice! Took care of every request! Thank you Kelsi and Abby! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this ranch house, we only had an overnight stay to break up the trip and we were sad we couldn’t stay longer! Spotless clean, really cute decor. The best part was the huge herd of Elk out the front door in the morning and we took a little walk down the road and found an osprey nest! 10/10

The Adobe was fantastic! It’s close enough to PS that you can run into town if you want, but it’s far enough out that it’s very quiet and very few people around. We sat out on the back porch every morning and evening and watch elk and deer feeding down into the irrigated fields. Owners were terrific! We’ll definitely be back!

A Dog-Friendly Southern Colorado Weekend

It was very neat and clean. The closest food is Pagosa Springs, so come prepared. We had 2 large German Shepherds with us, and all four of us enjoyed our stay. The best part was the star-studded night sky - absolutely gorgeous.

A beautiful, well appointed adobe refuge. Dog friendly. Quiet. Lots of places to walk and see wild life and relax. Perfect for those who want to get away.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay with our older dog who loved laying in the grass watching and meeting horses and cows. There's a bald eagle living directly across the meadow that you can watch in the mornings on the patio. You hear so much wild life! Truly amazing. We needed more comfortable seating in the living room space and maybe a coffee table so we used our camp chairs which was great. We weren't inside much. The fishing ponds were not found. Spoke to the owner of the ranches around us and he said all the ponds are private. There is tons of fishing on the river leaving the house and going to Pagosa springs. This is an amazing spot to escape the city. I slept so well. The beds and the shower were great as well which are things I'm always worried about. Bring extra kitchen stuff if you plan on cooking a lot. Closest store is 30 minutes away same with gas stations unless you go to New Mexico, I think it was slightly closer.

Awesome Adobe!!

First of all the adobe is historical and old! But redone in an extremely tasteful way! Exposed beams and a fireplace. We sat outside after 10pm and the star gazing could not be beat! We saw a shooting star and then we heard coyotes sound off - the whole mountain experience came together. In the morning it was coffee on the patio and we watched elk. We could hear the cows and saw the horses from the working ranch around us. All in all, a wonderful time!! Thank you so much!!

Summer 2024 Family Vacation

We visited Colorado for the cooler summer temperatures. The outdoor activities are great! The rivers, waterfalls, hiking, and shopping. We stayed at Chromo, but traveled to surrounding towns. The Adobe house was perfect for our small family. We travel with our dogs and this host allowed us to take them. It provides all the comfort amenities, with the exception of air conditioning. Honestly, it wasn’t needed. The temperatures at night were in the low 50s and during the day was mid80s in late July. We saw Eagles and osprey birds. Some deer, and a few cows. Wildlife we don’t see in the metroplex. Oh, and the sky was full of stars. It’s so dark there that you can see the stars. Just beautiful. It was a much needed relaxing week. I will recommend this to my friends and colleagues.

The scenery around the property is absolutely stunning! Everything you could need was there including dishes,snacks and coffee which was amazing. The bed was so so comfortable and the pillows were brand new I had to even take the tags off of one of them. By far one of the best places I've ever stayed!

This property is relatively remote to civilization, which is exactly what I was looking for to unplug and unwind. The property is very quiet and clean. The views from the property, especially the back porch are stunning and almost therapeutic. Everything I needed was available here. Pagosa Springs is only about 30 minutes away where you can find shops and restaurants. There are also multiple access points to the national Forest close to this property. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful and inspirational place to stay, this should be at the top of your list.
