Everything from start to finish was extraordinary! We stayed here for three nights and I can't tell you how many times I said,"look how beautiful" We saw everything from a hummingbirds, butterflies, dragonflies, fireflies, all kinds of beautiful birds including a bald eagle! And even got a video of a beaver swimming right by the dock! We had campfires at night stargazed and listen to the sound of nature we will return-a special shout out to Bonnie for her warm hospitality!

Had a great stay at this cottage. Was very clean inside. Great location right on the lake. Fire pit outside was really nice and used the grill.

Beautiful retreat

We had the absolute best time here! This is now our 3rd time staying at this property, and plan to come back each summer. Bonnie is a fantastic host, very responsive and accommodating. The property itself is gorgeous with amazing sunsets and great fishing!!

weekend getaway

We came to the finger lakes for a little get away. We love the Cayuga region because of the wineries, the town of Aurora and Mackenzie Childs studio. This little lake side cottage is very close to all of these things. It is a quaint, quiet little cottage that was perfect for our stay.

It was a nice property and we had good communication with the host. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the property. However, we felt that the cleaning could have been more thorough before our check-in. A few areas could benefit from extra attention to ensure a perfect experience for future guests.

Lakeshore paradise !

The whole family was charmed by this cute vintage and comfortable little cottage by the lake Cayuga ! Our stay was wonderful from dusk till dawn and vice versa till the amazing sunsets ! Bonnie was a great owner to communicate with.

Best Sunsets in America

This cottage was the sweetest little lakeside gem. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen has cottage-core charm. We had everything we needed to grill, relax on the hammock and enjoy ourselves on the water. My family loved being on the water, soft towels and wide selection of DVDs/CDs. Everything was clean & cozy. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Lake getaway

This property was quiet, easy to get to, and convenient for our family of 5. We have a boat and drove straight across the lake to a great marina/restaurant one night, hung out in a cove with a bunch of other boats and kids our’s played and swam with one sunny day, swam off the dock, and traveled quickly to local town of Union Springs for anything we needed including boat launch and a few local wineries. What a view!!

Quaint " cottage" on a corner lakeside cove..( water on two sides)..Rented a boat.caught slot of fish.and had fun putting around the lake( and stopping at Wolfy's across the lake for lunch and cold beer)..enjoyed the fire pit, and sunsets...we also did great day trips ..the cottage is very close to wine tasting, Auburn ( Harriet Tubman's house tour )and Seneca Falls and other small towns ,saw a great band at The Wheelhouse restaurant right up the road....had lots of fun!!!

A pleasant, almost nostalgic two-day stay. Reminded me of the cottages of the lake vacations of my childhood - but with internet (which worked well), nicer plates, mugs and glasses, and a better refrigerator. The best thing: the cottage is surrounded on two sides by water with large windows to admire the view. Neighbors were quiet. Unfortunately, at least one window screen was broken allowing bugs into the house making sleep difficult. Two of the three bedrooms have a window air conditioner, but they were a bit noisy.

The location of this cabin is absolutely beautiful, probably one of the best views of sunset. The cabin itself needs a thorough deep cleaning, there were a lot of cobwebs inside the cabin. Things like the windows, chandelier and doors all need a good scrubbing. The bathroom shower is very tiny, I would not suggest anyone who is plus sized shower here, the shower floor is soft and feels like you may fall through.If you have a fear of spiders this is not the cottage for you, there were very large spiders INSIDE and outside the cottage.

Absolutely the best view of the lake with beautiful sunsets! This home is very well-maintained and was very comfortable for myself and my family. Everything that we needed was at our fingertips… Dishes, flatware, towels, etc. The gas grill was really a plus! The only issue we had was with the outdoor furniture which was covered with cobwebs. I suggested to the owner that she have this cleaned up before her next visitor. Other than that, everything was great!

At the lake, spiders are very resilient. We sweep down the webs and by morning they’re all back again. On average, it takes 30 to 60 minutes for a spider to weave a web. Even though spider webs are extremely strong, they don't always last very long. They are constantly getting damaged by Mother Nature. Some spiders build new webs every day. Sometimes the cottage is cleaned a day or 2 before the guests arrive and the spiders work straight through the night. :/

Quick summer trip

Stayed for 3-nights to celebrate my mom’s 81st birthday. My 15 year old son came too. Enjoyed the rustic fishing cottage and property but we also were elsewhere visiting family during our trip. There were many spiders which I tried my best to shuttle outside. Each room has individual a/c which is necessary in summer heat. Saw many birds including a Blue Heron in early morning. My son caught a couple perch fishing. This is a great summer low key fishing/water edge access property.

we left earlier then scheduled we couldn’t spend the evening outside because of the bugs (no bugs trumps ) Most of the windows were missing nets so couldn’t open windows We were not able to have a good night sleep as the beds were not comfortable And the AC were to noise And when I asked the owner to reimburse me for one night, she then start threatening me that she will take more money

This tenant completely trashed our property. Said he could not be outside because of the bugs. Bugs live outside! He left 2 cottage doors unlocked and every light was left on. He did not secure the grill cover and it blew away. Every pot, pan, and dish was left dirty and piled high in the sink. Pancake batter was dripping down the kitchen shelving. The coffee pot was overflowing all over the counter. The refrigerator, freezer and kitchen were full of leftover groceries. Raw garbage was thrown on top of the trash can liners in the outside cans. No trash was removed by him. Every game was opened with pieces all over the house. DVD’s not returned to cases. Window blinds on the floor….need I go on? This tenant stated he wanted a refund because he had to leave a night early. I always try to be fair and considerate of others situations, but this family was absolutely ridiculously disrespectful and destructive with our property. I informed him that he was not only NOT getting a refund, but that he was fortunate that I didn’t keep his security deposit. He clearly didn’t appreciate that.
