About this space
A perfect getaway with historic charm. Originally built in 1846 but recently renovated without erasing it's legacy. Located only 2 miles from the center of Wellsboro, adjacent to the Tyoga Golf Course, and just 7 miles from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Charming but grand, this spacious 2500+ square foot home offers 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and is situated on a private property with sunset views overlooking a picturesque pond.
The space
in addition to the home's 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths it also includes a formal dining room, tea room, den with a library and dedicated work space, cozy living room, gourmet kitchen, screened in back porch overlooking the pond, stone built fire pit,and a sprawling front deck with rockers.

This is a very nice house and the rooms are all nice size and comfortable. We went with another couple and very much enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. The cleanliness could have been better but wasn't bad by any means. The shower curtains had orange stuff at the bottom and other small things we suspect. The host was great and responded to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sunset Chateau! The house was clean, comfortable, and gorgeously decorated. The kids loved the trundle beds:-) I wished we'd would have had more time to take advantage of the firepit and screened in porch. If I ever stay in the area again, I will definitely try to book this house! One suggested addition - coffee grounds for the coffee maker. We were not able to find any grounds, but perhaps didn't look in the correct place??Thanks to Jen for answering my questions and assisting with the booking!

Great location, old house with plenty of room. Everything was very clean and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Biggest disappointment was four big garbage bags piled up near the door where you enter the house, attracting flies. Other than that, we made ourselves at home and enjoyed our stay and had a good time.

Beautiful

This property has generous space indoors and out, a beautiful property and view, a wonderful kitchen with almost everything you could need to cook with, and a super friendly host who responds very quickly. The outdoor space was used most nights for quality time around the fire. All eleven full-sized adults enjoyed our entire stay of 6 days and nights stay without ever feeling crowded. This was our 5th Vrbo and the absolute best one we've ever experienced.

Fantastic Property

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and its host. Jenn is fantastic. I had a couple questions before we arrived and she answered in a manner of minutes. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and probably one of the cleanest VRBOs I have ever been in. The pictures do not do it justice. The furniture and decorations are something that you would have in your own house, not cheap furniture. The beds were extremely comfortable and were freshly made upon arrival so when we got there the house was live in ready. We absolutely loved the kitchen/eating/porch combo and enjoyed watching the bunnies run all over the yard. The kitchen was well stocked and we did not lack any dishes or cooking utensils. Jenn also had dish towels, dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper already there. We had an amazing stay and will definitely rent again when we are in the area. I wish all VRBO hosts were this amazing.

This spacious house was enjoyable. It was clean and comfortable. Jenn is efficient and pleasant. It would be nice to stay there again when the snow has gone, enjoying the outdoors more.

Class of 84 ladies!

We loved the property! There were 5 of us and each had our own bed! Master bath was large enough ( with double sink) with large enough counter space for three of us. Second bathroom on smaller side, but plenty of room. Loved the original details of the historic property with modern outdated. Lots of room to dine together and hang out to watch movies. We give this place a 10!

Beautiful Updated Historical Home

This house is gorgeous and even though part of it was built in 1846 the updates they have done make it modern and cozy! We had six kids and six adults and felt right at home! The fire pit was so nice and the kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows. The location could not be better as its just a small drive outside town but still secluded. The owner was accommodating and answered all my historical questions I had about the house!

Beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our girls trip to Wellsboro. This house is stunningly decorated and we loved all of the decor. The beds were comfortable and the towels provided were so soft! Definitely not what you usually get at rentals. It was also so nice to have toilet paper and paper towels provided. The house is just a short 5 minute drive to town too. I highly recommend!

Beautiful, charming, spacious property

The house is lovely, comfortable, gorgeous decor. We also enjoyed walking around the property. My only complaint is the fridge doesn't have an ice maker, and there were no ice cube trays in the freezer, so I'd recommend adding some ice cube trays

2024 Family Vacation

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Wellsboro, PA. The house was very clean, and we took advantage of the excellent fire pit and sun porch. The house was convenient to all area attractions. We had great communication with our host Jenn, we will be coming back!
