There is not a better view of Kentucky Lake available than "The Barge Inn" on Kentucky Lake. This lakefront property is located on a tall bluff overlooking the widest part of Kentucky Lake where the Tennessee River merges with the Big Sandy River. You will see the Big Sandy Wildlife Refuge across the lake to the West. You will see Paris Landing State Park Lodge 4.0 ⁞miles across the lake to the north. Your view of Tennessee River traffic is unimpeded for a 12 mile stretch of the river channel. You will enjoy watching sail boats, lots of barges, cabin cruisers, fishing tournaments, cargo ships, and river cruise boats. The wind currents caused by the bluff next to the lake result in the perfect location to watch the eagles soar looking for their next meal. You will be able to enjoy lake activities just 200 yards down the road to the beach. There are (4) kayaks and a pedal boat available to use when the weather is calm. The beach provides a great place to swim, float and fish. Nature, small towns, antiques and Civil War history are the main attractions at the Barge Inn. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle look no further.
The Barge Inn lake front retreat is light, airy and clean with spacious living areas, two large decks, comfortable bedrooms, great mattresses, sparkling clean fully supplied bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.
This lakeside retreat is only 2 hours from Nashville, Tn if you want to take a day trip to Music City. The property is 40 minutes from Murray State University or 1 hour from Austin Peay University. The Barge Inn is only 25 minutes from Ft. Donelson, a Civil War fort, that was key to securing the Cumberland River gateway to Nashville Tn. The original surrender house for the Battle of Dover is part of the National Park landmarks in Dover, Tn. that you can tour. The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is about 30 minutes away. This area offers hiking, biking, horseback riding, a buffalo and elk range that can be driven through, a nature center, a planetarium, and more.

Vince and Pat were wonderful—thank you for the homemade bread upon our arrival! The place was so clean and comfortable but the best thing by far was the view of the lake! We watched pelicans and Eagles fishing as we sat on the deck! (I’ll add photos when I get home.). We were able to explore Land Between the Lakes and spend time in Nashville—both were enjoyable drives with lots of opportunities to see nature. The golf cart rental wea great, too. We are looking forward to returning so we can use the kayaks!

This home was perfect for our fall break getaway. Everything was just as the listing said and so clean. Pat & Vince were so friendly and helpful. We were even given homemade bread upon arrival. The views were spectacular in this very peaceful area. We highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved everything about the Barge Inn. A lovely place at a beautiful location. The golf cart was definitely a huge help since we spent a lot of time at the beach and we stayed as a family of 7. The owners are very attentive and always strive to make your stay the best possible. We loved the porch and the overall feel of the house, everything was very clean. The Internet was fast and the kitchen is well equipped! I even baked a birthday cake there ! 10/10 recommend

My wife and I along with and her siter spent a few days at this quiet home on Kentucky Lake. The westerly view of the lake from the screened in porch makes for some great sunsets. The house was super clean. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils. Check-in and check-out were easy. Not that we needed anything, but Elroy was available if anything came up.It's a bit remote, so we found ourselves taking day trips into LBL and the surrounding area and coming back late afternoon and staying put after that. This will be our go-to place when we're back in the area.

We have spent many vacations all over Kentucky lake and Lake Barkly and the view from this house far exceeds them all. No pics can do it Justice. Nice home with a screened in porch. The property owners, Vince and Pat are awesome. We will be returning without a doubt.

This property is wonderful. It is very clean and the view of Kentucky Lake is beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and watching the water traffic. We even saw a barge go by and the eagles flew right in front of the cottage. The hosts are very nice and even had a loaf of homemade bread waiting on us. I can’t say enough good things about this rental. I would highly recommend that you stay here!!!

The Barge Inn was amazing! It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The views of the lake were spectacular and better than the photos show. We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay. There were several good restaurants nearby and lots to do around Land Between the Lakes. We had so much fun fishing and kayaking on the lake as well. Our hosts were so kind and helpful! They had homemade banana bread waiting for us which was such a nice treat! We are so glad we chose to stay at the Barge Inn!

The Barge Inn is a cute 2 bdrm, 1 bath house (the shower pressure is great) that is immaculately clean, with a huge wall of glass with doors leading onto the large deck. The lake view is spectacular! Everything you need besides your clothing & food is there for you. Lots of wildlife along the road to get there. We had a wonderful time. And communicating with Vince & Pat is so easy.

We stayed at Barge Inn for a week recently. It was a very nice house in a nice neighborhood. It was easy to contact the owners and they were always willing to help us if we had questions. A great place to stay.

Beautiful view of the river, peaceful.

We booked this as it was affordable and the perfect place for us to have a long weekend to relax and do some fishing. The home was comfortable and well supplied for our stay. The evening sunsets are amazing form the big front porch. Convenient boat ramp just down the hill and great parking for truck and boat. Mr Vince (one of the owners) was an absolute pleasure to meet and talk with and lives right nearby. We were even greeted with a nice loaf of bread from Mrs Patricia. Excellent communication and attention to our needs as we were arriving and throughout our stay. We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back soon. Thanks so much!

Everything was perfect!

We stayed here for a fishing tournament and it worked out really well. Lots of room to park and plug in the boat at night. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Great sunset views, fantastic hosts, and the perfect location. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

70th Birthday Celebration

The Barge Inn is a must stay for all who love water front view, peaceful and serene surroundings. Hiking and beach is available. Paris Landing State Park and Lodge is a beautiful place to visit and have a delicious meal. Our hosts were wonderful greeting us with fresh baked bread. The house pleasantly and peacefully decorated creating an atmosphere of welcoming and relaxation. Will definitely return.
