Makena Surf Resort # B-304 est un condo de luxe isolé en bord de mer situé dans l'exclusif Makena Resort. Cette communauté fermée a été développé avec six 2 & 3 bâtiments à étages chacun offrant des vues imprenables sur le Pacifique.

La plage immaculée et pittoresque et littoral rocheux face de la propriété est exceptionnelle pour les couchers de soleil, piscine, soleil et spectaculaire observation des baleines en saison. Great views!

We love watching the whales, the beach goers and the snorkelers. The horse is well equipped and clean. The beds are petty comfortable. Great well!

Retirement gift vacation

Loved my vacation had some issues with the toilet and the dishwasher . The toilet got fixed the next day after we arrived. The dishwasher was not useable while we were there. Other wise it was perfect. Planning on going back.

Stunning location

Makena surf is a wonderful place to stay and B building is outstanding! We were here during whale watching season and spent lots of time outside gazing at the ocean. Bring your binoculars! (There’s a pair here as well, but you’ll have to share 😜) The apartment is smallish, but has everything you’ll need. The staff of Ali’i is responsive and thorough. We had a small hornet nest outside the door and called to let them know. It was sprayed and cleared away before we got home from dinner. There are salt pepper and some spices available and coffee fixings for that first morning. The beds were fairly comfortable and daily towel service was a treat. The pool and hot tub are close and very well kept. Snorkeling out front was some of the best we found! Cuatro was an amazing dinner, ate there twice! Star Noodle was fabulous as well.

Okay but old and well used

Property used to be top notch but it is very dated and very used. The bedrooms are dark, the furniture is nice but old and worn. The kitchen is well laid out but there is NO cabinets for food. Everything is filled with utensils. Toaster is scary and only 2 slices. There were spider nests on the balcony plus NO UMBRELLAS! So by noon the whole balcony is unusable unless you like getting baked in the sun. You are on the 3rd floor so you have to walk up all those steps. Great exercise but could be challenging for some. We are locals and this was a stay-action. For the money, go elsewhere as there are many properties in better shape with better facilities. Total waste of money.

This was our second stay at Makena Surf. We enjoy the property and plan to stay here again in the future. However, we would not choose this particular unit again. The kitchen was difficult to work in. Appliances outdated and some not working. Not well stocked and knives in poor condition. Compared to our stay before this unit was underwhelming. We had to call for beach chairs as there were only 2 and the master bath was not clean enough. The other bathroom had no place to put toiletries so we had to keep them in the nightstands. Outdoor chairs and dining table in poor condition. Asked for more beach towels, since there was only one per person, and were told to wash them ourselves. This all sounds picky but it was a distraction dealing with the issues. For the money we expected more. That being said, the property is amazing and we plan on renting a different unit on our return.

A top floor unit in a top notch property

We very much enjoyed our stay in Makena Surf unit B-304 a few weeks ago. We've stayed at Makena Surf condos close to a dozen times over the past 20 years and this stay did not disappoint. Unit B-304 is beautifully furnished and the fine woodwork really is over the top! Things we loved about this unit: Dimmers for practically every light, Beautiful wood trim, granite counter tops, lots of bathroom storage, very tasteful furniture and art. Close to the parking but far enough to not hear traffic, being top-floor so nobody making noise above and no worries about security - you can leave the doors to the Lanai open and enjoy the deliciously clean air that the tradewinds bring in off the water. Things we did not like: this time - unlike past visits to the complex, there were numerous screaming kids at the pool each day and some evenings -the north pool is just out back of unit B-304 and on the beach in front there were more screaming kids though not as bad as the pool so we just shut the front door when it got bad. There was even a baseball game one afternoon/evening right on the sand in front of the Lanai and it definitely was not as relaxing as it could have been without that going on. The cookware in the unit is relatively cheap light weight non-stick kind you might find in certainly other than a chef's kitchen as are the knives. The choice of carpet color looks great in the photos when it was brand new- but being nearly white - in a rental unit may not have been wise - there are numerous stains to the carpeting throughout the condo. The cooktop is an extremely high tech Dacor unit and the controls are absolutely non-intuitive. Its an electric cooktop with a single glass surface and the painted on controls are virtually worn off from use and cleaning. You will need to get out your flashlight to read the controls. We actually had to call the resort management to figure out how to get it out of "safe mode" when it locked up and would not accept commands. There is an all night bright light which is in the common area walkway just outside of the unit which you cannot control and it partially shines into the master bedroom even with the blind turned completely down. A full blackout blind would remedy this problem. I'm only taking off one star for the negative items because it really is a beautiful unit and overall we did enjoy our stay just a few things that could have been better!

Perfect Location and Accommodations

Makena Surf E-#202 was truly a perfect spot for our time in Maui. We started and finished ever day on he balcony overlooking the ocean. We we literally 3 min walk to the gorgeous beach right in front of the resort. We snorkled around a great coral reef, were fortunate enough to swim with sea turtles every time we went out. There were paid snorkeling tours that came right to the reef we were lucky enough to have right in front of us. The area was quiet and secluded yet only a 5 minute drive to the town of Kihei and all the amenities you could need. The resort grounds were well kept and the room had a top notch kitchen, appliances and all you could want if you wanted to cook and eat in. The beds were very comfortable and the convenience of laundry in the room was great for a quick wash of bathing suits and laundry before going home. The best was the sliding glass doors which opened up the entire front wall to the sounds of the ocean and there was a convenient sliding screen to replace the glass which we used every night. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay at Makena Surf and unit E#202 again if we are lucky enough to come back.

Perfect beach, great condo

We loved the condo. We have stayed at Makena Surf 5 times, and this is the first time that we have been on the top floor. The views are spectacular, and the rooms are fitted out with great furniture and appliances. The service we received from Ali'i resorts was great, as every day the towels were changed , garbage taken down for us, kitchen wiped down, and mid- week we had the bed linens changed. It was like we were in a hotel, but so much better.

Loved Makena

We really enjoyed staying here. Views - breathtaking. Hearing the waves crash on the beach at night - heavenly! Discovering the herb garden with the basil, cilantro, oregano, rosemary - magical. I hope that the next time we come there will be some better serving bowls, servers, plates etc. so we can show off the unit when our friends drop over for dinner. Oh, and maybe check the volume on the tv?
