Keep it simple at this peaceful rustic cabin. Enjoy the gorgeous views of both city and nature on the wrap-around porch. You will be close to the city, yet far from the bustle.

Rough built cabin features full size bed, desk & chair, wood burning stove, fabulous deck, solar powered electricity, and composting toilet. Relax and enjoy the simple life. Bring your own water for drinking. (No running water on site.)

The drive is steep - 15% grade! Most vehicles make it up just fine in 2WD.

Peaceful off-grid cabin

We came in late so we didn't get much time to look around before we went to bed but we enjoyed our night here. We love the wood stove and quiet morning.

Such a cute cabin. The hardest part was no running water and shower and the toilet was interesting. The fire place was nice and bed was hard but sleepable.

Loved it, so nice to unplug for a bit, snuggle with my husband by the fire, super close to town, if you dont wanna try out the composting toilet 😀

Peaceful, Beautiful View

We had a great stay here enjoying the view and the woodstove. We were a little put off by the composting toilet and did not use it, same with the shower. All in all a good experience though!

We had a wonderful weekend away from the grind. Not a fan of a composting potty but it would not be a deterrence for another stay. Driveway pretty sketch! We should have burned the additional fuel and brought the truck instead.

Communication with host was great--did not stay at property

We changed our plans at the last minute so did not actually stay there--filled out this eval so I would stop receiving it. Communication with the host was excellent, however.

Perfect Retreat

It was everything I needed to get away. It was nice the city amenities were just down the hill. The cabin is cozy and welcoming. I packed out my trash, brought my own water and camp stove for making coffee. The wrap around porch was super lovely. I spent the evening reading until it got chilly, started a toasty fire and curled up in the comfy bed. I brought a couple lanterns to conserve the solar light and two were perfect. I loved waking up to the view of Coos Bay. I didnt mind the compost toilet at all. There was just a little of what was needed but glad I brought my own creature comforts. I would not change anything. I cant wait to stay again. I am thankful for the experience.
