Paradise!
In our three week trip, we stayed at 5 different places, and this Trullo was hands down the best. It is absolutely beautiful! And the owners, Andrea and Elena, are among the nicest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever come to meet, not just in Italy, but across all the home aways we’ve used in the last few decades. Throughout the trip, he kept in touch with us through a group chat, and was informing us of various summer events that were happening in the area, to make sure we made the most out of our trip.
The property is absolutely stunning! The pictures are really beautiful, but when you see this place for real, prepare to be even more impressed! Nestled in the rural Laureto, it is very close (~20 minute drive) to three iconic medieval villages in Puglia: Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Alberobello, not to mention the proximity to the beautiful coastal villages Polignano a Mare and Monopoli. It’s a recently remodeled “Trullo”, combining the beautiful rustic look of these iconic cone-shaped roofs, with the modernized interior, with high quality furniture and interior decoration. The property on which the Trullo sits is huge! You can literally go take 10 minute walks without ever leaving the (gated) grounds!
All in all, we highly recommend this place! You can tell Andrea and Elena are committed to making their guests’ experience the best it can be. In retrospect, we concluded that we probably should have devoted a longer period in Puglia and in this beautiful Trullo.
