Lake Effect is a modern Lakefront home on beautiful Norris Lake. This vacation home offers many amenities including a large lake front dock, hot tub, pool table and fire pit. There is also a gentle slope to the lake, No Steps!! Or you can use the graveled driveway that takes you right to the dock. Not too many homes on Norris Lake have such easy access to the lake. This is our home away from home and if you decide to stay at Lake Effect, we hope you love it as much as we do.

Three families. Great stay. Private cove was fantastic. Well stocked home. Communication with owners fantastic. Quiet part of the lake.

Beautiful House

We had a great time during our short stay. The house is beautiful and fully stocked with anything you could need to cook, games, hot tub and even water toys. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

Great place to stay on the quiet side of the lake

We had a wonderful time celebrating a 50th birthday and a summer lake weekend tradition. Lake Effect was the perfect house for our group of 14! We would stay again!

Nice House in Tazwell area

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was very well furnished with pretty much everything you might need. The backyard slope to the dock was nice instead of all steps. We especially enjoyed the great skiing water so close to the house.

Peaceful on the lake

Very nice home very spacious and well furnished. Great back porch for quite evenings grilling. But plenty big enough for large families. Quick ride to Cumberland Gap Park. Nice dock would be a great spot for fishing, family reunions or in our case just a quite get away to get some hiking in

Beautiful lake home! Perfect family vacation!

Beautiful lake home! It was private and remote! Takes 30 minutes to get to the closest grocery store! Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals! We absolutely loved kayaking on the lake, cooking s’mores over the fire pit and soaking in the large hot tub! Our family of 5 stayed here for a peaceful fall break get away! We also toured LMU for our high schoolers and enjoyed exploring the Cumberland Gap National Park and Middlesboro, KY which were only 55minutes away!

We did a family vacation and everything from the communication with the owners when booking to walking out the door after vacation was seamless. The owners promptly answered any questions we had and gave great suggestions of restaurants, groceries etc. before our stay. We had a party of 12 and the space had a great lay out the kids had a little area to play and be away from all of the adults but the common areas were spacious enough for all of us to gather comfortably. The house itself was clean and very accommodating they have stocked it with all of the cooking essentials nicely! We stayed at the house most of our trip so cooking and eating meals were done there at the house and it was lovely. It’s a beautiful house on a gorgeous lake couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend!!

Great place to stay!

We’ve been vacationing at Norris lake for years and have never stayed on this side of the lake until this trip. We absolutely loved it! Soooo quiet. The house was great too, very clean and top of the line amenities. The only complaint we had was the community boat dock we were told we could use in the instructions was locked down so visitors couldn’t use it. We had to drive 20 minutes back to the next closest boat ramp. I’d highly recommend launching a boat at Norris lake marina before going to the property.

Great house for a group

We just got back from a great stay! House is big and perfect for a big group! Plenary of space to sleep, eat, play games! The fire pit is huge as well! The hot tub was great as well! Kitchen had everything you could need to feed a crowd, grill and outdoor griddle was also great! Walk to the lake was easy! I imagine when the weather is nice and the lake is high the location on the lake would be great! Beds were so comfortable! My kids loved the blue tooth shower, and the bunk room! If you rent this house you will not be disappointed! We hope to be back one day!

Best Lake Cabin Ever

All around home run. Place is awesome. Nestled way back in the woods with no traffic. Accessible dock. Close to Norris Landing Marina. Layout of house is absolutely awesome for groups. Plenty of room, bathrooms, space and things to do. Owner supplies free ice and firewood, little else to do but unpack and start enjoying. Highly recommend and worth the price.

Family Getaway

Our family vacation to this beautiful home was absolutely amazing! The home is as pictured and the view from the dock is breathtaking! We enjoyed every amenity even down to the coffee maker. We ran into minor issues during our stay, but Fred is amazing and was able to get the issue resolved. I am HUGE on customer service but he surpassed our expectations. Thank you once more for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
