Welcome to our charming Bremen Cottage—a peaceful retreat just minutes from Smith Lake Park without the waterfront price tag. Once my wife’s grandmother’s home, it’s now lovingly remodeled to blend family history with modern comfort.

2 bedrooms + daybed room + sleeper sofa = space for up to 7

Plush living room with 65" Roku TV, plus additional TVs in bedrooms and den

Fiber internet (300+ Mbps) for streaming, work, or tournament prep

Fully Equipped Kitchen
Cook, host, or reheat tournament leftovers with full-size fridge, stove, dishwasher, and stocked cookware. Other items might be available upon request.

Perfect for Fishermen & Events

Covered parking for one + gravel parking for more (great for boats/trailers). Our covered area is only big enough to accommodate one bass boat. Larger boats will not fit due to height restrictions. More covered parking in a shop nearby could be available at request.

Outdoor plugs for gear and easy turnaround

Quick access to Smith Lake Park, Smith Lake Dam, Stone Bridge Farms weddings, Wallace State events, and Cullman’s Ag Trade Center, Stoney Lonesome, and a lot more!

Pets Possibly Allowed Upon Request
We definitely understand how pets can become four-legged family members. Because of some renters misusing the property, this location is not "pet friendly" automatically / all the time. If you have to have pet-friendly accommodations, let us know.

The home sits on 3 acres with room to roam. We live nearby but tucked back in the woods—available if you need us, invisible if you don’t.

Everything was clean and roomy. Everything functioned and worked as it should. Communication was good with the host. We did have a scary encounter with the neighbor dog. Our host did contact them immediately and we never had another issue, but it did restrict our time outside, as we didn’t want to risk a repeat.

Felt like home

Thanks, Matt and Abby our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house is very nice and appointed with everything you would need. The weather was not so great keeping us inside quite a bit. This place made it worth the trip.

Awesome Cozy Cottage

We were very happy with our experience. The owners did a great job in the renovation. All of the small touches and attention to detail was very appreciated. We felt very comfortable there and the dogs enjoyed their stay too. Very welcoming. I definitely would go back.

Loved every thing about this house. All the furniture, decor, down to the sheets was all coordinated to match the old farmhouse look and it was so nice. Very clean! Would love to find a reason to come back!

Adorable and exceptionally clean!

What a beautiful, roomy, clean cottage! Every tiny little thing was already considered and provided for us. The owners were extremely communicative and responsive. The kitchen is well-stocked. The bedroom was comfortable. Check in/out process could not be easier. One of the best stays we have had and I just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

I attended Birmingham-Southern College and Auburn University, where I finished with a dual-degree in Bachelors of Science and Industrial Engineering respectfully. I alway had a dream of being able to fish professionally. This dream turned into a thrilling career, and I've been fishing professionally for nine years now, exploring various corners of the country.

Abby, initially a dedicated nurse, chose to join me on my travels in 2018, embracing the adventure of life on the road. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through in 2020 when she founded Lake Home Solutions, a concierge service specializing in the Smith Lake area. Her business primarily focuses on maintaining and managing short-term rentals, ensuring they are in pristine condition.

This experience directly translates into the care we put into our own rental property. We understand the nuances of creating a welcoming and well-maintained space, ensuring that our property will be in impeccable condition for your stay.
