House is located on a beautiful private inlet on the WARM/Private side of Lake Anna. Water depth is 2-4 ft depending on the time of year/what the power plant is doing. We have no problem bringing jet skis right up to the deck/beach/seawall. Community marina is less than 2 blocks away with free day slips for your use.

9/8/26 - Dominion Power Plant has a scheduled 8 week shut down that will result in lower water levels - boat access could be limited to the community marina depending on water depth

Beautiful house - easily accommodated all of us. We were sad that the water was so low and we couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks! Would have loved to had a hot tub!

Beautiful house and very well insulated which made the noise less for a big family. Great bedrooms and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking dishes. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you.

We may have been the first rental of the season, because the house was not the cleanest / most ready for us, but our group had a great time and the space was more than accommodating for our large group. The property has a lot to offer and we would definitely come back next year!

I'm so sorry the house wasn't ready when you arrived. You were our 1st renters of the season but that's no excuse. We had the cleaners go thru a couple weeks before but I guess it would be better if it was the day before so dust doesn't have time to resettle on things . I'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed the space - please come again!

The house was beautiful and was perfect for the size of our family. Having the community pool and pickleball courts close by made it easy for not only a day activity but an evening activity as well. The only downside to the property was that the water was low (which is no fault to the host) and it made it a little challenging to get our jet skis out to deeper waters of the lake.

This is a great property! It was clean, spacious, and great for a large group. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in. All of the beds were super comfortable. The owner was very responsive to any questions that I had. I highly recommend this home!

This home hosted us to an amazing Thanksgiving for our family and close friends! There is plenty of room for everyone and the bathrooms were a major plus for a big family! You can’t beat the beautiful views in the dining room! The only thing we could say would be to have the beds made with clean sheets on arrival!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our home! In an effirt to be more environmentally friendly We provide a clean sheet package for each bed- that way only sheets that are opened/used have to be washed. The alternative of making all the beds would require us to wash all the bedding even if only a few beds were slept in. We hope you come again!

Wonderful family vacation spot

Our group of 11 adults and 9 children found this property to be great. The games and water amenities were ideal. The water level is shallow, but great for young children. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. Everyone had plenty of space for sleeping. We all enjoyed our vacation.

Beware: This Is Not Currently a Waterfront PropertyThe house is beautiful, spacious, clean, and well-equipped. If we were rating only the home itself, it would be a 10/10.Unfortunately, we chose this property primarily for lake access and water activities. Due to drought conditions, it is no longer a practical waterfront rental. Although kayaks, paddleboards, and a paddle boat are provided, the water is now too far from the house to make them realistically usable.We understand the drought is beyond the owner's control. However, we booked in May 2026 and were not informed of the water-access issue until September 8, just three days before check-in. We were told the lake was about 30 inches below normal and that kayaks and small boats could still be used. Upon arrival, the reality was very different. The water was much farther away than expected, making lake activities impractical.This was especially disappointing because our family, particularly the children, had planned the trip around swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. We contacted the host, who offered a future discount but no accommodation for the current stay.Because lake access was the primary reason for booking, we ended our vacation early. Had we known the true extent of the water-access issue, we would have chosen another property. While the home itself is excellent, prospective renters should understand that it is not currently a functional waterfront property.

I'm glad you liked the house and found it to have everything you needed/wanted. Unfortunately the timing of your trip considered with Dominion Energy doing a plant shut down for maintenance which dropped the lake level an additional 11 inches basically overnight. I posted and sent messages to all upcoming guests as soon as I heard about the Shut down but Dominion doesn't give homeowners much advanced notice. - For anyone new to Lake Anna - Dominion Power Plant owns the Lake and controls the water flow/ level. Planned shut downs are done in the off season (fall/winter) so if your planning a summer /May - Aug vacation you should be fine. We usually have 2-4 ft of water at the dock - great for kayaks, sups, fishing boats or a jet drive boat with an experienced driver. The draught at Lake Anna has definitely effected everyone but they are predicting the lake will be back to normal by Spring :) I hope you take me up on my offer to come back when the water is back and enjoy all we have to offer!

Very nice and very new. My kids slept great in these beds. There was plenty for everyone to do, and the most beds I’ve ever seen in a house. Or favorite thing to do was enjoy the fire pit while looking at the stars.

Large Spacious House

Very nice house - new construction, great design and plenty of room to accommodate our group of 24 without feeling cramped. Downstairs game room was great for the children

Family Vacation

This is a beautiful and well appointed new construction house with rooms and beds for everyone! We loved family time, especially on the back deck and the dock down by the water. Everything was close and convenient and we enjoyed spending time exploring Mineral. Karlene was fantastic, a great stay all around!

Great house for our extended family with lots of activities for all ages. Didn’t realize water level at house was so low, never stayed at lake home with this issue. We do use community pool and lake Anna state park lake. Both were nice

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. The water level will vary depending on what Dominion Power plant is doing at the time (Lake Anna is used to cool Dominion Power Plant). Water is usually have 3-4 ft deep in front of the house with 8 ft deep just a few yards away. We bring our 27 ft jet boat to the house regularly but if your not comfortable with the depth you can always use the community marina less than 2 blocks away (5 min walk). Please come again!

House was lovely overall! The Pros: Large, wonderful space. A gorgeous covered porch we used constantly. Nice views, and ability to kayak right from dock to lake. Pass to community pool was excellent. In general, a great size space for a large group. When there was a power outage host was responsive and helpful in providing instructions for checking breaker box.The Cons: We were surprised because it had changed from the listing when we booked, so a room originally listed as an en suite had no bathroom and no nearby bathrooms available. No one needing to go through someone else's room to use a shower was a major reason we had booked this, so that was disappointing and necessitated changing room assignments last minute. Would have been nice to get updated of changes. All tables and surfaces were tacky, not dirty but maybe a humidity issue? While there were enough towels provided, they were distributed at random in the bathrooms, with some having many extra and others not even having 2, it necessitated teamwork. The biggest issue was that while a crib was provided and I checked with the host to make sure it was usable before we arrived, it was not. It was adjustable, but tools were not given to adjust it and we were surprised to find the mattress was old and dipped in the middle, a potential safety issue. More transparency about what was provided, especially when specifically asked, would have saved a lot of headache.

I sorry the bedroom set up wasn't what you expected - but the layout is clearly stated in the listing - 9 bedrooms/8 bathrooms so one bedroom does not have an ensuite. The crib mattress height is permanently set to the lowest setting to accomodate all babies not just newborns. We do not provide tools for guests to adjust the height because we do not want guests taking apart the crib and potentially making it unsafe for the next child. (adjustable cribs are dangerous and most have been recalled or kits to permanently fix the height issued). The crib mattress is less than 2 yrs old and has only been used few months overs those 2 yrs but I will take a look at it to make sure it hasn't been damaged. The towels are located in each bathroom (for guest convenience) in the linen closet if the bathroom has one or under the sink. Each bathroom has minimum of 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths. If the bathroom serves a room that has more beds (ie bunkroom that sleeps 12) then there are at least 12 towels.

Great House and Community

Our large group enjoyed our stay. Everything is as listed. The location on the lake is more suitable to kayaking and lounging on the dock. Boating, floating, and pool is done through the HOA community dock and poolhouse. Would stay again!

We had a great time at Lake Anna. The house was new, nice, clean and had lots of kitchen supplies. The Lake was lower than usual so the water was very shallow in front of the home, but you could still kayak or SUP out to deeper water. If you want to get a boat it would not work. The water was super warm, we were there the 1st week in July and the water was 92 degrees. There were 2 fridges, 1 up and 1 down. There was 1 oven. Some of the beds were memory foam and some were plush mattresses. Bedrooms- Upstairs: 2 bedrooms - 1 very nice sized with king bed and attached bath with tub/shower, 1 with king bed, 2 twins, trundle under 1 twin, crib, attached bath with shower. Main floor 4 bedrooms, Master with king bed attached bath with double sink and shower, 2 bedrooms with king beds with shared bath between, 1 bedroom with king bed - no bathroom. Basement - 3 bedrooms, 2 with king beds with attached Beths with tub/showers. 1 Bedroom with King, queen, 2 twin bunks and 1 double bunk and attached bath with separate sink area from toilet and tub/shower. There is 1/2 bath on main floor. Super nice outdoor deck with comfy furniture. Living room has 1 couch and 1 loveseat, 2 tables with about 18 chairs. Downstairs has a TV with couch, chair, football and air hockey. Small game room for the kiddos. They had quite a few kayaks, SUPs and 1 paddleboat, they also had several life jackets of various sizes. We had dinners catered by a couple of local caterers.

The property was very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The kids stayed mainly in the basement playing games and watching movie. The water at the dock is only 3 feet deep and a slip was not offered. It worked for us but a larger boat will need somewhere else to dock. The kayaks and paddle boards were a huge hit with the kids. The water was extrememly warm, apparently due to the proximity of the nuclear power plant. There is no water access to the public side of the lake. Our side had much less boat traffic, a definite plus.

Decent House But Watch Out

The house is as-advertised, but be careful as it is on the private side of the lake. The listing says it has a private boat slip, which is fine if you have your own boat. Except if you do not, then you have to drive to the public side of the lake in order to rent one, and spend the day over there. So it leaves a much different overall experience from actually getting a house on the public side of the lake with a dock and you can actually keep the boat at the house for the entire stay.In addition, the house was not cleaned/ready by 4PM as advertised. There was some communication confusion between the host and the cleaners, and they only started cleaning our house at 4 PM and didn't finish until after 7 PM. The host gave me a refund of about 2% of the rental price, which seemed trivial.Finally, guests are required to buy the insurance. I did not think anything about this until after the trip I got an email indicating that the host had exercised the insurance policy. So I messaged the host to inquire, and was told that one of the puck-holding trays on an air hockey table was broken off, and the host sent a picture. I was not aware that our group had even tried to use the air hockey table and the host freely admitted that it might have been another group because in the picture it looked like it had been taped. This sounded fishy, so since they were going to get a new one from the insurance, I "offered" to pick up the broken one, but they declined. Seems fishy.

I sorry to hear that you time at Lake anna wasn't what you expected. I apologize again for the house not being ready when you arrived at 4pm - the cleaners didn't have your reservation on their calendar. I messaged you right away apologizing and offering $100 so you could take the family to ice cream or pizza (5 miles down the road) while they finished making the house perfect for you. I didn't get any reply so I assumed you were content with the resolution. Less than 2 hrs later as promised the cleaners were finished. The listing clearly says that the house is located on the private side/warm side which for most people is a plus - as you don 't have to deal with all the crowds and boat traffic that the public side is infamous for. You CAN rent a boat and trailer it to the private side. All guests have access to our community marina less than 2 blocks from the house for launching and you can park the boat at the house or use the free day slips at the marina. I'm not sure what you mean by fishy. After you checked out the the cleaners inspected the property and found the "pocket" of the air hockey table had been ripped off and was laying on the floor. Wiring was damaged and the machine no longer functions. As is required I filed an insurance claim with VRBO with date stamped pictures. Maybe your group didn't use the game but a child used the pocket as a step - who knows. It was strange that you wanted access to my home so you could pickup the broken one

Our rather large family greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. The host provided ample number of kyaks, paddle boards, etc so all the kids and adults could have one at the same time. The kitchen was well stocked with basic items and a ton of kitchen gadgets so we felt like we were right at home. We celebrate two birthdays, a great grandfather who turned 90 and his great grandson who turned 13 and we had our own game of family Survivor for three days. Our group included 21 people in ages ranging from 90 - 4 years old. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this property, especially if you have a large group.

NOT as Advertised!! There is no beach! It is a sand box with grass growing in it. Children cannot walk into the water from the sand. You have to climb over a wall. We have a 16ft Macco boat but there was no way the boat was going to this property. To get into the water you have a jump down from a wall onto a rickety panel of boards to get the kayaks and paddle boards into the water. The fin under the paddle boards kept getting stuck in the muck as we tried to get out to deeper water. We used the grill one night just fine but the second time we used it the propane ran out. The host did not have a backup bottle of propane and said that if we wanted propane we could go buy another bottle ourselves (not cool). There is only one oven (which I should have seen from the pictures) and it is hard to cook for that many with one oven and no propane. The remote in one bedroom needed batteries to get the light on but the host did not have a backup battery. Thankfully the host got one delivered in two days. The wasps here are terrible. One family member went to plug in something in the outdoor outlet on the back deck and got stung. It was a little scary with so many little kids and numerous wasp nests around the house. The house fit our needs and was laid out nicely with gathering places not above sleeping areas so that was a big plus!

The host was quick to respond. The property was large and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked.. There is plenty of space for people to spread out and also a lot of common areas to hang out. The kitchen and back deck were amazing. The pond was very low and muddy. There is a sandy area for kids to play but there is a sea wall to climb over. They had kayaks and paddle boards that got some use. The fire pit was also a hit.

This is an extremely family-friendly property. Our family included a 12-month-old to through seniors, and we all had a great time. The deck off the main living area was fantastic. Our host, Karlene, was very responsive.

Our House is wonderful because it is so private and spacious. situated on a wooded 2 acre lot at the end of a quiet inlet. Enjoy not only the lake but all the nature around you. We have a bald eagle that was born last year right near the house and we've been watching him learn to fish!
