Longwood Hideaway provides a luxury vacation home for your enjoyment.

Enjoy a relaxing getaway in THE GALENA TERRITORY, Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa and the charming Civil War era historic town of Galena, IL.

Sleeps 10 guests, 3 levels, 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, (one queen sleeper). Primary bedroom with loft, whirlpool tub and separate shower, 2 gathering rooms.

The Longwood Hideaway: a beautifully decorated 4 Bedroom, 4 bath, 3100 sq. ft. Cape Cod home with vaulted ceilings. Relax and/or entertain friends and family with lovely great room and large open kitchen plan with an island. Enjoy pool table and massive firepit!

Located in the heart of the Resort Core of the 6,800 acres Galena Territories / Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa, with 63 holes of championship golf, boating and fishing on Lake Galena, riding stables, and free use of The Territories Owners Club (indoor/outdoor pools, fitness, and dining). Beautiful, secluded forest lot with ample parking. Experience happy hour on the large, screened porch or on the walk-out deck with a gas grill.

The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, silverware, glassware, pot and pans. Enjoy the full-service coffee bar with a drip coffee maker, Keirg maker, and electric hot water pot. You also will find a variety of spices, salt and pepper.

Relax and enjoy the hot tub after a day of golfing, sightseeing, wineries, skiing -exploring all that Galena has to offer.

Annual Family Vacation

What a great family vacation! The home was perfect for our multi generational family getaway! Ages 3 months to 65 years old. One family used the upstairs, one the main level and the other downstairs. We all enjoyed hanging out in the main level dining and living area. Many great meals were cooked and enjoyed together. And lots of fun on the deck and in the yard. I would highly recommend this house- very clean, had everything we needed, communication with the owner was great, and space was perfect for our family. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful property

Beautiful house that was very open and with 10 people it wasn't crowded at all. Pool table, hot tub, fireplace and board games were just a few perks. We humg downstairs and watched tv and played cards, cooked meals in the spacious kitchen and watxjed the wildlife. I would loce to retuen in the summer time.

Great rental house!

After coming to the territory for 35 years, this is the nicest house we’ve stayed in! The house was so clean! The furniture was in great shape and comfortable. The kitchen was really very well stocked. The house was beautifully decorated. The extra touches (lavender sachets in closets, bathroom supplies, fans for every room, etc) were greatly appreciated!

Loved Longwood Hideaway

The property was exceptionally appointed. All of the common rooms were comfortable with plenty of seating. Loved the covered porch. It became our morning gathering place. The kitchen was perfect. The host communicated with me in a timely manner.

Great house and location in Galena!

We stayed with a group of 8 adults, teens, and kids. We loved that there was plenty of space for everyone! The house is very well equipped, and we made great use of the firepit and hot tub. We also utilized the clubhouse and community pool (extra day passes are just $5/day). Communication with the owners was easy, and check in/out was a breeze. We hope to be back!

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Longwood Hideaway! It is a great house with lots of space. It is very well stocked. My only complaint is the upstairs mattress should be replaced. Other than that, we loved it and would recommend this home to anyone.

Longwood Hideaway was perfect

We thoroughly enjoyed Longwood Hideaway for our annual girls trip. The screened in porch saw lots of morning coffee chats and games. The space allowed us plenty of room to stretch out and not be in each others way.

Wonderful Stay

The home is beautiful and just as described by the owners. Plenty of space for a large family and a very well stocked kitchen including coffee station and plenty of dishes, bowls and anything you would need. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed our stay!

Sibling Reunion

The six of us had a great time. The house had everything we needed and more!! The home had ample space for group activities and areas for individual private time! Location was excellent as we had easy access to area attractions and surrounding towns. We definitely would book this home again!

Totally Awesome!

What you see online - pictures AND description - is accurate, but does not do it justice. Beautiful home and 15 minutes from Galena, but we only went there to buy food as there was no reason to leave the home except for the Clubhouse and hiking. The kids (4) loved the pool at the Clubhouse and the elders (6) loved the hot tub at the house. Fully stocked kitchen and gas grill so you can make / cook whatever you want. Check-in was extremely simple and Jody was responsive and accommodating. It was my 63rd birthday and this location made it memorable!

Jody's career as an interior designer of 35 years and a licensed realtor for 7 years. We love homes and creating beautiful office buildings and apartments. We decided to enter the vacation rental property in 2022. Our first vacation property we purchased is in Sarasota, Florida. In 2023 we purchased in the beautiful Galena Territory. We enjoy staying at each property and beautify the spaces.
