Completely renovated waterfront home on Michigan’s beautiful Coldwater Lake. The entire home is yours! Enjoy a beautiful patio that overlooks the lake with furniture for lounging and sunbathing. We offer a stand-up paddle board(SUP) and two kayaks. Just let us know about the SUP in advance. Four seasons of fun, including fishing, water sports, golf, Michigan International Speedway, U. of M., and Notre Dame football, within a 90-minute drive. Pokagon State Park and Swiss Valley Resort are also close.
The space
The home was completely renovated, inside and out, with all new appliances. It features a calming neutral interior decor with blue accents. The compact living space seems light and airy and spills out to the lake through large sliding glass doors. The patio also has a propane grill for cookouts during the day and a propane fire table for romantic nights. Off the Master Bedroom, there is a beautiful wooden upstairs deck with cable railing to enjoy sunsets with a glass of wine. There is also a bonus patio away from the house and right next to the lake. After nightfall, walk down the curvy stamped concrete walkway to the bonus patio, sit in comfortable Adirondack chairs, and enjoy drinks around a wood-burning fire pit.
During the summer months, we offer a stand-up paddle board and two kayaks. Rent a pontoon boat from the Coldwater Lake Marina and tie it off the home's all-weather dock. Bring your own boat or jet skis and put them in the water at the boat ramp just 1/2 mile away. Fish for Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Yellow Perch in Coldwater Lake. There is a 100 feet of sandy bottom lake extending from the break wall. You can swim right off the dock. If you don't want to spend all your time at the lake, there are several nearby golf courses, and the Michigan International Speedway is only one hour away. Shop at the outlet mall that is just ten minutes away.
Visit nearby Pokagon State Park in the fall or enjoy the lake and foliage. If you enjoy football games, Michigan and Notre Dame are only an hour and a half away by car.
During the winter months, ice skate or fish on Coldwater Lake. Cross-country ski or downhill ski at the Swiss Valley Resort, which is just an hour away. Afterward, come home and warm up around the cozy fireplace.
Main Floor: The main floor is down a flight of stairs from the front hall. This floor has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a full bath with a bathtub and shower. The full kitchen has a new microwave, gas range with a double oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, and Keurig. The kitchen has a beautiful island with a white quartz countertop that seats three. The kitchen sink has a faucet, garbage disposal, and a reverse osmosis faucet for crystal-clear drinking water. The kitchen table seats eight. Near the kitchen is a sitting room with a large screen smart TV hung over the natural gas fireplace. Spectrum Cable TV and Internet are provided, and guests may watch whatever subscription service they already have on the TV. A laundry room with a new high-capacity washer and dryer is off the hallway from the sitting room.
Upper Floor: The upper floor is three steps up from the front hall. There are two bedrooms with queen-sized beds that share a full bathroom. One bedroom has a large-screen smart TV. Down the hall is a loft with a leather futon that can sleep one. The loft has a wine and beverage refrigerator. Out the sliding glass door is a second-story deck that overlooks the lake and is under two towering maple trees. Across from the loft is the master bedroom. It has a king bed with a pillow soft mattress topper and a large screen smart TV. Attached to the bedroom is a master bathroom with twin sinks, a toilet, bidet, a walk-in-shower and a large walk-in closet. The master bedroom also has a sliding glass door which opens onto the second story deck.
Other things to note
Filtered water comes from the refrigerator door dispenser and the reverse osmosis small faucet.
