Hidden Gem Cottages: Sapphire Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and a queen air mattress for additional sleeping space. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

Our home is situated on the back of our 8 acre property overlooking our pond. It is new construction featuring modern farmhouse decor for a comfortable, cozy feel.

Guests have access to the property around the house and pond. We will respect their space and privacy. We ask they do the same for us.

The houses were perfect for our family weekend for the Polar Express. They were only 25 minutes to Palestine. Management was very helpful & had the houses ready for early check-in . The houses were very clean and cutely decorated. The kids loved fishing & feeding the fish in the pond. Would definitely recommend staying there.

OMG it was amazing. I can't thank you enough. We were greeted with the soothing sound of crickets and water bubbling from the pond. The property beautiful and welcoming with everything possible little touch to make it feel like home. We had an fabulous time.

Very peaceful location if you're looking for peace & quiet! House is clean and has everything you need. Good communication with host too. Bring your fishing poles and tackle if you like to fish!

The house was amazing! We loved the decor and was super spacious. The outside needs some attention though. We were looking forward to sitting by the fire and cooking out, but it had not been cleaned up and the lights did not work so that was a bummer. There also is a step on the stairs that needs to be replaced. We had a great time though and enjoyed the house. Thank You!

Check-in was simple, host was responsive, and amenities are nice. Cleanliness could be improved upon. Cob webs and dead bugs in bedrooms, hair in bathroom drawers, and there was a dirty plate with what looked like spaghetti still on it that was put away with the clean dishes. We had to go to Walmart and purchase some cleaning supplies. Could also use new pots and pans. We were unable to use the main tv in the living room because the cable box was broken. WiFi, when it worked, was very slow. Overall, we were happy with our stay. Next time, we would probably book the ruby cabin instead of the sapphire.

Amazing Stay

The property is picturesque and pastoral. The interior is elegantly decorated. Not to much and not to little. Comfortable and relaxing. Perfect.

Omg! The best cabin ever!!! We loved it!!

This was the best cabin we have stayed at, so roomy, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer are a plus! Pond was great, fire pit although we didnt use it, we saw deer the last morning of our stay. Location was amazing and only 15 min from Palestine!! We will def be back.

Perfect Hideaway

A perfect place for a one night stay or a week. Very nicely decorated and super clean. Lots of things to do and see within a fairly short distance. Plenty of room for kids to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities.

BYOP bring your own pills!

Our family members between ages 63 to 88 spent the weekend together here and had a wonderful time. Between us all, we tote a lot of pills. Made s’mores, saw some huge fish, and laughed till we hurt.Wonderful surroundings. Good food at Rumps bbq.

Very comfortable master mattress

Everything we needed was available. The host was responding fast to a question we had about the lock pad. Lots of nice bath towels. Quiet natural setting.

Beautiful location

The property was beautiful. Quiet and private. Loved watching the deer. And the kids really enjoyed the pond fishing. They had items that you tend to forget which was awesome. The beds were comfy and plenty of space was availabile for all of us.

Beautiful Property

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The pond was a real highlight, stocked with plenty of fish for a fun and relaxing time. The area is beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic escape. The owner was very friendly and professional, making our experience even better. Highly recommend.

Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was very nice, clean and peaceful. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities. The host was extremely professional, has great communication and responds quickly. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. We plan to return in the near future

Overnight stay

Wonderful host. A little further out of town for our overnight stay getting to the train ride. Catfish pond was fun to watch.

My husband and I are both from the DFW area. We grew up in the hustle and bustle of the big city, so we really appreciate and enjoy the peace and quiet of our country life. We like hosting so others can enjoy some of the country life, too.

Our property sits about 15 minutes north of Palestine. We are surrounded by pine trees and have many deer on our property. Our stocked pond is a fun place to fish or just sit out by a fire.

We built this house specifically to share our property with guests. We were very thoughtful in furnishing and decorating our property. Our house is not a "garage sale special" or furnished with someone else's leftovers. We tried to provide everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing time away from home.
