Large 3 bedroom house near the eastern North Carolina wildlife refuges. The perfect place to enjoy bird/nature watching, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Minutes from Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, where countless Tundra Swan migrate for the winter. The house is near the riverfront town of Belhaven, that offers restaurants and public boat ramp options that provide access to the Pungo River and Pamlico Sound. The house is a short drive to Bell Island Swan Quarter Fishing Pier.

For our two couples group traveling together, the house was just great! Everything needed was provided and the house was close to the wildlife refuges. Could not have been better!

Enjoyable Stay Near our Destination

Happy to have found this house as an option on our yearly trips to Pungo! Amenities were perfect for our needs and though the house is older, it was clean and well taken care of. Hot water and cold/ac warm heat.

Nice place to get away from the busy schedule

The house was completely renovated and felt like home- plenty room for parking the boat and we love the area. Thank you for a nice place to stay and all the added personal touches from jam and apple butter to the chocolates in the candy dish.. we liked this place.

Excellent host, great location for Pungo Lake birding. A few suggestions: hot water in downstairs bathrooms takes a long time to show up. Also, consider removing throw rigs for safety reasons. Too slick/dangerous. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to return for another visit. MCS

Charming Red House

An absolutely charming little house just as advertised. The AC upstairs worked very well. This little house had everything we need for our long weekend trip. They even left a gift basket full of delicious treats.
