The walk was advertised a little closer to the beach and the view is not much of the gulf but pretty close if you lean over the balcony far enough. The cleaning people could do way better and wasnt cleaned well after construction but overall stay was nice and the property is awesome with many ammenities. The inside pool was probably the highlight of the trip, it was closer than the beach and way warmer! Overall it was a pleasant stay with very nice hosts. I would go back but I would hope it would be cleaner, and I would come up with a better way to get my daughter to the beach, she doesnt walk very well so this part was not easy.

We had a great time. The condo was nice. The owners were easy to work with and it was easy access to the beach, pool, and other amenities. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Wonderful getaway

The unit is comfortable, clean, and within a short walk to the beach. The pools are well maintained and inviting. The food and drinks at the restaurant on the property are delicious!

Peaceful retreat

Property was well maintained. Our room was on the small size but adequate for my husband and I. We enjoyed the peaceful area and beautiful white sandy beach.

Loved everything about this property. The grounds and pools are well maintained. Condo was as advertised. It’s quite small but it worked for my family.

Vacay 2024

We loved that the place was so close to the beach. Location was great. The beds were nice slept good. The only things that need changed is the fridge and the dining set. Better seats on the deck would be a plus. But other then that we had a great time and would book again.

Beach Family Vacation

The resort/ property was exactly as listed. The condo was spacious enough for our family of four. The bathrooms & kitchen were well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Family room had ample seating. Balcony allowed a beach view. Easy access to beach that wasn’t overcrowded & away from tourists areas. The owner was quick to reply to any questions. Good property

The property is very good. The unit was a bit outdated. Ceiling peeling in shower. Needs to be repainted. Needs more cooking pans etc. That being said it was functional. Love the availability of hot tubs and pools.

A fantastic week

We have never stayed at Fort Morgan but will definitely come back. It's beautiful and quiet compared to other beaches. The Plantations is a great resort with multiple pools, hot tubs, an on-site restaurant/bar and nowhere ever seemed crowded or loud. Beaches were clean and beautiful. The condo itself has everything you need and was nice. The condo owner was very accommodating when we needed to change the date of our stay and also very patient when I called him once we arrived with a question. Some minor things are a little dated as said in some other reviews, but nothing major. A great stay, thank you!

Nice stay

It was a nice plce to stay with easy access to the beach. There were a couple of questions, well mainly the door. I do believe in other reviews it is mentioned, but at some point the door was kicked in or busted in and really should be fixed. Other than that it was very nice. The beds were nice and not hard to sleep in and the furniture was comfortable as well. The beach at the location is great for families due to it not being over populated. It alson is only a 12-15 min drive to the more touristy area; famliy food games, and entertainment.

Property and location was wonderful, the house itself was outdated with issues. The sinks wouldnt drain. Bath tub wouldnt shut off, smoke alarm did not stay on ceiling. Smelled like smoke. The cleaning people look like they just switched out towels and left. Sand and food on floor, someone sand toys outside still. Love the property but just wish it had some issues checked out before stay and little more cleaning before our time.

Overall great stay!

This was our second time to stay at this unit! We love the two large pools and very beautiful courtyard. The condo itself is just as pictured and described. The only issues we had was the mater bedroom tv didn’t work but we didn’t have much time to watch tv anyways and there wasn’t any outdoor furniture on the balcony. The walk to the beach is not bad at all! Would definitely recommend for a small family and we would definitely stay again if we come back to the area! Family Getaway

The resort property is beautiful and perfectly maintained. The communication with the condo owner was disappointing as we were told we could have access to the condo at 4pm but upon arrival found the unit had not been cleaned. Apparently there was an agreement for a late check out for the earlier guests and we weren't told that our access to the unit would be delayed by 90 min.

We asked for Wi-Fi pass word but never received answer. The property was very nice, we really enjoyed the property and our stay. The queen bed in the master bed was terrible. My wife and I both had sore backs as it is very uncomfortable. You both just roll to the center.

We live in Athens, Alabama, near Huntsville, where I work on Redstone Arsenal. We have lived in the Huntsville, Alabama area for about 3 years. We lived for many years in Germany before that and are both multi-lingual. As of 18 January 2015, we are back in Germany, living in Wiesbaden.

My father is from the Gulf Coast of Alabama and I have been vacationing in Gulf Shores my whole life since I was a tyke the early 60s. I have been to beaches all over the world and these are among the nicest I know of anywhere. Fort Morgan is a special place and the Gulf Shores Plantation Resort offered us everything we wanted right there in one place, where we wanted it, Fort Morgan. The beaches at the resort are fabulous- white sand, beautiful water, herons that walk right by you, pelicans, and wide open pristine beaches.
