Handcrafted Rustic Cabin on the Bourbon Trail

The cabin has been entirely built by the owner, Doris, (with help from family and friends) from reclaimed and local salvaged materials.
Located on a beautiful Kentucky Scenic byway, on a working farm, the cabin is only 15 minutes from Wild Turkey Distillery, the town of Versailles , golf courses, dining, shopping, wineries and other major distilleries.
35 minutes from Keeneland race course, downtown Lexington, UK, Rupp Arena, the Horse Park and more .
The space
The Cabin has been entirely built from reclaimed and local salvaged materials and local artist and friend, Damon Farmer , displays his original paintings giving the place a unique and cozy appeal with modern conveniences .
It is the perfect place to work remotely from or to completely disconnect from it all .
Relax in the hammock on the patio or around the fire pit , you may spot a few deer and turkeys.
PET-FRIENDLY, (midsize no more than 60 lbs dogs only , please ) , the farm is also home to sheep, chickens and a horse .
Guest access
Our guests have the whole house and patio to themselves, they are also welcome to walk around outside as long as they are respectful of the animals . Please keep your pet on a leach , for the safety of our farm animals and your pet .
Other things to note
Be aware that farm animals can be unpredictable, keep an eye on your children and your pets and be respectful of the animals . Thank you for your understanding.
Due to the location, some cell service providers are not working well , but the cabin has a landline for guests use.

Excellent. We were comfortable, safe and our dog Penny was happy she got to run around. Our little place had a fenced in area in the back so our dog can roam around and do her necessities. We will be back again. Could not have asked for better hospitality Doris is awesome

Country and convenient

Great place in the country. Loved sitting on the porch watching nature and hanging with the goats and chickens. The house had everything we needed and while it's in the country it was really convenient with a short drive to activities we were planning. Doris goes out of her way to be helpful. We had a great weekend stay.

Loved it. Farm animals and deer hanging around the cabin. Cabin very comfortable. Loved the unique interior. Doris was very helpful. Hope to come back someday.

We loved our stay at the cabin, everything was perfect!! Doris was great and made us feel at home. The baby goats were so precious, it was so neat to be able to play with them. We would definitely stay here again.

A hidden Gem

The cabin is very cute,clean,and inviting. The decor is unusual, its repurposed reused and refinished items, very nicely done. Doris is very nice. She goes above and beyond for her guest. Would definitely recommend staying there.

What a beautiful place to stay and rest. This cabin is tucked in the woods and is incredibly peaceful. Doris is an amazing host who has thought of everything you might need.I will definitely go back.

PEACEFUL

We had a great time at the property! Everything was there for us. It was the perfect weekend getaway during visits to distilleries and restaurants. We specifically enjoyed the stillness and peace of the nature outside.

This was an incredible two bedroom secluded getaway on a farm in rural Kentucky. It was 20 minutes from Versailles and right in the heart of bourbon country. Well worth it as a place to getaway. The owner was terrific.

Quite!!

We wanted to do the Bourbon trail, stayed a few nights in Louisville and moved to the vrbo... it was SO NICE to get out the city, see the rolling hills, be within 30 mins of anything we wanted to do and have peace a quiet in the country. The cabin is pretty well stocked with anything you need, is so cozy! The other best part, the animals are so stinking sweet! We are planning another trip and if we dont bring our camper, the cabin is top pick for us to stay at again. Thank you ladies, everything was wonderful!

Everything we hoped for and more

We came to the Versailles area to celebrate the wedding of our friends son. We loved the countryside leading into the beautiful, rustic.cabin. A warm fire from the wood stove greeted us on a chilly evening. The open kitchen, dining/living room floor plan was perfect for entertaining conversations among the four of us. Walks along the property & country roads were both relaxing & invigorating with the chorus of birds farm animals. Our host was very communicative about asking for anything’s we needed along with checking in at our departure to ensure all was well & that we enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to our next visit to this area.
