Glow House Terlingua Texas

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. We have worked extremely hard to make your stay feel like home! We are surrounded by the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert, amazing views all around, and the most phenomenal views of the night sky!
We are located 20 minutes from the Ghost Town, & just 30 minutes from the Entrance to Big Bend National Park!
The space
*Up to 4 guests. 2 Adults and 2 Children! We have a Queen Bed & a Full Size Floor Mattress that you can pull out to use. Please use your best judgment!
*Glow House is 100% Off-Grid. We provided electricity through Solar Power! We have everything running from the solar power including the refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, stove, lights & even the ceiling fan!
-Please note: Do not turn on everything at once. Solar power does run out!
*We have provided kitchen utensils along with pots/pans/dishes!
-Our countertop is a Butcher Block, and we do ask that you do NOT cut on it! Please do not set anything wet on it for an extended period! We do provide a cutting board!
*We have running water as well! Indoor toilet, shower, & sinks!
We do ask that you conserve water as much as possible.
**Wi-Fi available. We also get signal if you walk about 15 feet in front of the container, also On Top of the Container!!

*Access to a pool (pay $8.50 per person per day at front desk), washer/dryer (coin operated), a full-service bathroom with showers ($2 per person payable at Terlingua Ranch Lodge Office If you would like a shower after the pool!), & a great restaurant at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge. The Lodge is roughly a 16-mile drive east on Terlingua Ranch Road.
* Millions of stars
* Wildlife including but not limited to... roadrunners, jackrabbits, variety of lizards, coyotes, javelina, prairie dogs & kangaroo mice.
* Incredible beauty. The Glow House sits on 5 acres & is surrounded by mountains with 9 Point Mesa to the north, Jack Eden Mesa to the east, the Corazones Peak to the south, & Camel’s Hump to the west. Watch unforgettable sunrises & sunsets every day.
Other things to note
*We are very remote in Terlingua, once you leave the city of Alpine, you will no longer have service. It is extremely important that you screen shot or write down your directions before you leave!
*You MUST BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER!
*Although a 4WD is not 100% necessary, during our rainy seasons it is Highly recommended you drive one.

Pas de dĂ©barbouillette et de linge Ă  vaisselle. Pas de literie pour le lit d’appoint. L’emplacement est parfait. TrĂšs jolie et calme.

The house was beautiful and the location close to the state and national parks but unfortunately the solar power and generator did not function properly and thus we had 3 nights without any electricity, water or WiFi service. The host and house manager were responsive but nothing they could do. It was not pleasant at all.

This was such a cute and unique rental! It was perfect for my husband and I to enjoy the area. I will say I would not have booked it if the location was accurate. I know it's because of no service and difficult. When I was booking and the maps gives you a general area... this was almost 30 minutes north. Its worth bringing up because a lot of other rentals in the area do have the correct general location. I purposefully did not select one of those and ended up in the same area.

Great place near Big Bend

This house has all the amenities of home while being off the grid. Everything was great. The WiFi, water, electricity all were great. House was easy to find just make sure you put the address or coordinates in before you lose cell signal. Area is secluded and very quiet. It was the quietest place we had ever been. You literally could not hear anything outside. It was really cool. House isn’t far from Terlingua and big bend. Only 20-30 mins maybe. I would come back and stay there again.

A great get away with perfect views.

This property is a beautiful and peaceful getaway, perfect for escaping the city and enjoying the star-filled night sky. The container home itself was clean and well-maintained, with a great rooftop deck for taking in the surroundings. While we appreciated the peaceful setting, there was an issue with the septic system that caused a persistent odor throughout our stay. The host was quick to respond when we reported the problem, but the problem could not be fixed during our visit. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing issue, we ultimately decided to cut our trip short. Would come again in the future.

Glowhouse getaway

Had a great time in this quaint getaway house. Everything is provided there for you. You just gotta bring your own eats and drinks. Host was very helpful with directions and responses to questions. Will definitely keep this place on my list to revisit.
