Best Savannah Getaway

We stayed for our daughter's SCAD graduation and had a marvelous time. Great location to restaurants and coffe shops. Additional parking located behind home was very accessible.

Historic Savanna Retreat

We spent a long weekend in Savannah with family for a celebration, and this property was absolutely lovely. It is just as described, historic and beautiful in every way. Check in and out was seamless and the property managers were very much available if necessary. The location is fantastic and we will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Savanna.

Booking was easy, check in and check out instructions were clear and accessing the property when we got there was flawless. It’s located in a great central location, the area felt safe, it was easy for Ubers to pick up and drop off. The house is beautiful! Bedrooms were spacious with plenty of room for everyone’s things. Everything was in really good condition and very clean. We were only there for a few days, but this would be an easy house to stay for a week with a big family. The beds were comfortable and having the first floor ground suite was really accommodating to our older guests so that they did not have to navigate the stairs as much. I really don’t have anything negative or any suggestions for improvement with this property. I would definitely want to stay here again for another trip in Savannah. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, central, clean property in the heart of downtown Savannah. The decor was really cool and It’s definitely an impressive house.

Couldn't actually stay there

Unfortunately we were unable to stay at this property (host: Lucky Savannah) because of some maintenance issue at the property. However, the host was amazing in trying to get us into another comparable site which was beautiful!! The responses I gave represent the Waldburg Manor they changed our reservation to! Absolutely gorgeous but a bit further away than we had originally planned to stay. I can't highly recommend Lucky Savannah enough

Pros: Property is exactly as picturedNo issue with parking when we were thereGorgeous homeWalking anywhere was 15 minutes or so (perfect)Lots of room for all to spread outYou can walk anywhereSafe neighborhood2 blocks from Hop On Hop Off stopCons:When we got there the musty smell of property was so bad. we cranked up a/c and it took 2 days for it to be tolerable (one of us had to take allergy meds to stay)Windows have no screens and some painted shut so cannot openNeed more towels, only 1 hand towel per bathroom (for 6 women for 4 days!) and only 2 bath towels per person.Would have been convenient to have key to back gate so we wouldn't have to carry trash around the block to get to barrels

Relaxing visit for the whole family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was a nice mix of history and modernization. We enjoyed the history of the construction and the details that you don't always see in newer homes. We appreciated the upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms. I have a few recommendations. Two of the bathroom doors were sticking when trying to fully close them. There were a few places in the house where the height of the floor changes when going from one room to another. There were hard to see and we often tripped. I would recommend painting a small stripe at the transition so that someone walking from one to another could see the stripe of paint and hopefully notice that there was a change in elevation. We enjoyed all of the amenities in the kitchen. Maybe an extra roll of paper towels in the kitchen would be nice. That's something you don't think about packing when traveling. My wife really missed not having a TV in our bedroom.

Nice time in Savannah!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was beautiful. Recently renovated with updated kitchen and baths. Unfortunately the kitchen was not well appointed. Very basic cookware. We made spaghetti and meatballs, salad and bread one night for 6 and struggled with adequate pots. No colander. There were no baggies, Saran or Al foil in the condo. They could use more comfortable seating in the living room and easy to clean placemats for the table. Outside area could use a larger table with more comfortable chairs. It was nice to sit outside in the evening until it got cold. I would also like to comment that they wanted to charge us $80 for a 2 hour early arrival. Honestly, I think that’s absurd. The house was obviously not being used or cleaned as we parked out front and went to lunch. It would have been nice to drop off our luggage and check in at 2:00. I rent all over the country never heard of this early check in fee. Aside from that we had a wonderful time but think you should reconsider that policy of the unit is not occupied or being cleaned. Even a hotel allows early check ins.
