Il est situé dans les montagnes à moins de 1 heure de Denver, Boulder, et Rocky Mountain National Park donc il y a beaucoup des excursions à prendre dans toutes les directions! We loved our stay at Kristen's place on Thorn Lake! It was absolutely lovely to spend each morning relaxing on the deck that overlooked the lake, and then to spend the afternoon hiking the trails at Golden Gate Canyon State Park which was practically next door. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed the location of the property. It was very peaceful—really enjoyed mornings and evenings in the deck. One of the best stocked with amenities we’ve ever stayed — towels, kitchen items, clean deck furniture. Would love to stay again in the fall. The host was very responsive to communications. I reserved this place for my elderly dad, daughter & 12 yr old nephew. Everyone absolutely loved it there. The views, the moose, the fishing. It was all a huge hit! Place had everything that they needed.

This is a beautiful get-away! The porch sitting at the lake's edge is wonderful and set up well with a grill and many chairs and tables. The area is so quiet and relaxing. The host is very communicative and helpful! She offered multiple suggestions for places to eat in the area. The kitchen was appointed fully with appliances, tools, etc. We spent two comfortable days and nights here - we highly recommend this VRBO!

This was a wonderful vacation for a family wedding and reunion where we all met and stayed at different parts of Blackhawk. The view from this location was absolutely stunning of the mountains and lake horn. I highly recommend it.

Kristine was a very gracious host who went above and beyond to help us with things to do in the area. Communication was prompt and very friendly. They were a friendly and lovely couple. The house and location are outstanding. The views are much better than the pictures describe. If you want some peace and quiet on a beautiful lake with close proximity to Nederland and Peak to Peak then this is your place.

Very Peaceful Getaway

Beautiful location with great views. The property is a little dated but well cared for and well equipped. If you are looking to be a bit off the beaten path and enjoy short jaunts to the various parks then this is a great spot for you. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay & had a great time exploring the area (hiking, fishing, & kayaking)! The views from the deck are amazing & we really enjoyed hanging out there together! The cabin was very comfortable & clean and we were able to make most of our meals there. The kitchen is well equipped!

Visit to Colorado School of Mines

My second time to stay at this gorgeous cabin. Only 16 miles from Golden, through the State Park so windy roads take a bit longer but the views are amazing. Very relaxing place to unwind.

Beautiful cabin with a picture-perfect view of a lake and the mountains

We stayed for two nights when the aspen had turned to gold. We enjoyed very much the panoramic view from the sitting room and deck of the lake with the mountains and trees...made perfect by a visit to the lake by a bull moose in the morning to bid us goodbye. The house had everything we required - highly recommended!

A peaceful and magical spot

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were looking to just get away from the city and be immersed in nature and that is exactly what we got here. The lake brings within viewing distance all kinds of animals. So many hummingbirds, dragonflies, bunnies and chipmunks, and we also saw a few moose across the lake! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a recharge with natures surroundings.
