The accommodation was excellent, clean, kitchenette, well supplied, roomy!!The main issue was the noise, on very busy street, loud trucks going by, I would recommend a king size bed. The owner was on the property and delightful to meet, he provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and area attractions!

Galena Weekend

Very clean and comfortable accommodations that were a convenient walking distance to downtown. The ambiance, delicious breakfast along with a great history lesson generously offered by Charles and Sandy was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay again!

Abe’s Spring Street Guest home was a treat. Placed above the active Galena main entrance & in close proximity of Main Street, the studio offered great perspective & restful reprieve. We were able to refresh & restore our energy along with our wellbeing at the guest home. We see the potential of our family filling the multiple units for a meaningful family vacation! Our appreciation to the host & owners: the studio was clean & in great maintenance. We highly recommend the studios if you’re comfortable with steps to the raised studios. Enjoy Galena!!

We had a great stay! Charles and Sandy are wonderful hosts! Our room was spacious and very clean! The breakfast in the brewery room was stunning and perfect for our Valentine’s Day getaway! Go for a stay!

Comfortable Art-filled Rooms Near Main Street

The room was perfect for two. If you stay two nights, make sure to take advantage of Charlie and Sandra’s free breakfast in their renovated brewing cellar for a delicious meal and a fascinated piece of Galena history.

By busy road trying to sleep was crazy had to buy ear plugs for next night, all night long traffic going by and loud. Otherwise room is nice, is studio not 1 bedroom.

Halloween in Galena

We loved our stay at Abe's Spring Street Guest House. The studio is decorated with beautiful artwork and the location is perfect for walking downtown. The breakfast was unexpected and wonderful - we enjoyed learning about the history of the building and the food was amazing!

Beautiful space in a charming historic building

Studio apartment with soaring ceilings and skylights, on top of an old Galena brewery, walking distance to downtown. Beautiful artwork in the unit. The host was extremely communicative and easy to work with. The business as a whole is called the Abe's Spring Street Guesthouse if you would like to check them out.

The place was clean, laid out nicely, great size and overall beautiful and comfortable. We like to sit outside and have coffee or enjoy a drink in the evening and the property was on a busy street. That was our only drawback. You could not, however, hear the street noise while in the room.

More than I expected!

First of all, this room was about 3x the size I thought it was going to be (bonus!). It was spotless. Walking distance to downtown Galena was awesome because I didn’t have to deal with parking. The breakfast on Sunday morning in the 1850 cellar was divine—I keep telling people it was the best omelette I’ve ever had, in the most beautiful setting with elevated service.
