Hop House is a calm home that comfortably sleeps 8. Walkable to downtown Kent!

Enjoy your stay in this well-appointed 1,400 SF historic home next door to Bell Tower Brewing Co., walkable to downtown Kent, the river hike and bike trail and a short drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This home has a bedroom and full bath on the first floor and three bedrooms and full bath on the second floor. It is ideal for families, friend groups and couples.

Other things to note
Due to a local requirement you must sign a lease agreement. It will be customized to your reservation days. This will be handled upon arrival.

Also due to local requirements, you must certify that no more than 5 unrelated guests will be staying at the property. The house sleeps up to 8 and that maximum is for families and relatives only. Friend groups are limited to 5 guests.

There is a strict no-smoking or vaping policy. A fee of $250 will be assessed if a guest smokes on property.

We stayed for 5 nights. The owner was amazingly responsive to our small questions. The house was perfect in all the ways: comfort, location, conveniences, games/puzzles/toys for kids, seating for all 8 of us, lively yard and front porch, all kinds of fun board games. We love, love, loved it and will be back!

The host was very kind and responsive. House was well-equipped and perfect for our family get together. The location is perfect, quiet, walkable to downtown. There’s a very pleasant brewery/restaurant next door and a trailhead just a couple blocks from the house for walks along the river.

The place was great!! Great location! On the weekend, the parking was crazy. Ran out of paper towels and towels. We had to use the towels over and over. Would be amazing if there was a washer and dryer. We stayed at the house with 6 people for a week so the towel situation was not the greatest!! The batteries in the remote died so we had to go buy some. Just a few things but the house was awesome!

Girls Hockey Weekend

We had a great stay at the Hop House! The house was clean and exactly as described, providing everything we could possibly need during our stay. The house was comfortable and charming, and in a great location with Bell Tower Brewery right next door. We came for KSU hockey and this was the perfect location! Would highly recommend.

Wonderful

Everything was great. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook and seems to have barely been used. Maybe because next door is their brewery with amazing food. Clean. Spacious but cozy. Walking distance to cool shops and spots in Kent. Even in the winter we walked around and walked a block to the indoor farmers market. Host was easy to communicate with and responsive.

Cute, comfy house in a good location

We came to town to have Thanksgiving with local family. The house was in a good location and had everything we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving meal- including an apron! Many restaurants close by and a quick walk across the parking lot to Bell Tower Brewing. Would definitely stay here again.

THE HOP HOUSE IS A VERY CHARMING PROPERTY. THE LOCATION IS NEXT TO THE BELL TOWER BREWERY WHICH HOSTED THE WEDDING REHEARSEL DINNER. YOU ARE IN WALKING DISTANCE TO AMAZING TRAILS DOWN THE RIVER AND DOWNTOWN. WE ENJOYED GAMES AND THE KITCHEN FOR MEALS. THE WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL AND WE ALL GATHERED ON THE FRONT PORCH FOR FAMILY VISITING. A PERFECT PLACE. TO STAY-- WE WANT TO GO BACK SOON. .

Wonderful Home!

The hosts were quick to respond and proactive. This home was lovely everywhere we looked. We immediately wanted to stay longer than two days. So welcoming. The beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the plentiful supplies & bath towels. We noticed that our hosts have taken great care with the upgrades, and we delighted in their choice of colors and decor in every room. We were truly looking forward to using the kitchen. We think they must have had a lot of fun with this renovation.

Great location!

This house is right in the heart of Kent downtown, so you can walk almost anywhere...library, post office, Kent stage, restaurants. We liked that there were not decorative items or knick-knacks all over, just some attractive wreaths so the table surfaces were clear. There were plenty of towels and dishes. The refrigerator had a nifty automatic water filter. We would have liked a washer and dryer.

Six in the family that stayed. Nicely decorated house that has a great selection of games and beautiful kitchen. Enough room for all of us. Excellent restaurant next to the house, called Bell Tower Brewing, so good we ate their twice. Would stay there again.

Wonderful house

This property is the best. We loved having the brewery next door and spent most of the time on the front porch. This house is so cute-we loved how it was decorated. It was so clean and provided everything we needed. We were there for a family reunion and may have to rent this house again for next year.

Wonderful !

We stayed in the Hop House as we transitioned from one home to another in the Cleveland area. The home was beautiful and the host very welcoming and responsive. We have stayed in many homes and most lack a proper kitchen. This was stocked well and had everything I needed to feel at home cooking etc. Wonderful- Wish we didnt live so close so we could stay again!
