We loved this cozy, beautiful place. It has everything you could want - dishes and utensils, a 2-burner stove and microwave, nicely decorated, incredible view of the river. Don't be intimidated by the driveway, it's not too steep and the turnaround system for your car is like a fun disneyland ride!

We had a wonderfully peaceful weekend here in Albion. A beautiful view of the Albion river from the balcony. The host is very responsive and helpful. We had to do a late check in and there was no problem at all. We look forward to our next chance to visit.

Ann was a thoughtful and friendly host, the apartment is immaculate and charming and the location peaceful and scenic. Loved our stay and would plan to book again.

Ann’s place is fantastic, just as advertised and the view is even better in person. Communication was easy, Ann gave us a number of good tips for local food and entertainment too. Highly recommend, perfect for a romantic getaway.

Honeymoon

We were honeymooners and stayed over the holiday weekend. The studio was as advertised and perfect for a two day getaway adventure. We enjoyed our stay on the coast and were especially grateful for Ann’s hospitality.

The hostess is excellent! The property is clean. Do NOT bring a large car or truck. The driveway is steep and it is difficult to navigate especially if you are alone. The hostess does make up for it but if you arrive late it will be a bit tough. The kitchen is not made for cooking but there is ample space for food for 1-2 people if all you need is a microwave. The bed is comfortable. Wifi enables cellular use which would be otherwise spotty. It is incredibly quiet with occasional visits from hummingbirds.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. I agree that the driveway is best for a standard size car so that one can use the turntable. In the listing is a description that even gives the maximum length of the axel to axel and a photo of a car on the turntable. Some large SUVs are okay. I have had some trucks but only with experienced drivers willing and able to back down a steep curved driveway!! There is a place for street parking if the driveway is too difficult about 50' down the lane.

Relaxing Retreat in Albion

Had a lovely two day stay at this property. Great for accessing the coast especially Mendocino to Fort Bragg. The property sits high above the river and we enjoyed dining on the porch watching birds and seals swimming up and down the river. Host was very timely in responding to questions.

I hope you enjoyed yourself............I am guessing you had other friends in the area! The weather certainly was perfect. and the turntable is fine. Very fussy. I think Brady (an actor here for the next play in Mendocino) must have been just a little off center.

Came up to the area to attend my Nephews wedding day. Found the Mendocino Hideaway. It worked out great. Had everything I needed and more. Close to the venue and nicely appointed. Comfortable an d quiet. I would stay there again.

Such a gem!

I wanted to visit Mendocino with my partner, I planned a surprise weekend getaway and I found this gem! It’s just outside of Mendocino so all the trails were only 10-15 minutes away. The property was the perfect size. It was cozy and clean and exactly what I was looking for. Ann was the sweetest! She made us feel at home, offered to use her larger kitchen for some steaks I wanted to cook the first night. There was a small fridge and freezer that was perfect for the snacks and wine we brought along for our trip. I will definitely be booking with Ann again when we are back in the area. :)

We enjoyed a lovely stay there. Once we figured out the directions and parking turn around( host very helpful), we did fine with entry, exit. Made good use of host’s hiking guide. Room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.!
