If you're looking for a big porch with columns and a place to sit and drink Mint Juleps look no more! Just minutes from downtown Columbia TN is this lazy relaxing town named Mt Pleasant. This 1883 home will excite you from the minute you step on the porch and go through the front door. 15 foot ceilings, chandeliers and all the old worlds charm you've been looking for. Completely renovated, 2 bedroom, one king and one queen, 2 baths, large den, kitchen and family living room. Spacious and friendly with loads of light and comfy furniture to ease into. You think you are coming for the weekend and you will not want to leave. We have a 3 day minimum, but just know it wont be enough. all kinds of delivery food methods and kitchen equipped for entertaining up to 10 or 12. BBQ or order in outside patio in back with table and chairs in addition to front porch. Plenty of room for an RV and large 2 car garage is separate.

what a treat to be able to stay in a historic built house back in the 1800s. The house had tons of character, the host provided all the essentials, the process of getting into the house was clear cut and easy. We love the neighborhood lots of people out walking and we did as well. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves.

Visiting with Family

We were looking for a place to stay to see our nephew graduate high school and attend his party to celebrate! We came with our adult children and our three pups. This place was perfect! Not only was it beautiful but had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful place!

Love this house.

We’ve stayed here a number of times while visiting our grandson in Columbia and each time it’s like coming home. Great property and super comfortable. Jana is a great host, very accommodating. Quiet neighbourhood with the classic southern charm and an easy short drive into Columbia.

Very nice home

2nd Time staying in a Vrbo but the stay was awesome. I was in town for work for the week and it was like coming home. Wi-Fi was good, neighborhood is perfect, almost like Mayberry lol. When I return and if this place is available, I would definitely love to stay again!

Amazing property

The host had the property well lit and warm. The host was in touch multiple times to inquire if I needed anything. All the comforts of home were provided. Property was not only stunning but spotless. This home belongs in Architectural Digest. It is by far the most beautiful and welcoming property I have had the pleasure of staying at. Downtown shops are a safe short walk away, I highly recommend this lovely home. 10 stars.

Great find!!!

We love the location. Was in a neighborhood type setting. Walking distance to their quaint lil town. It was very convenient to where my daughter lives, restaurants shopping and highways. Dog friendly and our pups loved it there. Had pretty much every you need in the house. Very comfortable and cozy. We would definitely recommend.

Favorite Stay

My family of four including kids age 11 and 13 were so comfortable at this historic Mount Pleasant home. It was a treat to stay there and hard to leave. The beds were very comfortable. We even reached out once we were home to ask about the mattress. We wish we had more time to enjoy sitting on the porch. We were treated to a few exciting summer rain showers. So many thoughtful amenities were provided. Discovering this rental home was a highlight of our two week road trip from California. This was our first time using a rental home rather than a hotel. Jana set the bar. It will be hard to beat this experience.

We stay here when visiting our grandson in Columbia. Close to Columbia and local shopping, quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours and lots of room. Beautifully decorated house and super comfortable. Jana is great host and the house is perfect every time we stay. Highly recommend!

JANA, EXCELLING HOST HOME BEAUTIFUL, SERENE, A COME-BACK

Our hostess Jana was wonderful. I wanted to have a fold-over card and gifting of goodies for my sister’s birthday upon arrival if the hostess would be willing to carry that out for me. Jana was ever ready!! Thank you, Jana, for exceeding what one would expect and carrying that out truly beyond the excelling mark. We had come to Mount Pleasant for 2-evening concerts in Culleoka, TN. This house is LOVELY, the rooms are beautiful, the furniture; and the fresh roses stayed beautiful and fragrant. Thoughtful touches, lots of welcomed white towels, and comfortable, sleep-good beds. A pantry with useful, thoughtful items. Different areas in the home to visit, read, chill. The house lends itself to a quieting atmosphere. The morning sun coming in through the living area, the lighting – the large window, the open white drapes, beautiful. The house was a God-gift, beautiful with serenity colors. The front porch calming, the neighborhood to walk; fun, local restaurants, a community so friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Jana, for making your home property available. My sister loved your home. My husband who accompanied, enjoyed. Your home alone was a wonderful gift for myself. I so much want to return! Blessings.

Historic home in a quiet town

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully restored home. The host has the home decorated in a southern living style with a cozy feel. The beds were comfy and the kitchen stocked. Amazing bang for your buck

Very clean property with all the amenities. This quiet neighborhood was an ideal spot to wind down. The house had so much charm. I would definitely recommend to everyone traveling in this area. The listing is exactly as it was.

We love Mt Pleasant because it’s away from all the traffic. We love the feel of this little town and instantly met all of our neighbors. We come down some times for the music and all of the wonderful programs the city puts on. We use the house as our little getaway

Our house is so unique because it was built in 1889. The original owner use to own the entire area. He had a daughter named Hay and his last name was long. That’s why the street is named HayLong. The high school use to be named HayLong High School as well.
