Fabulous Place

We had a wonderful stay at White Lyon Manor! The place was gorgeous with lots of amenities and the host Liza was fantastic! Historic place but yet with updated attributes. The property was convenient and private. We toured the area and is an easy drive to RI and MA. The pool was great for afternoons/evenings after exploring! Highly recommend! Thank you!!

Amazing property and host!

Rented this house for a senior team offsite. Liza was amazing, always responded promptly to my communications, and the house itself is incredible...the pictures do not do it justice. Liza goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable (fresh muffins & cookies on arrival), and the house has a warm, cozy feel.

Amazing home and incredible experience

We absolutely loved our stay! We had 8 couples for a weekend lacrosse tournament at Wesleyan. There was so much space, we fit comfortably and had everything we needed. We even hosted dinner for the team one evening. I gave the Description 4 stars simply because it does not do justice to the home. It is so much more than what you see online. Liza is amazing and responded quickly to any questions. I definitely recommend a stay here. We hope to be back for a reunion one day!

Absolutely phenomenal estate getaway

This was the best vacation rental my family has had the pleasure of staying at. The house is absolutely stunning—pictures do not do it justice! Every room is thoughtfully decorated and stocked with every supply you could possibly need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. From the backyard pool to the fantastic massage chair and cozy movie theatre, there is fun for everyone here! But, what truly makes this place extraordinary is the fantastic host. Liza, went above and beyond in accommodating our family and making us feel at home. You will not regret staying at the White Lion Manor!

Amazing property and weekend

We stayed at the White Lion Manor for a family wedding and had a wonderful time. The property was amazing, we all had a great time and there was plenty of room for all of us (8 adults and 1 child). The home is stunning. Liza has thought of everything; no detail was overlooked. Our only disappointment was due to the wedding we didn't have time to enjoy the hot tub nor the theater room. We will just have to check those out next time we visit. Anyone who visits will not be disappointed. Thank you Liza for sharing this amazing property with me and my family.

Incredible Experience

Staying at While Lion Manor is heaven on earth! Our group has stayed at several vacation homes over the past ten years and Liza's place is BY FAR the best. We jumped from the pool to the hot tub and back again, both day and night. We watched a movie in the theater, seated in oversized reclining chairs under luxurious blankets. We cooked elaborate meals in a kitchen that had EVERYTHING, including 2 big refrigerators. All throughout the property, indoor and outdoor flameless candles set a relaxing mood and guided us to and from the far corners of the Manor. Liza is much more than a host - she treats her guests like they were lifelong friends. Before we left, we made reservations for next year!

Perfection!

We had an amazing time at the White Lion!!! We were a group of 11 (6 adults, 5 teens) and we had plenty of space to come together as a large group and room to relax privately when desired. We did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen very well appointed. We really appreciated the double ovens for homemade pizza night, the double refrigerators for all of our food and beverages, and the double dishwashers because we were a big group! We had a blast in the pool and got tub and everyone in the group loved the massage chair! We also had a great time watching a movie in the theater room--the chairs are so comfy and the TV screen is massive!!!! The host was incredible and includes a lot of special touches to make everyone feel welcome! This is by far the best host and and the best vacation rental I've experienced!! I truly hope we can stay here again!!

Wonderful experience!

We stayed at the White Lion for a company team building event. It was a beautiful home with all the amenities you could dream of! We had a group of 8 and the house had plenty of room for each of us but still felt cozy! We enjoyed the hot tub in the snow which was a magical experience! We also were able to watch the Superbowl on the huge TV in the wonderfully appointed theatre. Liza thought of every detail when it comes to home decor. All of her little touches made our stay so much fun! Liza was amazing from start to finish. The communication with her was quick and easy. We had a snow storm while we were there and they were very quick to show up and plow us out! I would recommend the White Lion for any large group event or family get together. It offers luxury and space while still feeling homey and cozy. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Girls Weekend Getaway

We just had an amazing stay at the White Lion Manor for a friend’s 50th birthday weekend getaway. The host, Liza, was very responsive before our arrival in answering any questions we had. She went out of her way with special touches within the manor to welcome guests upon their arrival. She provided a walk through of the home which was helpful so you are aware of all that there is to offer. It was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The space is large enough for many guests while also offering many spaces for privacy and quiet when desired. Our group took advantage of the hot tub, sauna, massage chair, chef’s kitchen, theater room and the many places to sit and just enjoy the time together. We are already looking forward to making this a yearly trip and can’t wait to visit the White Lion Manor again. Thank you, Liza, for sharing your beautiful home and being so welcoming!

Wedding in CT

We were in the area for our daughter’s wedding. The White Lion Manor was the perfect home base for our family to be together before, during and after the wedding. From the delightful Blueberry Pudding Cake and sugar cookies YUM !!!! and bottle of wine and snacks to greet us to cozy blankets in the theater room all the details made us feel comfortable. There were 12 of us and we had a couple of sleeping areas to spare.. Liza the , host, provided all the amenities that makes your stay effortless. There are plenty of clean thought out spaces… you could have a private nook to relax or where all could hang out or play games in game room/informal den and/or eat in the informal dining area off the kitchen where all could sit and chat or an elegant formal dining room if you prefer… half of the fun was finding which room everyone was in! Every-time I walked thru I found something else that caught my attention. The host was very responsive.. Would definitely recommend staying here whether a big group or small gathering.., .. you will not be disappointed

An Unforgettable Family Getaway: Luxury, Comfort, and Memories to Last a Lifetime

We stayed at this beautiful rental home to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and it was a perfect choice! Our group included four families with ages ranging from 9 to 76, and everyone had a fantastic time. From the moment we pulled up, the house made an incredible impression with its grand presence. Inside, it was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space for the family to gather while also offering cozy spots to curl up with a book for some quiet time. The amenities were outstanding. Many of us enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sauna, and the massage chair was an unexpected treat that everyone raved about. The home theater was another highlight—like having our very own high-end, immersive movie theater! It made for some unforgettable family movie nights. Our host, Liza, was wonderful—helpful and kind, with thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome from the start. It’s clear she takes great pride in creating a warm and inviting experience for her guests.Overall, this home gave us the perfect setting for a memorable family celebration, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed getaway.

Amazing Rental Perfect for a Family Weekend!

We recently stayed at this wonderful house for a family weekend with our extended family, and it was absolutely perfect! The home comfortably slept everyone, with plenty of beds and space for all of us. The large kitchen was a dream, making it easy to prepare meals for a crowd, and the spacious living room and video room were ideal for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying quality time together. It was truly the perfect setup for spending time with a large group. You can tell the owners have put so much care and attention into the house. Every detail felt intentional, and the space was warm, inviting, and designed to make guests feel at home. The Christmas decorations were a special highlight—they were incredible! Every common area was beautifully adorned, which kept us in the holiday spirit the entire weekend. It was such a magical touch that really made our stay unforgettable. On top of everything, the owners were fantastic! When we needed a little extra assistance, they were there within minutes to help us out, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Their attentiveness and kindness did not go unnoticed.I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great place to gather with family or friends. We are already looking forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you so much, Liza, for making our weekend so memorable!

Life long friends

We are a group of life long friends in our sixties who take a mini vacation together every August. Well, this one was the BEST! From the time we inquired about White Lion Manor, Liza was incredible with her quick responses to all of our many questions. When we arrived, the place was even better than we had expected. There were plenty of beds and plenty of gathering areas, although we spent most of our time outside on the patio or by the beautiful pool. The kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable! It got to be a joke after a while when someone would say something like, "I wonder if there is a pizza stone here? Or, do you think there is an ice cream maker?" And there was! On top of the many amenities, there were all of Liza's personal touches, like the fresh flowers, water, wine, cake and snacks on our arrival, and all kinds of reading materials about the house and the surrounding community. We had all kinds of plans to go to wineries and breweries, but we wound up staying at the house because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you, Liza for allowing 13 special friends to enjoy a getaway with not a care in the world. It is obvious that you take pride in what you do.
