White Brick Studio is a small studio apartment inside of a larger home. Since the home was originally built as a single family home, noise can travel easily inside - we love quiet guests and single travelers!

This is a recently updated studio apartment (no door between the kitchen and bedroom) on the first floor of a vintage building on a quiet street, right between OSU and the popular Short North Arts District - walk to campus, shops, night life, and restaurants!

Noise: This is a studio apartment inside of an early 1900s house. It is NOT soundproofed like modern apartments. We love quiet guests! If you are coming to Columbus to stay up late and party, please do not stay here. If you hear excessive noise in the building after 9pm, please let us know and we will address it. Guests in violation of this policy will be asked to leave.

The bedroom has a queen foam mattress and can sleep two guests. There is a small seating area for two, a desk, and a TV on a rotating wall mount. The kitchen features basic appliances and cookware - pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, toaster, and coffee maker. Coffee and filters are provided.

TV: There is a TV in the unit with a built-in Roku technology for signing into your own Netflix account and few local TV channels are available through a digital tuner (no cable).

This neighborhood is in the perfect location between Ohio State and the Short North. Our street and the nearby ones have some beautiful grand Victorian homes. This neighborhood draws a healthy blend of graduate students, young professionals, and families. Many of the grand Victorian homes have been split up into multiple units, like this one!

Here are just a few of the places you can easily get to on foot - actual WALKING times:
~3 minutes to Junior's Tacos (food truck at 5th and Highland)
~3 minutes to the Bottle Shop (bar), and Hamptons on King (bar)
~5 minutes to High Street (North High Brewing, Condado Tacos, Paulie Gee's Pizza, Kroger grocery store, and more bars, shopping, and restaurants)
~10 minutes to Ohio State's central campus
~15 minutes to Wexner Medical Center
~20 minutes to Ohio Stadium

For guests staying 7 nights or more, laundry will be available in the basement, between 9am and 9pm, any day except Sunday.

***Special note about air quality*** Two cats live in the other part of this building. They never go inside the studio (and please don't let them). They are friendly and you may see them outside in the yard. We have been hosting for a while, and we've found that about 1 in every 100 guests have noticed a cat smell inside the studio. Most people (including us) can't smell anything - but - if you are very sensitive to smells and/or you have cat allergies, we do NOT recommend booking our place. If you choose to book and then decide not to stay, we will offer you a refund for your unused nights that we can get rebooked to other guests. We do provide a Levoit air purifier in the bedroom to help keep the air as clean as possible!

The TV does not have cable or access to any free live channels. It is a “smart” TV only. You will need to log into your own streaming accounts to play content on the TV.
