Welcome to "Above the Clouds", your year-round retreat in the heart of Wintergreen. Our spacious house, nestled just minutes away from the ski lodge at Wintergreen Resort, offers a warm embrace to visitors seeking adventure any season of year.
Wintergreen is a special place that has many activities during each season such as skiing, tubing, hiking, biking, fishing, boating and golf. PLUS, you are only minutes away from Nelson151's renowned wineries, craft beer, ciders and distilleries...cheers!
Our house is five bedrooms four bathroom that is tucked back at the end of a cul-de-sac where you can enjoy the privacy of the spacious of a nearly 4000sq ft house. This house has the comforts of a private home, as this never rented before as it was used for family, now we offer you that same home away from home comfort and luxury. The space will accommodate four families plus your fur ball family member.
Feel free to use this house as your own.

Beautiful home and location. Great views and everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Great host as well. I received a text from them the morning of our arrival even though it was Christmas Day. Wintergreen was great as a whole.

We prepared all of our meals here, and the kitchen had everything we needed--even some spices we forgot. The coffee bar was fully stocked, and we took full advantage of the Keurig cups and accessories! The hot tub was perfect and enjoyed by all! It was a wonderful two-night stay for our family of 15! Communication with our host was easy and immediate

Wonderful place in the Mountains

Beautiful house and location

The house was perfect for our large family group to celebrate Thanksgiving week. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful house with a well equipped kitchen and fun game room. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was spacious and clean and the property is beautiful. We felt so relaxed! Close to some local breweries so we made use of those for sure! Great gateway with friends

The home was just perfect. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub on large porch a lot. Great location, very clean. The owner answered all of our questions very fast, great communication. Definitely will rent again and recommend to everyone.

Fantastic home!

We loved our 4 day stay in this home. It is in very good condition, is equipped exceptionally well, and was very clean. The 5 college guys traveling with us loved the pool table, poker table, and hot tub. All of us enjoyed the grill, awesome kitchen, and great location for hiking. And, the host is very responsive. This will be a repeat for us!

Amazing House with an Amazing Owner

Nothing but good things to say about this place. I organized a ski trip for 14 of my friends and this house comfortably slept all of them. Michael is a wonderful host that is very punctual with responding to any questions throughout your stay. The house was clean and made all of us in our mid-20s feel like kids again with the pool table, basketball game, etc.

Beautiful house in the woods

This was such a beautiful house, I wish we could stay forever. We loved the hot tub, tromping through the woods, exploring the resort’s trails, and just spending time as a family! There are so many great trails nearby, and we had to go into Shenandoah National Park of course! We also enjoyed an apple orchard, went through the grand caverns (about an hour away), and played lots of cards! My cell reception wasn’t practically nonexistent, but that’s to be expected high in the mountains. Lovely place. Thank you!

We had a big family (14 big people) reunion and the house couldn’t have been more suited. Lots of space for everyone including great basement/family room, great fireplace in the living room, nice open kitchen w adequate cookware/utensils, and a big dining room table for the entire squad. Michael was super responsive and accommodating - a very good host. We really enjoyed our time there.Thank you, Michael!
