PerchĂ© au-dessus de la vallĂ©e de la Caroline, au cƓur de la forĂȘt de Bordeaux, un cottage charmant et romantique surplombe les eaux turquoises des CaraĂŻbes du canal Sir Francis Drake.

Créé pour votre plaisir, vos vacances à deux,
Sea Cottage est un paradis privé.

À seulement 10 minutes en voiture des plages de renommĂ©e mondiale de la CĂŽte-Nord et Ă  moins de 15 minutes des commerces et des restaurants de la magnifique baie de Corail ou du quai des ferries Ă  Cruz Bay, le chalet peut ĂȘtre atteint par le biais du Mont Bordeaux pavĂ© et plat. Route qui serpente Ă  travers la forĂȘt de rhum de la baie luxuriante et parfumĂ©e.

Pour ceux qui souhaitent profiter de St. Jean à pied, le Mont Bordeaux. Le début du sentier dans le parc national de Virgin Island n'est qu'à une courte randonnée menant à la magnifique baie de Lameshur sur le cÎté sud de l'ßle ainsi qu'à d'autres sentiers du parc.

Sea Cottage est un studio autonome - un plan d'étage ouvert avec des plafonds voûtés aérés, un enveloppement spacieux autour d'une terrasse couverte, un lit queen, une douche de jardin, une cuisine entiÚrement équipée, un lecteur DVD et une station d'accueil audio de pointe. Décoré avec de belles piÚces réalisées par des artistes locaux, cette escapade privée est accessible par une descente confortable à travers un jardin tropical. Il est amplement refroidi par des ventilateurs de plafond et des brises de vent, il n'y a donc jamais besoin de climatisation.

Que vous vous prĂ©lassiez dans le hamac ou admiriez un lever ou un lever de lune sur les Ăźles Vierges britanniques, vous serez entourĂ© par les bruits de la forĂȘt et fascinĂ© par une vue inoubliable.

Staying at the Cottage was like living in a treehouse, perched on the edge of a mountain overlooking Coral Bay. Completely private surroundings, lovely decks and everything provided for a relaxing day at the beach. It was the perfect size for two people. Lots of books provided to learn about the nearby beaches and hiking trails. The owners were always quick to respond with any questions. Highly Recommended.

Perfect Quiet Respite

Loved our stay here from the moment that Monika met us on Centerville Road to drive into the cottage. Great view from the porch. Supplied with everything we needed including a grill so that we could make our own meals. Had answers for all of our questions during our stay.

A slice of heaven

We loved this secluded, clean, cozy bungalow! Easy in and out, close to the beaches we love but private and quiet. Monika and Jorge were excellent hosts, right there to greet us, very attentive to our needs. The villa had everything we needed from a very functional kitchen, unbelievably beautiful views, beach toys, to a great bookshelf! We look forward to coming back!

Wonderful Cottage

My wife and Ioved Sea Cottage. It has a beautiful view of Coral Bay and beyond, in an incredibly peaceful jungle setting. The hosts are wonderful and extremely responsive. Like most places on St John, having a 4wd vehicle is a "must." We would 100% stay at Sea Cottage again and would recommend it to any couple looking for a place to stay on St John.

Amazing getaway

We had a wonderful time at this gem of a cottage - private, breathtaking view, clean, all the amenities we needed and more! We loved sitting in the hammock, listening to and watching the birds, using the outdoor shower, cooking, and perusing the many books. Hidden gem on the hillside

The cottage was clean and bright, with everything we needed and space for everything brought. We enjoy quiet and privacy, and this is perfect for that kind of retreat: it’s secluded in the lush east-facing slopes of the mountain, with stunning sunrises and constant mountain breezes. Everything is well-constructed and well thought-out. We booked our trip for next year before we even checked out!

Incredible views

This property is about 22 minutes from the main town and 13 minutes from the other small town. A little off the beaten path but 100% worth it! 15 minutes from some of the most incredible beaches and minutes away from trails. The cottage is even better than the pictures look and the sunrises are something you’ll remember for a lifetime. Staying here was an incredible experience and the hosts were responsive and happy to offer their knowledge of the island which led to some crazy snorkeling experiences! Hope to come back one day!

Beautiful and secluded cottage retreat

Everything about the property was wonderful and far exceed our expectations! Do not fear no AC because the location is shaded, and the layout of the cottage is perfect for cross breezes that the temperature was perfect the entire time. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful views to wake up to, and although we didn’t use the kitchen much, it had everything one would need. Walking up or down the lighted path to the cottage at night was magical, especially amongst all the trees and plants. The island is gorgeous and the cottage is a special gem tucked away that adds to the charm!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Sea Cottage! Our stay was a week long but it felt like we were there a month. Next time we visit STJ we will stay here again. Its safe, quiet(except for the frogs), relaxing and has everything you need! Skip the rental car on STT and just get a Jeep on STJ. You will pay a few extra dollars but having an SUV on STJ is very helpful. Additionally if you ever get a flat or break down the rental companies can get to you much quicker. Thank you Jorge and Monika!

Small piece of paradise.

My husband and I stayed here for a week the end of August/beginning of September for a week and fell in love. This is such a quaint little cottage but perfect for everything we needed it to be. We spent most evenings on the porch looking at the water, playing cards or reading. This was such a romantic and fun vacation and the Sea Cottage will always hold a place in our hearts. The fan provided was a God send for me, I'm not one for heat and was a little nervous since I would be without my beloved AC, but I slept wonderfully all week. We cannot recommend Sea Cottage more, you will fall in love with this home and it's owners - who are the perfect hosts.

Perfect Island Paradise!

We had hoped to find a private location on the island for our trip to St. John and we found it at the Sea Cottage. The hosts Monika and Jorge were extremely kind and helpful during our stay. They are close by but because of the forest you don't even know that they are there. The view from the porch was awesome and a great place to sit and relax with a morning cup of tea. The sounds at night from the tree frogs and other nighttime creatures made us feel very close to nature and very enjoyable while falling asleep. I would not hesitate to stay at Sea Cottage again. I am very glad to have found this beautiful oasis. It was a great place to spend a week away from our hectic lives.

Great View, Flowers, and Birds

We loved the view, flowers, birds, and night sounds at the Sea Cottage. It's a small cottage that sits high up on the mountainside overlooking Coral Bay, Tortola, and the Sir Francis Drake Channel. It is great for two people that love nature (which we certainly do). It has a great deck and a really nice outdoor shower, plus a good collection of St. John books and art. The cottage is well equipped and provides a great base for exploring St. John. We loved coming back to it, sitting on the deck, cooking a meal, watching the birds, and listening to the tree frogs and other night sounds of the island. Monika and Jorge were very helpful. We'd hope to come back for another stay in the future.

Wonderful escape

This cottage is a wonderful escape from the world. It is tucked into a steep hillside in the Bordeaux neighborhood overlooking Coral Bay and has complete privacy. A four-wheel drive car is definitely required and their are many steps down the hill but it is worth it. The frogs sing you to sleep and the birds sing through the day. We didn't get to meet Jorge but Monika was a fantastic host. She was very responsive to questions and an overall gentle nice person. We will come again without hesitation if we come back to St John.

Slice of heaven

If you're looking for an escape from reality in a place that provides peace, tranquility, beautiful views and total privacy, this is the place for you. This was our second trip to St. John, and we decided to stay on the Coral Bay side this time...I'm so glad we did. Jorge and Monika's place is perched on top of the hillside overlooking the Bay....it was the perfect place to start and end our days. We fell asleep to the sound of tree frogs and woke up every morning with the sun peering in ready to start our day. I would return to this cottage on every trip to St. John moving forward. It is pure paradise. Book it....you won't be disappointed!

Amazing Vacation!

Wow! Sea Cottage was the perfect home away from home during our stay in St.John. Monika met us upon arrival and shared so many valuable details about not only the cottage but also about the island and all the beauty it has to offer. Using the map Monika shared, we were able to appreciate so many spectacular beaches and trails. We truly appreciated the stunning views from the porch and the sounds of nature especially at night! Watching the sugar birds & hummingbirds every morning while having coffee was a delight. The cottage was sparkling clean, the bed so comfortable, and the outdoor shower something I wish I could have back home in MA! We will forever treasure our time spent at Sea Cottage! Perfect place to recenter and recharge

After a stressful year, I was in need of an escape to my favorite place on earth to recenter and recharge. Monika was very responsive and helpful from the planning stage all the way through the stay. An awesome host! The villa is in a great location, up on hwy 108. A steep, but short drive to Coral Bay side, and also close to North Shore beaches. I am a very active traveler and spent almost every morning hiking and then the remainder of the day snorkeling. The cottage was a perfect place for me to relax after long days of exploring. The wrap around porch with the beautiful views out over Coral Bay and Hurricane hole during the day, and the perfect spot for stargazing at night quickly became my favorite place to unwind. In fact, I loved it so much that I slept in the large, comfortable hammock all but 2 of my 20 nights! Cooling trade winds kept the property nice and comfortable, so no need for AC. I even had to wear a sweatshirt a couple nights. The private outdoor shower was another favorite spot. Other highlights were the daily visits on the porch from bananaquits and hummingbirds and just being surrounded by all the sounds of nature. The Sea Cottage and a few weeks in St John were exactly what I needed after such a crazy year. I have been home a little over a week and am already longing to be back.

Great cabin, everything works, great responsive hosts, cool views, less than 15 minutes from Francis Bay, but must rent a Jeep for 100m of really butchered road.

Private natural setting with a wonderful view

This cottage is surrounded by tropical foliage. After a day of snorkeling, we spent most evenings relaxing on the porch munching on a light dinner will pulled together in the full kitchen. We used the beach towels and cooler thoughtfully provided.

Beautiful and Private Cottage

Sea Cottage was exactly as promised in the listing! Monika and Jorge are amazing hosts! We booked the cottage very last minute due to Hurricane Elsa which changed our original plans, and we were not disappointed. We were actually grateful to be able to return to our home away from home. The Bordeaux Mtn location is very private and allows for gorgeous views of Coral Bay, Hurricane Hole, Tortola and Virgin Gorda! We found the sounds of nature at night to be very relaxing. The cottage’s outdoor shower is refreshing and wonderful! And as others have mentioned, AC is not needed. The drive isn’t as treacherous as many we’ve traveled in St. John. Monika was always available via text and even offered to drive us when we were initially unable to rent a vehicle on St. John. (We rectified that issue the 2nd day we were there.) Our rental vehicle had a flat tire the morning we were departing, and Jorge came to the rescue! We cannot say enough positive things about Monika, Jorge and the cottage, and we would definitely rent Sea Cottage again if it were available for our dates. Thank you so very much for a recharging, decompressing and delightful week!

From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to St. John, we have always loved being near the ocean and outdoors. Over a period of 13 years we were lured here by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, the trade wind breezes and the Virgin Islands National Park , mountains and valleys. Finally we decided we wanted to live on this little island and share it with family, friends and like minded souls. Bordeaux Mt., the highest point of the island with its incomparable views of the British Virgin Islands and the Sir Francis Drake Channel, located right in the center of the island, seemed like the perfect place. After three years on the island we began to build our dream cottage. Every step was a reason for celebration and every detail a delicious exercise in creativity. We wanted to make a little private paradise for two. Many of the pieces decorating the house are crafted by local artists and make the cottage a special place.

Easily accessed by a mostly paved and relatively flat road that winds through the rain forest, Bordeaux offers privacy, peace and spectacular moon rises or sunrises. At night the singing forest and gentle breezes make it a one of a kind retreat. From it you can hike the extensive trail network of the Park all the way down to some of it's most beautiful beaches. Both Cruz Bay and Coral Bay with its locally owned and operated shops and restaurants are only 10 to 15 minutes away by car. There are many perfect days that start and end at Sea Cottage. First a quiet yoga practice at sunrise on the covered porch. For a good workout nothing better than an early morning hike down Bordeaux Mt. Trail to the white sandy Little Lameshur Beach, followed by a swim and snorkel around Europa Point. For the more water activity minded, Maho Beach with it's water sport rental options by Reef2Peak is just a short 10 minute drive away. And those who just wish to relax and soak in the sun can follow the North Shore road to any one of its spectacular beaches.

Vacation for us is about sharing in each other's company and enjoying nature. It is time to distance ourselves from the bustle of the world - to have time to listen to music, watch a movie together or have a moonlit dinner on the porch without the distractions of modern communication. During the day there is so much to do just a short distance away whether on foot or by car. Sea Cottage is the ideal place to wake up in and to end the day - the fragrance of the bay rum trees after a summer sprinkle; the singing of the birds during daytime and the sounds of the forest at night; swinging in the hammock while watching the moon rise over Virgin Gorda. It's a place to fall in love all over again.
