What a cute little cabin! We had such a wonderful weekend getaway! The 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin was perfect for our stay, and being pet-friendly was a huge bonus! Our sweet Labrador, Trout, absolutely loved the long walks and even made a few new friends when the cows stopped by to say hello! Such a peaceful, charming little place to relax and unwind. Our host was absolutely wonderful too. We would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant Place was an absolutely wonderful choice! The host was so welcoming and communicative, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The property exceeded our expectations, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to spend a few peaceful days in the country with my family. Sometimes, the simplest moments are the most special, and having this time together in such a beautiful, peaceful setting was a blessing. We even loved watching the cows grazing in the distance! It was such a lovely, relaxing getaway, and we left feeling thankful for the experience and the memories we made together. We would happily stay here again!

The place was everything in the description and more. Was there in Aug very hot. But sitting on porch in the morning and late afternoon was nice with the breeze. The host was excellent and went above and beyond what she needed to do. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

This was a perfect place for our family. We were here to celebrate our grandson’s first birthday. This home was the perfect size and allowed us to navigate back and forth to Canton for the birthday party. The kitchen is well stocked and the coffee bar was nice.

We arrived late & GPS took us down the wrong road... Kerry came to get us & led us in the right direction. The house was clean & comfortable. Our smaller dog enjoyed hanging out. It really was a beautiful spot. Since we arrived after dark it was a beautiful surprise to wake up to. We didn't want to leave.

House exceeded expectations! Host was incredibly accommodating and had all the small things on hand that we forgot to bring (sugar for instance), and had a good variety of quality kitchen supplies. Home comfortably slept all 7 of our guests. We really enjoyed the quiet country setting and the fresh flowers put out was a nice touch!

The kid on the couch chose to sleep there, rather than a bed

We enjoyed a four night stay at Pleasant Place for a short getaway to rest with our dog Lucy. Pleasant Place was just just as described- a pleasant place. The host was prompt in confirming the reservation, communicating details and having the house and property in tip top condition. She provided clear and helpful directions and the house, pond and property were relaxing as if you had the world to yourself. Just a short 10 minute drive into Canton for meals and stuff. I suggest getting a whole chocolate pie from Brothers Cafe to take back to Pleasant Place to enjoy a little each day and you can walk/hike around the property to handle the extra calories. You can get a mile in easy by just walking the gravel drive from the house, by the pond , to the property entrance and back. Then I would suggest cooling off on the wonderful deck around the house with delightful views of the pond, fields or the cows nearby. It was our dog Lucy's first time encountering a cow and she was quite curious with these big black creatures on the other side of the fence. Oddly, I never heard a moo during our stay, of course, it was August in Texas with each day in 100 heat. So the cows may have been too hot to waste the energy. By the way, the HVAC system was wonderful and the cabin retained its comfortable temperature both day and night. And the night views of the sky and stars were wonderful- deep in the heart of Texas away from any light pollution.
