Worth the trip

Our host was wonderful and the location ideal to the AT and we were pleased to have made the trip. Unfortunately, due to a sensitivity to mildew and all the rain in the area, we needed to cut our trip shorter than planned.

Wonder Cabin in Town

This is an adorable cabin right in the beautiful town of Hot Springs NC. The view from the front porch is amazing. You are in walking distance to many excellent trails. The cabin is right beside the Appalachian Trail for starters. In a five minute walk you also can be at Big Pillow Brewery, which has delicious beer and a great taco stand. In a six minute walk you can be at Hot Springs Natural Mineral Spa where you can soak in a private tub along Spring Creek. I highly recommend this special cabin in this special town.

Anniversary trip

The cottage was clean, had a nice kitchen for cooking, a pretty view, and an easy walk into town. We'll stay here again for future trips to Hot Springs.

This cabin is in a great spot within walking distance to town. It is a little musty as mountain cabins often are but otherwise very clean and comfortable.

My wife and I had an amazing anniversary stay at this charming, spotless cottage in Hot Springs! The location was perfect—peaceful yet just a short walk to town and close to the Appalachian Trail. The hot tub was a highlight, with a great setup that made it even more enjoyable.Evenings spent rocking on the porch chairs, watching fireflies, were magical. Since our last visit in 2017, the town has added more amenities, and this rental made it easy to access them all.My favorite experience was a perfect day that started with tubing on the French Broad River, followed by a relaxing soak in the mineral waters at the Hot Springs Resort and Spa. We finished our day with a run through the rain to enjoy pizza and drinks at Vinyl Pies, then took a short, scenic, and less-wet walk back home!A huge thanks to Melanie, the property owner, who went above and beyond to make our stay possible. She was kind, responsive, and clearly takes pride in offering a clean, well-furnished home. Her warmth and attention to detail made our trip truly special. Highly recommend!

Trailside AT haven

Trailside cottage was perfect for relaxing after a few days on trail. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen stocked with all I needed. The town is quiet and the views serene. I'd certainly plan on staying again on my next trip to Hot Springs.

This cozy cottage is just right for that romantic mountain getaway or family vacation fun. Outdoor hot tub just steps outside your back door. Relax on the rocking chair front porch with a good book or for good conversation. Full size/ fully equipped kitchen. Take a long relaxing bath in the 100 year old clawfoot bathtub. The decor of Trailside Cottage reflects the Appalachian Trail, rafting and outdoor highlights of the area. This 1940's cottage furnishings are in keeping with the era yet boast modern Smart TV & You Tube Channel, DVD player and secured wi-fi. Return again and again to Trailside Cottage as your home away from home.
