The construction was not divulged until after the room was booked. It made checking in confusing. Better signage? The room is 10 ft from view from pool, so had to close curtains a lot to feel privacy. Appreciated the fan as it was very hot and there is no ac. Overall, room comfortable, clean, and has everything you need.
Great location, ski in and out…we snowboard, so was on a hill and easy to get down to the lift or gondola. The hot tubs and pool are right off the balcony, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Will be staying here again for sure! Also just a short walk to the free bus to other mountains and also downtown Aspen. They will also pick you up and take you back to the airport! Win/win
...maybe a little dated. Not that this is a problem. Square footage is a bit pinched, but then, who's going to spend significant time indoors? Stove top is significantly tinier than the galley on a 32-foot sailboat, but so what? Of more concern, power outlets are far from the head of the bed, so if you want to plug in a CPAP device or your iPhone, it's a real stretch. And speaking of the bed, it's scrunched into a constricted slot allowing guests barely allowance to get into bed. Obviously, this is an investment property; no true owner is going to spend any time here. But for a short-time visitor, well, it's just right. We'd go back... But be aware of the compromises entailed in securing this property.
The studio apartment itself was kept clean, however, it was very outdated. They tried to update with a beam ceiling and some granite in the small wet bar "kitchen". No oven, no A/C, no dishwasher, and no one came by for light housekeeping. The bed was so soft, it was like sleeping on marshmallows. Both of our backs were sore in the morning :(
The person upstairs also decided to have a party around 9:30-10pm which went on for about 3 hrs. The rafters were shaking so we didn't get any sleep while that was going on. One of the pitfalls of condo/apt life.
There is no elevator so bring light luggage. Front desk people were very nice and friendly. Place needs a good makeover, but is close enough to Aspen for a beautiful escape.
First time in Aspen Snowmass, and it is such a gorgeous area - skiing, hiking, shopping, and a free Tesla supercharger just down the road was very convenient. I can't believe what a great price I got for this area (but then it is the off season). I loved the room, and when I asked to stay an extra night the owner Mary was responsive and let me extend my stay. Clean hotel, quiet, and right next to the ski lift.
The property and building are excellent and are a short walk away from the restaurants and shopping in Snowmass Village. The staff was very friendly and the hot tub and pool were right outside the building. Parking was very accessible. I loved the property and will stay there again if I need to!
This condo is professionally managed by the Timberline Condominiums Association. The front desk staff will greet you upon arrival and check you in. They will be your main contact during your stay. Bell staff is available to pick you up from the Aspen/Snowmass Airport and take you around the Village. Limited housekeeping is included. Parking is available across the road for $18 per day in the winter (Thanksgiving - Snowmass Mountain Closing Day) and it is free during summer. The Edge Restaurant and Bar is on-site during peak season for dinner.
