Golf View is a wonderful one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo that sits on the greens of The Grand Traverse Resort. The mid-level Condo sleeps four and is perfect for a small family or golf lovers.

There is a full kitchen, and dining room, newly redecorated living room with a sleeper sofa. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The deck overlooking the golf course is perfect for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine after a round of golf.

Golf View is a great home base if you plan to explore Traverse City and the surrounding area like Elk Rapids or Charlevoix. Turtle Creek Casino is right up the road, and local Ski Resorts are nearby for winter activities. Conveniently located near many local restaurants, public beaches, and shops.

Resort amenities are not included.

No pets are allowed per condo association.

Great Location, Clean Rooms and Quiet

This was a great location to be close to a few activities in the area. The place was clean and had everything I needed for my short stay. It was also very quiet and peaceful.

This property was fine. Very clean, comfortable, and had all the basics. For the price I would have liked to see better deck furniture than plastic Adirondack chairs.

Traverse City Visit

The condo, located on the property of the Grand Traverse Resort, was lovely, perfect for the two of us. Its location was ideal for what we wanted to do. One minor issue - there were no dish towels - so I used a couple wash cloths. 😄 Would definitely stay again.

Very basic but clean. TV and bath fan didn't work

Furnished very inexpensively, but was comfortable. Management was unable to get the TV or bath fan to work over the three days we were there. Otherwise quiet. Stayed for a conference, so didn't spend much time there.

Fulfilled its purpose

Close to Traverse City, which was very convenient. Super dated, and cleanliness was less than desirable. Toilet and shower were not clean, there was hair still on the floor in the bathroom from previous stay. If your looking for a place to drop your clothes and sleep, this will do.

A+ and Perfection

This place was perfection, a solid A+. Recently I stayed in the area at a very forgetable place. This was such a welcome change. I got a call (from an actual person) the day before check-in to review check-in procedures, which is incredible in this day of robocalls. The place is right off the golf course. Although I didn't golf, it was a serene and calm view out my window. This is a nicely furnished one-bedroom condo, which feels like a home to a business-travel veteran like myself. I will stay here any time I’m in Traverse City.

Advertisement said, sleeps 4. New bedcouch needed.2. The front door to building does not shut properly. 3. No washing facilities. Needed to go off site to wash clothes.

This budget priced condo is simple indeed. The owner does take pride in their property and has made some improvements even though it is decorated very simple. We will look at the sofa bed. We did not know there were any issues.

It felt like a full size mattress and was a little cozy for the 2 of us!

Disappointing Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The TV didn't work right. I called Friday (6th) and was told someone would get back to me, but no one ever did. Eventually it quit working altogether. The air conditioner in the bedroom was so loud we couldn't sleep with it on. We would have to get up a couple of times in the night and run it a few minutes. A large tree obstructed most of the view. The bed was also uncomfortable and hot. All of these issues added up to a rather unpleasant stay.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. THe air conditioner will be looked at. The tree is a part of the resort of which there is nothing we can do about that. Not sure we understand about the bed being hot. It is a standard mattresss. All the same we will look into this.

Unfortunate chain of events exasperated by Covid 19

Prior to arrival we were notified that the Patio door had no outside handle but was still functional. Functional Yes, No handle on the outside sharp edges & sharp screws on the outside. We called to complain & they said due to lack of maintenance people no one could fix. Just live with it. We were told Wi-Fi Accessible. Not so much and not most of the time. Assuming Poor router. TV was ok. Condo was clean and and view from the Balcony was nice. Condo price was reasonable, but I would not stay there again.

We are sorry about the slider handle. During the recent storms wifi connections at many properties were weak or non existent. Also when much bandwidth is being used connections can be slow we are so sorry for your troubles

We had a wonderful view of the Spruce golf course from the deck where we enjoyed happy hour (after I cleaned the outdoor furniture). This older unit has all the basics for your stay, but is in serious need of updating and a deep cleaning. The VisitUpNorth people were very responsive when I called to report a mess of food in the stove drawer. I cleaned the bathroom and living room floors and the cloth came away black. We would never stay in this unit again. A positive note: everyone at VisitUpNorth was helpful and professional with the booking process and in follow up after our arrival.

Terrible customer service, but awesome condo to stay in.

Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in several locations using Visit Up North Vacation Rentals over the years, but the last two stays have been very disappointing. We received a coupon for a future stay last October after an unpleasant stay in Suttons Bay. We used it last weekend (May 18-20, 2018) and after, decided that we won't be booking with them again. Prior to your stay, they email a link to a portal that is very hard to navigate on a mobile device (if you even have service up north), nothing is sent via PDF or mail prior. They give you the access codes the day of. We had to call the office to get the unit number of our condo and the passcode to enter at 4pm. We were not made aware that we had to go to their main office to get a key to the unit, which closed at 5. We then had to drive 15 minutes into town to get said key. During our phone interactions with the customer service rep, not once did we get an apology. When I spoke with the front desk at the office, she laughed jokingly when I came in for the key. I didn't get the impression that they understood how inconvenient this was or how frustrated I was. We received a call Saturday asking us how our stay was going and when I said "It started rough, but its good good" she didn't ask why or what they could help with. They just said "Ok, good. Have a great day.". There are many options to stay up north, this company won't be one of them for us.

We apoligize for the poor communication. yes we do have a portal that should hae been simple to use. It is convenient with all of the information the gusest would want during their stay. We also offer US mail or a pdf if that is what a customer prefers. We do not know where the breakdown happened and wish we could redo your experience all over again. We really do want to have happy guests.

michigan escape trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean and well kept. We had a great time. The only problem was the air conditioner in the bedroom. It was noisy and ran all the time. The one in the living room would turn off when it got caught up. It made it hard to sleep. Luckily the nights were cool and we didn't have to run it much.
