Enjoy a private waterfront experience in the DownEast. Located in a quaint little fishing village, this Jonesport Oceanfront cottage offers direct access to a private beach on Moosabec Reach. Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Bring a furry friend as the cottage is also a dogs’ paradise.

Excellent cottage for families. The location was perfect and was very quiet. We had awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. Everything we needed to make our stay memorable was at hand. The beach was easily accessible. We found a lot of treasures.

As soon as you walk through the door, every ounce of stress disappears. From the ocean view out every window to the lobster boats coming in and out of the bay, there couldn't be a more ideal location. House is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Week on the Ocean

Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

Perfect Downeast Cottage

The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

We've stayed in many rentals, and this was by far our favorite! It really is an amazing property with an amazing view, as advertised! The house is very comfortable, and very well equipped. The (5) of us all said that our stay here was truly a highlight of the summer. We had to force ourselves to leave the house to explore the area- didn't want to leave the deck! And our dogs loved playing on the quiet beach. All in all quite heavenly!

Perfect Fall beach destination

Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

Amazing Views

Amazing location and views allowing for some rest and relaxation in the quiet coastal town of Jonesport. We loved sitting on the porch watching the lobster boats pass by and exploring for treasures along the beach. Great spot - we hope to be back.

Peaceful & Perfect!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location.

Very Special Place!

This property is everything and then some. We had a wonderful week of pure Maine beauty all around us. Bring binoculars!! We watched the seals everyday and even had a couple deer in the back yard one evening. Peaceful, beautiful, and the house has everything you need. We will definitely return to this property!

Gorgeous location

A great location on the Maine coast. Private beach and 180 views. Watching the lobster boats going and returning was so interesting. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Definitely would like to return.

Fabulous Views and Great Beach

Fantastic house on a beautiful beach. The house was clean, and extremely well appointed! Everything from linens to laundry detergent was there for your convenience. We had a lovely stay. Very secluded location away from the crowds. An hour away from most attractions.

Downeast Escape

This property is absolutely perfect for a quiet, relaxing, remote Maine getaway. Another amazing stay at this spectacular home!

This was our second stay and we loved it even more! The views of the beach, ocean and other islands are outstanding and unobstructed. The beds and all furniture were so comfortable. Such a convenient location - Each day we did a different day trip to a different corner of the Bold Coast to access beaches and coastal Mountain View’s. We always looked forward to Coming back to the house at the end of the day for a relaxing sunset viewing. This house and location on the private beach are a perfect getaway! We loved it!
