Spectacular Oceanfront Living in Authentic Fishing Village

the most photographed view in Lunenburg County,this property is very close to home and absolutely wonderful to visit.The sounds of the fishing boats and gulls swirling in the air, the quiet evenings and spaciousness of the interior were major motivators in the purchasing of this property. At first it seemed daunting. Originally the site of a small 'fishstore'(that is a hut on the water that fishermen stored nets and made bouys/floats etc during the cold winter days) it was added on to over the years and used as a small fishplant before our acquisition The large apartment was built before we purchased and we added the second apartment a year later. We recognize that it is difficult for large groups to find accommodations suitable for families, etc and thought that this would be a good place for that. It is large and therefore everyone can find a space of their own. Although...........most people park in the sunroom and spend hours looking out at the cove.

A lot of travellers like a home base to return to after their day away. This is that place.Just about everything to see in Southshore NS is within 45 min.travel and there is nothing more scenic than our view.You can stroll over to the Gov't dock and watch the fishermen bring in their catch or just ask our neighbors of the availability for fresh fish for supper. We have a lobster pot and boiler for lobster boils and a bar b que for hanging on the deck. There is a beautiful beach 4 miles away that is super for children and also a picnic beach just a mile away in Southwest Cove. We have good friends who run an adventure tourism business and they will bring kayaks to our dock if you wish to rent. There is a yoga loft 2 miles away with drop in classes nearly every day. There is a great little market Sat mornings in Hubbards and a great cafe 'The Trellis' where you can relax and eat some good food.Golf at Chester, a quick 30 min. drive offers some of the most spectacular ocean scenery you have ever seen at a golf course and there is a couple pubs and shops there as well.As we live so close by we are always ready to take care of our guest's requests. We have life jackets for the kids safety on the docks and if you can brave the temperatures can swim right off the dock.I'd never want to leave if I was vacationing here. It truly is a place to unwind and relax.
