Welcome to The Riverside! Nestled on the bank of the Matanuska River, this cozy riverfront property is the epitome of relaxation and comfort. Boasting south facing views over the water, you will be watching Alaska’s world class sunsets from the hot tub on the deck while enjoying the sounds of the river below.

Located on a quiet street at the base of the mountains, this property offers panoramic views of the mountains over the water. Just five minutes from picturesque downtown Palmer, you’re just a short drive from all major amenities. Multiple grocery stores, delicious dining establishments, coffee shops and the best gift shops hosting local Alaskan artists and businesses are just minutes away.

With a fully stocked kitchen, WiFi, and SmartTVs located in each bedroom, you are able to experience all the conveniences of the modern world while enjoying the peace and quiet of this space. Head outside to a comfortable outdoor seating area, fire pit and a hot tub located on our expansive south facing deck. No matter the season you will be wowed by the views witnessed from floor to ceiling windows in this open living space.

Ready to explore? Go no further! Just one mile away is one of the Mat-Su Valley’s most popular hikes, Bodenburg Butte trail. Also nearby are local attractions such as Williams Reindeer Farm and the Musk Ox farm. If visiting us in the summer head into Palmer for our weekly “Friday Flings”, Colony Days and of course the Alaska State Fair! No matter the time of year you are perfectly located for fishing, hiking, atv rides and glacier tours! Want to explore the mountains? Beautiful Hatcher Pass is only 25 minutes away, offering numerous hikes for all experience levels.

And of course just a short 40 minute commute to Anchorage.

Wonderful, newer property in a beautiful setting. Only a few minutes to downtown Palmer, but feels like you're a million miles from anywhere while sitting in the hottub looking at the river! We hope to return soon.

Property better than pictures.

Stayed a week. Mountains with snow caps view from front, river in back, very quiet area. Only disappointment was level of river water, was way down. Palmer about 10 minutes away and has everything you need. Property looks better than pictures, it is only about a year old. Saw a few moose when traveling Old Glenn highway south.

An Adorable A-Frame

A fantastic, fantastic little a-frame overlooking the river with all the amenities you need inside. We used this as our homebase as we eloped in the Chugach mountains! Highly recommend!

Cute A-Frame

Was a great stop on our way north... we had everything we needed in the kitchen and the hot tub was a great place to unwind and plan our next day. Bugs werent an issue so whatever contraption you have outside is worth its weight in gold. :) Beds were comfy and the home felt very comfortable overall. Whatever scent you have in the bathroom please share as it really smelled great!

Sigh, must I leave?

My stay at this beautiful property was just what I wanted. Photos on VRBO are accurate, but there’s something about physically experiencing it that cannot be captured in a photo. Everything was ready for my stay. Spotless. The interior decor is exceptionally well done to my taste. The kitchen had everything I needed, as did the rest of the house. I appreciated the washer and dryer! The deck overlooks the river basin. I was one of fortunate ones who chose a day that I could see Denali in the distance. A lovely firepit on the deck was perfect for unwinding and enjoying my surrounding. Same with the awesome hot tube. If the chance ever comes again for me to visit Palmer, I will stay here, if they will have me. Gorgeous home. Thank you for allowing me to stay.

Best home in Palmer

I stayed for my birthday weekend. The host Amanda went above and beyond in welcoming me to her home. She had an adorable birthday card with a hand written note along with a balloon and my favorite wine. She made it a point to make sure there was a fire pit there and the jacuzzi was prepped and ready to go! First of all.. if you want to feel like you are in a Hallmark movie 10/10 recommend staying here when it’s snowing, the floor to ceiling windows that over look the river is spectacular.I easily sat there in awe of the beautiful view for 2hours. The fireplace adds the perfect amount of coziness and warmth. The amount of attention to details and atmosphere you could tell was carefully thought out. From the kitchenware down to the amount of wall plugs, to the amenities in the bathroom everything think was high quality.. i had to ask where she bought the shampoo and conditioner be cause i felt like i left the hair salon after using the products. I could go on and on about how amazing this home is.. but I will say the one bad thing about this experience was the fact i had to leave. 10/10 would recommend spending at-least 1 night here!! If I could I would love to live here.
