Lovely cottage on quiet country road in Millerton, New York, on 23 acres.

Our lovely 1810 cottage, on a quiet road is bright, cozy, and comfortable. We have two bedrooms, with artwork and books, a large living room with a sofa to sink into with a book, and a separate study, for working or creating, with a view of fields behind the house. Also a private gym with a stationery bike, rowing machine, free weights, yoga equipment. The cottage is thirty feet from the main house and barn, so guests will share the driveway and the 23 acres surrounding the house. Walking distance to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail and neighboring sheep and dairy farms.
Come here to read, take walks in nature, watch birds, sleep deeply, or work in a serene setting. Nearby lakes for swimming. Many accessible hikes. Wonderful restaurants in several towns nearby.

There is a shared laundry room.
Pets are welcome. We will charge an additional $20 per night per pet.
Our cleaning fee is $90 for a two night stay, $120 for stays longer than two nights.

Absolutely loved this property! It’s magical. The house is comfortable and has everything one needs. The host is gracious. I even extended my stay for an extra week. My four legged companion loved taking walks around the property and seeing all the visiting wildlife. The property is beautifully landscaped and just lovely to explore. Will definitely return in the future.

What a little gem! We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and serenity of the property. The farm house was a delightful mix of old and new. Everything we needed was readily available. The house was very clean and very comfy. We loved the environmentally conscious products and all the special touches. Hope to come back soon! Don’t hesitate to rent this magical step back in time!

What an idilic getaway weekend spot! The cottage was clean and crisp with oodles of quiet outside space and only a few miles from the cute town of Millerton with shops and restaurants. Perfection!

Another wonderful stay!

We had another wonderful stay at Anne’s beautiful cottage! The property couldn’t be more lovely and Anne’s communication and help was perfect. Last visit we came with our son, this time I brought my parents. The cottage was perfect for both. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage in Millerton. The setting is magical. You walk through arching apple trees to reach the cottage, tucked behind the main house and separated by a charming patio. Inside, the space is cozy and inviting, with shelves lined with great books to enjoy. The view of the back garden, mowed paths, and surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful. Our host was very thoughtful and welcoming, leaving coffee, cream, fresh flowers, and fruit for us. We would love to return!

We Loved Anne's Cottage

We went for a little writers retreat and it was the perfect place. Something out of a dream. Perfect locations, beautifully decorated, comfortable and just all around perfect. We also loved jumping from Millerton to Pine Plains to Lakeview. Absolutely wonderful.

Pleasant Respite

Two of us stayed for three nights in this charming cottage. We found it to be spotless, beautifully appointed and thoughtfully prepared. The location is very near the town of Millerton. Parking at the cottage is easy and accessible. There are lovely views and lots of good light on sunny days. The owner checked in regularly and made herself available if need be. But there was no need because everything was just about perfect. Yes, we would stay here again.

Salisbury Trip

I stayed at the Lovely Cottage for 9 days and was thoroughly impressed by the property and the owner. It’s just as it states, a spectacular Lovely Cottage! The space was exactly what I was looking and the property and area was incredible. I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this was the first owner that went out of her way to make my stay exceptional! Besides all the special amenities, coffee, bottled water, chocolate, and specialty soaps, toothpaste and shower amenities, it was her communication throughout my stay that impressed me the most! Without being intrusive, she would email me to make sure I had all I needed and to give information on places to eat and hiking in the area. Although she was not in the main home during my stay, anything I needed she made sure her assistant, Michelle, would provide! I absolutely recommend this property and hope to visit again! Thank you you Anne and Michelle!
