About this space
Spacious 3 bedroom home located minutes from Whiteface Mountain and only 13 miles from the Olympic Village of Lake Placid. Mountain Biking trails may be accessed just a quarter of a mile up the road which means you can enjoy a day of Mountain Biking without even getting in your vehicle. Home is located in a great location to access all of the 46 high peaks as well as beginner hiking trails. Home is located only minutes away from the AuSable River for a relaxing day of fly fishing.
The space
Welcome to Lawrence's Hideaway located in beautiful Wilmington, NY, home of Whiteface Mountain. This newly renovated home has three spacious bedrooms with tvs included in each as well as dressers and spacious closets. The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful new granite countertops and a well stocked coffee bar for your enjoyment. The living room includes a 55 inch flat screen tv with an electric fireplace to keep you cozy after a day of an Adirondack adventure. The bathroom is stocked with all necessary toiletries and contains a full size bathtub. Washer and Dryer is located in the basement. Also in the basement is a ping pong table.Board games are also available for family fun time.

The place was sweet! Not even a 10 minute drive from Whiteface Mountain which was amazingly convenient for our group snowboarding trip. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up some food. The living room was also very cozy to hang out in after a long day of hitting the slopes. The ping pong table is also a great addition, kept me and my guys occupied lol. Definitely would recommend staying here!

When we arrived we were so delighted to find they had put a Christmas Tree up in the Living Room. What a wonderful surprise as we were visiting our kids and grandbabies to celebrate Christmas. Would stay again. Everything was just great.

I gave our stay at Lawrence's Hideaway a five star rating, the home is very clean and comfortable. The house is set back off the road and is private, the neighborhood was very quiet. One thing I really liked was there was no clutter in the kitchen drawers and cabinets, if you have been to other VRBO's you will know that some homes are full of left over things such as ketchup packets, misc. take out dishes, etc. One draw back to this is there was no aluminum foil or saran wrap so I would suggest you bring some with you. One other small thing, but it was big to me, was there was a brand new wrapped sponge in the kitchen sink for our use, I so appreciated that! I have purchased new sponges in the past for some VRBO's because they looked too used. We usually travel to Lake Placid/Wilmington area at least twice a year and we will definitely rent this house again.

Just what we needed

We travelled to Whiteface and this was the perfect spot for the family to stay. Quick and easy to the mountain and easy to relax after a day on the slopes.

Wilmington ski weekend

Our stay was fantastic! The Lawrence's home was clean, spacious and ideal for skiing at Whiteface. Our kids loved playing ping pong in the basement.

Beautiful home with 3 decent sized bedrooms. Our children enjoyed the game table in the basement. Easy to find, ample parking and conveniently located to many area attractions and restaurants. Perfect

Excellent vacation spot!

We spent a week here and loved every minute! The location is clean, has all you need, and has a wonderful lawn for outdoor activities “at home”. The house is close to many hikes and is a quick drive into Lake Placid to tour the shops. It was the perfect location for our family and we look forward to booking this house again!
