C’est l’endroit idéal pour les vacances en famille, les rencontres avec les écrivains / artistes, le farniente sur le pont, l’équitation en quad ou à cheval, le peignage de plage, la pêche / pêche au crabe / palourdes, le golf, la pêche sportive au saumon de printemps / automne ou les voyages d’affaires. La maison est nichée dans 5 hectares boisés entre Joe Ney et South Slough, à 3 km du port de Charleston. Des bruits de phoque ou de bouée de brouillard peuvent être entendus à certaines périodes de l'année. Ouvrez les portes françaises et écoutez les oiseaux ou faites griller une guimauve sur le foyer. La maison a une terrasse enveloppante pour le divertissement et un barbecue. Route circulaire pour un accès facile avec carport, ainsi qu'une grange / pâturage clôturé pour les amateurs de chevaux.

Courte distance en voiture pour une journée à jouer sur plusieurs plages (regardez les surfeurs à la plage du phare), entrez dans le port du vieux monde de Charleston pour craquer, palourdes, restaurants ou profiter des boutiques de cadeaux. Louez un bateau pour un voyage de pêche en haute mer ou lancez une ligne sur les rochers de la jetée pour attraper une morue Ling. Visitez les célèbres jardins botaniques de Shore Acres (connus pour les lumières de Noël de novembre à janvier, les beaux paysages et l'histoire). Super endroit pour un mariage! Que diriez-vous d'une visite au South Slough pour le kayak, la randonnée dans la nature ou l'observation des oiseaux.
L'observation des baleines est un sport populaire ici…. En parlant de sport - pour les amateurs de quad. Sautez sur les dunes en 20 minutes au nord à Horse Falls. Des dunes remontent la côte jusqu'à Winchester Bay, où se déroule chaque année en août le Dunefest. Visitez le phare d'Umpqua.

Moins de 15 minutes en voiture dans les deux sens est Coos Bay ou North Bend. Promenez-vous dans le centre-ville de Coos Bay pour leurs boutiques et restaurants. Profitez de la promenade du vin, promenez-vous le 1er vendredi de chaque mois jusqu'en octobre, marché des agriculteurs tous les mercredis, ou rejoignez les habitants pour le spectaculaire feu d'artifice du 4 juillet au Mill Casino. North Bend possède un centre commercial, un bowling et un cinéma. Mill Casino est situé entre Coos Bay et North Bend sur la route 101. Ils ont de merveilleux restaurants, un bar avec des spectacles de groupe et bien plus encore.
Montez la rivière Coos / Millicoma dans une aventure d'une journée pour faire de la randonnée dans les chutes Golden / Silver, amusez-vous à jouer dans un ruisseau et aventurez-vous à la pisciculture.
Juste après Charleston se trouve Sunset 9 Whole Golf Coarse pour le golfeur en vous. Voyagez 25 minutes au sud vers le charmant centre-ville de Bandon pour vous promener dans les magasins ou jouer une partie de golf au célèbre Bandon Golf Coarse.

2025 visit to Charleston area

Except for a little blip on the last day, our stay was great and the owners were as helpful as could be. Would highly recommend this house and property as a quiet, comfortable place to stay if you are visiting this area of the Oregon coast.

Beautiful house and property. We loved the wrap around porch. My 87 year old Mother was happy to see a recliner in the living room. The mattresses were on the firm side but we slept good. We would stay here again in a minute!!!

Coos bay 2025

This place was more than what we expected!The wrap around porch was amazing! The trees and smell of them is something you just have to be there to appreciate..! We loved the privacy of the property and the easy and close access to Jamestown and coos bay! Just can’t really say enough about this property other than 5 plus stars all around!! We are actually planning another trip in two years and hope this place is available then!!

Coos Bay paradise

We do an annual crabbing trip, and this house and property is such a fantastic spot to stay. Plenty of room, very quiet location and near Charleston marina. Great communication with the owners, absolutely loved our stay.

Amazing Get Away

When we pulled up we were highly impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The house is not to far from town but there are no neighbors right on top of you. There have plenty of property for our kids to play on and a gorgeous wrap around porch to enjoy the beautiful weather. They were amazing and checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. It was an amazing experience and we were able to make some great memories as a family!

A Hidden Gem Surrounded by Nature

This place was an absolute gem! Tucked away in a peaceful, wooded area near Coos Bay. The home was spotless, cozy, and so inviting. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the shower was amazing after a long day. One of my favorite features was the wraparound porch it was perfect for enjoying fresh air and the quiet surroundings. The location felt private and relaxing, and communication with the host was smooth and easy from start to finish. You can tell this home is well cared for. We would definitely stay here again! Great outpost in the hills

Clean and well-appointed home on 5-acres. Close to Charleston, beaches, and the South Slough estuary, this is a great home base for all kinds of adventures. Also not to far from Bandon Dunes golf resort.

Wooded Ocean Retreat

This is a beautiful quiet place! Close to Charleston Harbor. The home has everything you need( bring your special spices). Beds are very comfortable. Hosts were wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

This is now our favorite VRBO home. The home and the owners were both awesome. The house is very inviting and comfortable. We saw deer and wild turkey on the property. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful retreat!!

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home and peaceful setting. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch! The home was clean and tidy and had everything that we needed for our stay. Birthday getaway

We visit Charleston/Coos Bay every year for July 4th and my significant others birthday. This house and property is a piece of Heaven. Abundant wildlife. The owners are so nice and were so easy to message and respond very quickly. We will definitely be staying here again!

Fantastic place!

The house was amazing, spacious, and nicely kept. The property is a bit off the beaten path, so it was peaceful. Wildlife came to visit every day, and we were well protected when the wind really picked up. We were able to host a large group outside for dinner around the firepit, and everyone kept wishing the place was for sale so they could buy it!

Real Peace and Quiet

The owners are real people, not investors, who care deeply about this rural home and the people who visit. I loved the big porch, and room to breath and walk around. The bed was comfortable and Netflix worked easily.

Loved the quiet area and house was everything as described and more it was fun spending time with my nieces and great nephews they enjoy exploring the yard being a fisherman you are only 2 miles from dock enjoyed relaxing on the wrap around porch saw deer in the yard it was a very spacious and comfortable

The Best Place to Stay in All of Coos Bay!

Absolutely beautiful home. Well appointed in every way. Wonderful communication with owners. Very private. Approximately 5 acres, with wildlife like deer and turkeys saying hi every morning.. 15 minutes to central Coos Bay or North Bend airport. 30 minutes to Bandon (the golf capitol of Oregon). Beautiflu scenic roads both directions. Would love to stay another 2 weeks.

A little bit of nature

The home is very adequate, has all the kitchen amenities you would need. The deck and the yard are charming. Deer in the morning were delightful. I would say that it is in need of some updated furnishings. If you don't mind a little rough around the edges, then you will have a very nice time.

Wonderful Family Live of the Land Experience

We have arranged a family re-union with our adult children at Coos Bay/Charleston. Besides delighted to find this lovely country home nested in a peaceful 5 acres lot that can comfortably accommodating the 5 of us, I was mostly touched by how welcoming and responsive the owner Janeen acted toward us. She was extremely quick in replying to my inquiries and went out of her way to allowing my daughter & her boyfriend to check in early due to their flight arrival schedule as well as securing extra beach chairs for us. Her kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils. But what impressed us the most is her supplies in the garage. We were able to use her crab cage, shovel, rake, and buckets to do clamming and crabbing near Charleston and cooked up the fruit of our labor for dinner at night. We had a great time and will definitely come back to visit in the future.

We were drawn to the Coos Bay area because of the beauty of the varying landscape from the wooded hillsides to the beautiful tree lined dunes and beaches and for the vast amount of outdoor activities available that put you in the middle of all that beauty. Our family enjoys the beaches, quad riding, horseback riding, fishing and hunting, boating, and relaxed atmosphere that the Coos Bay area offers. We purchased this home as a primary residence so that our family could live in the area that they loved to play in.

As a result of a career change for us - We thought that people would enjoy this peaceful location as much as we do and decided to turn it into a vacation rental. By doing this we would also be able to return and enjoy our house for family vacations.
