Welcome to the Hawk's Nest - 4 Season Cottage

Beautiful lake house with private sandy beach
The space
Built in 2016 our waterfront lake house offers a modern feel in a country setting.

The open concept and high ceilings allows plenty of natural light for a warm and cozy feeling.

Main level offers the kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom 1, bathroom 1, closet with laundry machine and dryer.

Second level offers bedroom 2, bedroom 3, bathroom 2.

The kitchen has a full sized fridge, propane stove and oven, microwave, toaster, keurig, outdoor BBQ and everything needed to prepare and enjoy your meals. (NO DISHWASHER)

The dining area has a table with 6 chairs and 4 bar stools for the counter

The living room offers 1 couch, 1 loveseat and a bird cage chair surrounding a beautiful propane fireplace with a big screen TV and satellite

Bathroom 1 - full piece bathroom with toilet, vanity, bath tub/shower
Bedroom 1 - king size bed, full closet, dresser, night table

Upper floor
Bathroom 2 - full piece bathroom with toilet, vanity, bath tub/shower

Outside - you will find a large treed yard, several parking spots, 2 campfire pits (rear yard and on the beach), plastic Adirondack chairs, and a short walk down to a large grass area and private sandy beach with shallow sandy waters.

Lovely property - house is great for a group! Clean on arrival, kind and considerate host with fabulous communication. Very well stocked kitchen for those who like to cook, with grills on site. Host kindly also provided additional water just in case we didn't like the taste of the well - above and beyond! I was particularly impressed by how engaged the host was from the get-go, and very attentive during the stay. Fantastic waterfront with kayaks available for use too!

Great Property and Host

We really enjoyed our stay at Stephen's property. We stayed for about a month and Stephen was very attentive and accommodating. His property is beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing Girls Weekend

Wonderful home, very clean, comfy beds and everything you need for a great stay. Although the weather was rainy we still enjoyed relaxing in the house, visiting the beach and walking the area. We were treated to a double rainbow, beautiful deer and nesting turtles. Great communication with Stephan. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful property. Small private beach. Clean & fully stocked. Just bring your food & drinks. Comfortable beds. Loved the cozy Sunroom. Good drinkable water. Friendly Chipmunks & Bunnies. Would return again.

What a find!

My five golf buddies and I, on our annual “Up the Valley” golf trip, used the Hawk’s Nest as our home base for exploring the local golf courses. What a great find this place was! Spacious, beautifully appointed, with many modern conveniences, Hawk’s Nest was perfect for our needs. Centrally located to all of the local golf courses, we spent minimal time on the road and maximized our golfing experience. Great day! We’ll be back!

Charming Cottage

We decided to take a little getaway from the city over Christmas and found this beautiful, private cottage in a peaceful, lovely setting. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We didn’t have to pack any blankets etc. which was a relief, as there are always so many other things to bring. This place is beautifully maintained and cared for. It’s tastefully decorated and has a warm, cozy vibe. The host could be easily reached for any questions and made sure we had all the information we needed. I would highly recommend this spot!

The cottage was comfortable, homey and very well maintained with everything you would need to round out a perfect stay. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials needed for preparing meals. There were two barbeques and two tables provided for outdoor dining.The cottage sits on a beautiful piece of property surrounded by trees and a great area with access to the Ottawa River. A very quiet and relaxing location. There are two fire pits on the property with lots of seating provided. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit by the river. There are lots of water toys provided including Kayak’s, a paddle boat, etc. We had great weather the week we were there so spent a lot of time by and in the water.Steve was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to all my inquiries. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a relaxing get away and hope to return some day.Stayed 7 nights in September 2025

Chilling in the Hawk's Nest

A great place to hang out, catch up, and relax. The house was clean, organized and to my pleasant surprise well stocked with meal-related things like some spices, foil, ziplocks, etc. The beach is great, nice sand bottom and a very gentle slope (15m out & maybe 1m deep) and painted turtles sunning themselves on logs nearby. The house is separated by a laneway from the beach and this was not an issue at all. A very quiet and relaxing location. I would rent the Hawk's Nest again in a heartbeat! P.S. The owner interaction was excellent.
