Respirez profondément, une cabine confortable d'Austin

REMARQUE: du 22/12/18 au 31/12/18, l'hÎte sera hors du pays. Toutes les demandes de réservation seront traitées le 1/1/19.
Un jet de pierre au sud des limites de la ville d'Austin, cette cabine est située dans 2,5 hectares boisés. Bien que n'étant pas dans la classe d'un bnb, il est confortable, privé et calme. La terre est habitée par des cerfs, des ratons laveurs, des renards, des hiboux, des lézards et des papillons. Il y a une vieille pierre bien remplie par un aquifÚre (la légende dit que le puits a été construit par Ben McCullough; le héros de la guerre civile). Une grande cour arriÚre est utilisée pour les promenades, les feux de joie et les balles de golf / frappeur. Détendez-vous sous le soleil pommelé sur la terrasse prÚs d'un étang en cours d'exécution entouré de jardins. Préparez un bar-b-que tranquillement. Parlez tard dans la nuit prÚs du foyer.

Cette cabane de plus de 100 ans a Ă©tĂ© ravivĂ©e et meublĂ©e avec amour. Le temps semble s'arrĂȘter en trempant dans le vieux bain de griffes profond rempli d'eau de source chaude sans fin. DĂ©rivant pour dormir, prenez conscience des crĂ©pitements dans le poĂȘle Ă  bois, un sifflet de train et l'Ă©tang ruisselant. Les choix de petit-dĂ©jeuner sont des tacos de rue ou des pacanes?

Il est possible que vous soyez tentĂ© de rester toute la journĂ©e. Cependant, le centre d'Austin ou de San Marcos, avec de la musique, de la natation, de la pĂȘche et du kayak, n'est qu'Ă  15-25 minutes de cette retraite. (Circuit des AmĂ©riques est de 18 miles Ă  travers les routes de campagne.)

Five stars all around. This little cabin is such a hidden gem—you’d never know you were in the middle of Austin. It was quiet, calm, and exactly what I needed after a busy workday. Perfect for a short overnight stay, clean and comfortable, with a super welcoming host who made everything easy. I’m really grateful for the peaceful reset and would absolutely stay again.

Terrfic location, located minutes from I-35. It feels, though, as you are staying on your own private getaway. The patio is good for an early morning cup of coffee. The ducks are curious. The pool is warm and cozy, perfect for dips early in the morning or late at night.

Brilliant spot for a unique visit. No live laugh love signs here! Creative and beautiful decor, great outdoor hang out areas, kind and genuine host. Very close to Austin. Cotton sheets in a comfy bed. Very easy check-in.

A sanctuary outside the city!

What a delightful space! The cabin is a cute and self contained room that has everything you need. The property was an absolute dream and the salt water spa was extra dreamy during a cloudy evening sunset. Host(s) were super warm and welcoming and even showed me around some great spots in town! 10/10 recommend if you need to unwind and reset.

Gem of a place

what a wonderful stay a restful retreat beautiful surroundings and a wonderful host. Highly recommend this place. Me and my best friend came there to stay close to a show and had so much fun. Loved the ducks and was able to do a little bit of artwork on the patio. Will definitely come back.

Tranquil relaxing cozy cabin vibes

My spouse and I loved this place! We were greeted and felt welcomed by Tamara upon arrival. She was super friendly,helpful,accommodating and you a lot about the area to help us find places to eat hang out and visit. We found that the cabin was cozy relaxing and comfortable and there was everything that we could need. She had all the things that I enjoy like tea and coffee as well as all the different necessities. The clawfoot tub was really relaxing and we loved the hot tub outside. The hot tub was positioned where you could see the stars which is super magical every romantic. We also loved the patio where you can sit outside and see the birds and enjoy listening to nature sounds while having our breakfast or just relaxing. We also found that it was cool that it was so close to civilization but also felt like it was in the country so you could relax and not feel like you're so close to the city but you actually are. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a cozy relaxing vacation away from the city. Can't recommend it enough! We will come back here.when needed anything

Charming cottage

Coming from the city I love the peaceful nature retreat! Mega hot tub/pool was a nice experience in the evening under the Texas stars. Very fun weekend.

It's never a good sign when you're not sure which cabin on the property is yours. It is an even worse sign when you find the cabin and realize it already has a tenant who has locked you out.

Good stay, a bit misleading

We stayed here with our 2 year old and our dog. We chose this place for location, pet friendly and the land. The property was very beautiful and conveniently located. Communication with our host was very easy and they were responsive. My only feedback with the property would be that we believed there was a private room for sleeping. We were unaware that it was an efficiency so that made it difficult with my toddler. It would be helpful if they updated the photos to show the one bed , and the entire space. There are duplicate photos of the bed with different comforters which you would think were different bedrooms. Only other issue is that I didn’t realize that there would be other dogs on the property. There were 3 other dogs which made us nervous for our dog because she has been attacked before. We would not have brought her with knowing this beforehand. There is no pool, but there is a jacuzzi. Again, overall a nice stay just some misleading information.

Manchaca cabin

Convenient location to Austin attractions in a quiet country setting. Grandkids loved playing in the swim spa/hot tub. Lots of room to walk our dog. It is close to a train track so some train noise.

Our old neighborhood

This was a visit to our old neighborhood and we were not able to spend time at the VRBO. It’s a great location and provided a perfect base of operations. The Tom turkey named Christmas was frisky but not a problem for an old farm boy.

I'm a semi retired pediatric social worker. I grew up around the states and in Southeast Asia. Went to college in Connecticut, Mexico, on World Campus Afloat and finally years later, with lots of gaps for traveling, graduated at the University of Texas in Austin. After my two sons were successfully launched; one's an elite athlete and fireman and the other a pediatric PA, I began renovating the property as a nature preserve and guest house. I have now successfully hosted over a thousand guests and have expanded my exposure in hopes of enjoying an ever growing community of travelers. I love hosting and focus on making sure your travels are as pleasurably memorable as mine have been.

As a child, I always fantasized living in an old wooden home with lots of windows in a picturesque setting; the types often seen in the Grimm's fairy tale pictures. When I was ready to buy, I only looked at one home, one not usually on the market, a home typical of the 30's in Austin but now in a large wooded area just outside the southern city limits. As I walked onto the property my heart knew 'this is a grandmother's home!' and I was sold. Now, I garden endlessly with the goal of attracting birds, butterflies and all the small creatures seeking a haven. After all the traveling, I've found my Grimm Brothers' home and I am eager to share it with others.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I enjoy the fireflies and crickets, late night fires on the patio by the pond, enticing birds and humming birds to nest nearby, and, watching the fawns frolic. A moment later, I can spontaneously leave my retreat to join friends in town to enjoy Austin's great fare and Central Texas's wonderful rivers, all within minutes from my home.
