This cabin is amazing!! It's nestled high in the mountains with a great view!! There were so many details like a coffee bar and shampoo and conditioner with hair dryers and qtips in the bathrooms. It felt like staying at a nice resort. It was so clean and new with a gorgeous modern rustic aesthetic. The basement with all the games was so much fun. We can't wait to come back!!!

Jennifer, a high mountain perch with a view, plus a coffee bar and the little bathroom extras, is exactly the kind of detail that turns a cabin into a resort-style retreat. Glad the modern rustic feel and the game-filled basement kept everyone entertained. The mountain will be here whenever you are ready to return.

The place was nice and clean. Our family really enjoyed the amenities in the lower level. We were not able to utilize the air hockey table due to the puck broken, but it was not a deal breaker. We did see a mama bear and her cubs everyday. The view was amazing. There was plenty of room for our family of four and including our dog. We loved all the extra thoughtfulness the owners thought of for dogs. We will definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

Just beautiful. We loved our cabin. It was so neat and lots to do for the kids. The VIEWS are just AMAZING. So high in the mountains and totally worth it. Highly recommend. Definitely had some Bear experience.

My family stayed here for thanksgiving and we had a great time. The cabin is super kid friendly and has something for everyone to enjoy. The road and drive way up to the cabin is super steep, but the beautiful view was worth it. We would stay here again.

We have nothing but GREAT things to say about Big Bear Shack. It completely exceeded all of our expectations. Wonderfully relaxing, clean, close to town, and amazing views! We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing weekend getaway

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. Clean, and well maintained. Close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge, we were able to find many things to do either way. The game room was definitely a hit with our family.

Great Two Night Getaway!

This cabin was perfect for my family to go hangout in the mountains for a couple of nights. It was a short drive away from the Gatlinburg strip, had tons of fun activities inside the cabin, and was extremely clean. We brought our French bulldog and he had a great time. Host was very timely with responses. We have no complaints. Even got to see a bear on our way leaving!

This property is awesome! It has plenty of space to spread out, lots of things to do for the kids, super comfortable beds, and breathtaking views from the deck! The property is conveniently located, and I give it a hands down 5 stars! property manager Justin is super responsive, helpful and kind! We would absolutely stay there again!

Fun birthday get-away- pet friendly

Location and cabin is amazing and clean. Fun games and amenities. Super pet friendly with toys and bowls included, which was much appreciated. Fully stocked and beautiful kitchen…everything you need to stay in. Would book again. Only down side was cleaning crew showed up over an hour and 20 minutes before checkout. Our checkout was 10am; but the cleaning crew showed up at 8:40ish and waited in the tiny parking lot until we left at 9:30….which made the checkout kinda stressful and uncomfortable, but that has nothing to do with the host. The host was beyond incredible. Just make sure you leave 2 to 3 hours before checkout apparently.

Big Bear Shack

The house was as good or better than what was advertised. The wife and I brought the daughter and family at first we had to watch going downstairs because we would get ambushed with all the nerf guns but the kids had a blast and we could go to other floors to relax.It would be nice if you could put threshold ramps at ramp door and one going from living room to deck.The 2nd floor was accessible for my wheel chair and brought my own shower chair. Everything worked out great Thank you

Cabin was nice. No dresser in the master had to keep our folded clothes in our suit cases. Had to do some cleaning once we arrived. Trash was not emptied, pots and plates were not clean, not water spots but grains of food on them. The lot is not pet friendly. We had to take our pups on daiily trips to the visitor center to use the restroom. Grass\weeds were extremely tall. My dogs will not use a dog pad, they are potty trained, it was on the porch for bad weather. It smelled really bad so was not an option. Contacted the owner a couple times they were responsive, but no issue was resolved. I am a small business owner and never want to leave a less than perfect review, but to many issues to let it go.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin itself, though we’re sorry your stay did not feel perfect. We want to clarify a few of the concerns you mentioned: 1. The dresser in the master bedroom was unfortunately broken by a prior guest. A replacement had already been ordered at the time of your stay, and it has since been installed. 2. Regarding the cleaning items you noticed on arrival, our housekeeping team offered to return right away to address them, but we understand you preferred not to have them come back during your stay. 3. For pet accommodations, we do provide a designated doggie bathroom on the balcony, which is sanitized after every turnover. We also have a waste station at the front of the property, and most guests find these sufficient. We’ve never had guests need to take their pets elsewhere, though we certainly understand that every dog has different habits. 4. While the grassy area near the property is not part of our grounds, we went ahead and had it trimmed after your stay to make it more convenient for future guests. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope we can host you again under better circumstances.

This was a beautiful place to stay! Very family friendly! Lots of games and entertainment for the kids. They were never bored. We enjoyed the cleanliness of the place and it had all the things we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The host was very responsive throughout our entire stay. Would definitely recommend this place. We had a great time making memories with our kids!
