Belle Vue sur l'eau de la crique isolée et le Rhode Island Sound

«Quatre Vents» est une belle maison en bardeaux de cèdre sur un chemin privé sur un terrain élevé qui abaisse graduellement un terrain herbeux à une crique isolée et Rhode Island Sound. La façade de la maison donne sur l'eau avec clôturé dans la cour à l'arrière. Toutes les chambres ont une vue sur l'eau. Le salon dispose d'une grande baie vitrée donnant sur le lac et d'une cheminée à bois. Le grand manger dans la cuisine est entièrement équipée comprenant un lave-vaisselle et a également une grande baie vitrée face à l'eau. L'herbe patio est entouré d'un mur de pierre et offre une belle vue sur l'eau ainsi que des brises fraîches d'été et est un excellent endroit pour des boissons en soirée. Une chambre de maître avec salle de bain privée est au premier étage avec une autre grande chambre et deux plus petites situées à l'étage.

Marchez une centaine de pieds jusqu'à la crique isolée et le soleil sur la plage, nager, tuba, le poisson ou apporter votre arlequin ou un kayak et explorer la côte. Apportez votre planche de surf et de marcher une centaine de verges sur la route de «Ville de la propriété», où les surfeurs montent la houle, ou tout simplement marcher le long de la côte rocheuse de voir ce que la marée a apporté en ce jour.

La Ville de Little Compton une plage publique. K.A. Rive-Sud est à moins de 2 miles sur la route et possède une plage de sable et en bas, les gardes de la vie, un parking, des toilettes, et un distributeur panier. Si les foules arriver à être trop pour vous venez de marcher sur la plage pour 'Goosewing' et profiter de la vie privée.

Savourez un repas au déjeuner communes ou faire un tour de Sakonnet Vineyards et ramasser une bouteille de vin pour le dîner. Un barbecue sur la plage est toujours un moment de plaisir surtout après que vous avez pris votre propre dîner hors de la Pêche Rock. Suivez cela avec un feu de bois flotté et s'mores et le dernier du vin.

L'été n'est pas le seul moment pour profiter de la beauté de l'eau de cette maison. L'automne et l'hiver offrent également leur propre merveille. I was thrilled to find this property because I grew up coming to the same street as a child. It was magical to be able to stay on the same road. The house itself was so charming and comfortable, and the view of the cove can't be beat!

Relaxing family vacation

This location is absolutely amazing! The view of the ocean is beautiful from every room in the house. Very quite spot, perfect for relaxing. Little Compton is a cute and quite town. We loved going to Young's farm to pick blueberries and flowers, riding our bikes around town, hiking and going to the beach. The town library was great, we borrowed books, movies to watch in the house and fishing gear. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. My only feedback is that we had a hard time finding matching sheets for all the beds.

Gorgeous view!

A beautiful view and a spacious home. We loved watching the sunrise over the water every morning (we were up with our toddler), the house and yard gave us plenty of room to relax, and the owner was very communicative and clear. The kitchen was fine--had everything we needed, though the stove burners were quite slanted and the floors could have been cleaner (pulled up lots of dirt and grime when cleaning below the high chair on day one). We also had a couple of unusually hot days on which we were longing for an AC unit, if even just for our toddler's room. Most of the time, though, the breeze off the water cooled things down nicely, especially at night. By far the best part of this rental is the location. The view is so amazing, and we absolutely loved South Shore Beach, which was a quick, traffic-free 5 minutes away. All in all, a very nice stay!

I am so sorry that the kitchen floor was not clean. In the past, we have always had people comment on how clean the house has been. I will make certain that I talk with our cleaning lady so that it does not happen in the future. I am glad you enjoyed your vacation. It is our favorite vacation spot!

Great vacation for a family

Our extended family of 9 including 3 young children very much enjoyed the location and layout of this delightful house. The fenced in yard was the perfect play area, the view unbeatable for adults relaxing and supervising. The house layout allows nice privacy, access to amenities and play area for the kids. Sun, damp and heat were intense during our hot July week, but closing blinds and strategic fan placement got us through. We especially enjoyed Horseshoe Beach MA state park, with plenty of room for all to enjoy the smooth sand and refreshing waves. A rainy day trip to the multiple museums in Springfield MA, a little over 2 hours away, was fun, we especially enjoyed the Dr. Suess museum and activities. We hope to be back in the future!

The home was in a spectacular setting, breezy, well equipped, and with great views. Kids loved the kitchen table and the views, and the nearby beaches and big surf (town beach, Briggs, and Horseneck). Little Compton is a beautiful rural place with friendly people and rock fences on every property. I am going back here again.

A fabulous week with friends and family in a most beautiful setting.

We just spent a week in our idea of what a summer home should be. It was on Little Cove Road in Little Compton, RI. It is a quiet, spacious, airy, well-appointed house with a million-dollar view of Little Cove on the Atlantic. This charming house has a master bedroom on the first floor with its own bath ... plus a full kitchen, a big comfortable beamed living room, a laundry room and a half bath. The second floor has three bedrooms (two with bunk beds, one with a queen-sized bed) and a full bathroom. If anything, the views from the second floor are even more spectacular. A neat part of this setting is that it faces due East so the morning sun greeted us every morning for our coffee and disappeared behind the house in the afternoon ... cooling everything off. A grassy patio off the living room is perfect for cocktail time, al fresco dining and barbecuing…and it’s just a short walk to the beach! This house is part of a three-house complex all owned by the same extended family for generations and an important plus was the comity of the other residents. A professor of ornithology and his lovely daughters patiently taught our grandchildren all about crabbing, Tautog fishing and the capture and tagging of birds. At times we had as many as ten people easily staying overnight without any discomfort. We highly recommend giving this house a try ... but., please, not when we want to rent it …

Great Family Vacation

Spectacular views and comfort

We had a great time here in September -- our second visit. The house is well-maintained, immaculate, and very comfortable. Every room has a spectacular view of the ocean which is only a few hundred steps away. We love relaxing on the patio watching the waves and walking on the rocky beaches. The nearby town of LC is beautiful and historic. Be sure to visit Evelyn's for good seafood, and The Commons Lunch for genuine RI johnnycakes. We hope to come back!

We stayed from Aug1-15 . The house was clean and comfortable

We were a party of 9,mix adults and children. The very first thing you notice is the breath taking views of the cove and ocean beyond from every window. We all enjoyed walking down to the cove ,the kids loved looking for sea glass , small smooth stones and driftwood. The house's yard faced the cove, was great for relaxing in the late afternoon or early evening after a day at the town beach. The kids enjoyed the beach and yard as well . They liked kite flying and games of tag in the constant breeze we all enjoyed in the yard. The location was perfect too. Some of us went to Newport and others took the children to Battle Ship Cove on our rainy day. A trip later in the week to the Whaling Museum and lunch at the Sakonet Winery al fresco rounded out two beautiful weeks. I enjoyed having coffee every morning in the kitchen and watching the sun come up over the Atlantic in utter peace and quiet. The setting of the house is perfect, The Community of Little Compton is charming. If there is a draw back it this, although there is plenty of town beach space during the week if you plan to use the town beach on Saturday or Sunday arrive early.

Excellent View!

The view totally makes this property! Every room that you might hang out in has a view of the ocean. If you are up early, there is a beautiful sunrise to welcome you to the day. We were in LC for a family reunion and there is plenty of space in the house to socialize with guests. My sister brought kayaks you could walk down to the water from our house. My husband swam there. We had a fire there on the beach with s'mores on one night. There are a few quirks like the saggy yellow-striped sofa and a shower door that needs some adjusting but given the other benefits, they are easy to overlook. We especially loved walking in the mornings, swimming at South Shore and going to Sakonnet Vineyards. The owner was always responsive. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Highly Recommend!

We rented this property in July 2014, after first staying in August 2011. We found the place to be exactly as we remembered. The house is still roomy and immaculate, the sweeping lawn to the cove is still beautiful and well maintained, and the overall vibe is still relaxing and peaceful. We can't say enough about the place. We plan to return as often as we can.

Best view in Little Compton

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were looking for a totally relaxing week away from our city life and we found it! The house is clean and comfortable. And the beautiful view of Little Pond Cove gave us a wonderful sense of calm and serenity. One evening we saw an amazing moonrise over the cove. The only addition that would make this house absolutely perfect would be a screened-in porch! (There are flying insects a-plenty in the evenings.) Otherwise we would definitely go back!

Best vacation spot!

My husband and I have rented this house with two other couples for the last three years. The view of the ocean is amazing and all of the bedrooms have a view. The picture window in the living room and kitchen also have a beautiful view. All of the bedrooms are comfortable and the house was immaculately clean. We enjoy visiting sakonet vineyard and eating at the Common Lunch. We spend time in Newport and Block Island is a short ferry ride away. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

Best time I had all summer!

This house is in the most wonderful location. You can walk down the road to the beach, you have a big lawn to enjoy and a beautiful home. Everything faces out toward the breath-taking view. It is simple and perfect for enjoying the outdoors. It's not a far ride from downtown Little Compton and a perfect distance for day trips to Newport and other touristy spots. We couldn't have been happier!

Great location!

We stayed for a week in late June and there is no better escape from muggy NYC. The house is GORGEOUS: perfect for relaxing and reading or grilling and entertaining. We had a blast! Highly recommend:
