Great spot to stay for a winter/ ski getaway! cozy, homey, well-stocked, and Stephanie was very responsive to questions. We wish we could have stayed longer!

This is an amazing property! Honestly, I want to live there! Kitchen and living room was perfect for hosting guests during my daughter's wedding weekend. Ohhh and the bathrooms are absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean, comfortable, and will definitely book this house again! 10 stars from me and my family!!

Stephanie was a great host and her communications were timely and helpful. She was very responsiveness if we had any questions and work to ensure we had a nice stay. The house was one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve stayed in and the decor and details were wonderful. She truly thought of a lot of little ways to make people feel at home. The property is also very spacious for a big family and I loved that we were all able to come together in the family room and kitchen area. It’s a little bit of a drive from Chambersburg and there isn’t a whole lot nearby which is my only negative comment but it was an easy drive.

Tje Parnell House was awesome.

Our hosts were excellent. The house was perfect for our familiy and friends. I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place in the country in the greater Chambersburg / Mercersburg area.

Amazing Home

Amazing home. It truly felt like home away from home. We were in the area to visit family for the holidays. The grandkids loved having the second living room! Highly recommend this house.

We attended a wedding at the Golfish barn this past weekend and the Parnell Hideaway was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed all the extra touches that made it feel like home. The house itself was spotless. The area outside was perfect for relaxing by the fire pit. Would definitely book again. Thanks again for making things special for our family.

Perfect Home and Location

We stayed with granddaughters. We chose this location as it was close to Flight 93 Memorial and Gettysburg. The home was as advertised and beautiful. We didnt want for anything!

Beautiful Property

Home was clean, comfortable, homey and stylish at the same time. The attention to details was impeccable. If we had forgotten anything, we would have been able to find it available in the house. We will be booking again. Loved it.

Perfect hideaway

Beautiful and peaceful! Very close to The Goldfish Barn; easy back and forth to the venue for my nieces wedding. The house was very handicapped accessible and easy for my mother to get around in. We hope to return during warmer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor space. Stephanie was quick to respond to questions and lots of info given ahead of time!

We were there visiting family

Parnell Hideaway was absolutely beautiful. We liked that it was surrounded by corn fields. Got to see deer both mornings having corn for breakfast. It was exactly what the pictures were on line. Everyone had their own bedroom which was great. Stephanie our host thought of everything to make it feel like a home away from home. She was also very easy to communicate with if we had questions.I would definitely stay at Parnell Hideaway if we came back in the future.

Peaceful

The property was quite peaceful and roomy! 7 of us had areas where we could go to read listen to music watch television play games or find solitude. Great for bird watching and picnicking tho it was too chilly for us to picnic yet. We happened upon a windy weekend but it was an amazing getaway! The host was spectacular.

Awesome Stay

The Parnell Hideaway was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices and plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Stephanie was a great host with a lot of tips and included a detailed guide for the home. She also provided a S'mores Kit for a great time at the firepit. The home was warm and cozy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Girls Trip

Wonderful quiet place to relax. Pictures do not do justice to this home, its beautiful! Hostess has great communication. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind- this is it! Close to Chambersburg and Cowans Gap. Highly recommend!

The Parnell Hideaway nestled in the woods of south central Pennsylvania and is surrounded by trees, mountains and farmland. St. Thomas is a small town (around 6,000 people) and an easy drive to Mercersburg (7 miles), Chambersburg (10 miles), Greencastle (12 miles), Shippensburg (22 miles) and Gettysburg (30 miles).
