Get ready to experience a one of kind stay that will take you back in time! This space housed Bob & Betty’s Grocery store starting in 1974, and for 48 years, the store was selling bologna sandwiches and cold pops. Now remodeled into a residential stay, the moment you drive up to the property you will reminisce on the old signs, memorabilia, and pictures covering the walls inside and out. Nestled between two mountains, near Bad Branch Falls, Kingdom Come State Park, and plenty of mountain views! A continental breakfast can be provided at additional cost. We can even have groceries waiting for your arrival. Please bring coins for the pop/ candy machines.

You won’t want to leave!

We loved every min in both their homes. They both were clean and felt like home. We all wanted to extend the trip because we loved it so much. Plus the location was amazing for everything. We can’t wait to stay again. We already have plans to do it again. No better place to stay

Awesome place. Clean and fun. Much exceeding our expectations. Sitting out front in the morning, several locals came over to visit. Only ding is the AM traffic noise on 119. Mufflers must be optional in that community. At least we planned to be up early. Very comfy beds and super clean. I enjoy visiting the area and will book again.

It is a memorable experience staying here, because it is just so darn cute. Make sure to ask the host about stories of growing up there it makes it even more special.

We needed a place to stay to accommodate our family of 6 on our drive from Michigan to Florida. This was a great halfway point. Very clean, fun and eclectic place to stay. Lots of games allowed us to spend time together. Beds were super comfortable! Kim was very communicative and kind. Thank you so much!

So fun!

We are always looking for unique, quirky, fun. This was a great overnight stay for us. Easy and efficient from beginning to end. Great communication and perfect location for exploring Kingdom Come State Park and hiking Bad Branch Falls. The store is so neat and fun. All the signs and memorabilia are wonderful and there are special touches all throughout the building. Decorated so very cute! The beds were comfortable and the store is very well equipped for your needs. There is a filtered water station which was wonderful because the water does have a sulfur smell to it. We throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Will always be back

The owner is an absolute amazing wonderful woman. The place is always an excellent condition. There is always amenities. You feel like you’re at home and for me it brought back some of the most amazing best childhood memories I had with my great grandma and my aunt Martha Lee, who are both passed away now give us 1 million stars. It is absolutely amazing. Definitely put this on your list to do.

This property was the coolest and most unique rental we have ever had. It is so cute! And it was way bigger than we were expecting from the pictures. The two living areas were both very good sized. The kitchen was outstanding. There were probably about 15 or 20 board games that we got great use out of. The owner Kim had even left a variety of snacks for us to enjoy in addition to the vending machine out front. The beds were extremely comfortable. Two different coffee makers were available, along with the coffee. The decor was also extremely inviting and added a lot to the experience. Kim was very welcoming and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Two very definitive thumbs up!

Would definitely stay again.

We only stayed overnight. Everyone slept well and had no complaints about the mattresses. I slept on the pull-out bed and it was just fine. There was a full gallon of drinking water in the fridge which came in handy for coffee the next morning. I believe the place is on well water so there was a slight sulfur smell to the water. We weren't there long enough to cook, but the kitchen is fully equipped. There were even 3 cast iron skillets. I really appreciated the fact that there was no flowery, perfumy, scents from air fresheners or cleaning supplies. My husband is extremely sensitive to artificial smells. They can give me a slight headache, but he's truly allergic. The place was clean and comfortable. The furniture is solid, not worn out in any way. There was only one roll of toilet paper with very little on it. I contacted the owner and the property managers brought some over very quickly. The owner was very communicative and accommodating from start to finish.

Kim was so good to communicate . She has made all efforts to make you feel like you just belong there. We were visiting the area just for my mom and aunt to see where they grew up and it was perfect. Kim’s family has an awesome story of the store. Book it you will love it !
