About this space
The Garden Room is a licensed, centrally-located, and peaceful studio. Full of hand-crafted, vintage, and one-of a kind decoration and details, this space was designed with love by all members of our family. We look forward to hosting you in our beloved home town. The Garden Room sits in the ideal location to enjoy all that Healdsburg has to offer. Just a block from the central plaza, fine-dining, wine tasting rooms and so much more.

Please know that 16% of the cost of your stay (already included in the price) goes to the City of Healdsburg in the form of TOT tax (occupancy tax). As locals who love our hometown, we appreciate that this money goes to development projects for the enjoyment of us all! We had a great stay. The host and his brother were amazing. Very responsive, we felt right at home. They even arranged a tasting for us and a group of friends at a local tasting room. Great proximity to everything in downtown healdsburg.

Perfect Retreat

Loved the location of this cute studio. We were able to walk around Healdsburg and enjoy shopping and all of the delicious restaurants.

Can’t say enough good things about this cottage! Colin was a perfect host, greeted us for check-in and gave us excellent hiking and winery recommendations (do yourself a favor and ask!). The cottage itself is small but as represented in photos, very nicely appointed, full of unique details and quality amenities (including local coffee and biscuits in the kitchenette, chilled water in the fridge). You have privacy yet it’s in an INCREDIBLE location just a block from downtown Healdsburg. We hope to be back!

The location and set up of the place are amazing! It's only a few minute walk to the plaza. Colin and Ann were both very friendly and helpful leading up to our stay. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town!

Fabulous, comfortable room in brilliant location

We had a fabulous time staying at the Roost! The location was perfect (less than a minute walk to central Healdsburg), and the room really comfortable and well equipped. Terry and Colin couldn’t have been more helpful - provided us with filtered water on demand and even dropped off umbrellas for us when it was raining!

Excellent property in perfect location. The room is two blocks from the Healdsburg town square and all of the restaurants. It is very clean and decorated beautifully. The property owners live in site in a separate house and had excellent communication. Ann met us outside right when we arrived and showed us the property. She made sure we knew house to use all the appliances as well as the thermostat. I would absolutely stay here again.

perfect for a couple

We loved the location to the downtown activities of Healdsburg, so convenient for walking. Very clean and up to date apartment for a couple with small , private sitting area off the back for morning coffee or an afternoon book. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend the "Roost".

We enjoyed our stay in the charming Garden Roost! The hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with. Some suggestions we would offer to further enhance guests experience include: softer bedsheets, a microwave and toaster, and a user-friendly range. The gardener entering the private patio during the morning hour while operating a gas-powered leaf blower was somewhat intrusive. If not for the aforementioned elements, we would have rated the Roost as a 5 star accommodation.

Quick weekend getaway

This was a perfect spot for our quick 2-night getaway to Healdsburg. Perfect location just 1 block from downtown Healdsburg. The hosts were extremely welcoming (met us personally to check us in and show us the space and answer any questions, amenities were nice, etc.). No TV, and no speaker for streaming music from your phone, but for us that didn't matter because we just were not in the room very much.

Perfect location and price

We couldn't have been happier to have stayed in this ultra convenient cottage that allowed us to park our car and walk to all of the great shops and restaurants that Healdsburg has to offer. The cottage had all that we needed (maybe a TV would have been nice to catch the basketball game after dinner or watch a streaming show given the cold weather). The hosts were very helpful and gracious, and the communication was timely and appropriate. We look forward to staying again in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the spacious patio.

Great home away from home.

The garden roost was the prefect home base while in town for a family wedding! Colin was a wonderful host and provided lots of thoughtful extras (coffee and tea, with fresh cream in the fridge, and cookies from a local bakery even) he also had lots of helpful suggestions for places to eat, and places to go! The place was clean and bright, and he had even adjusted the temperature to make it very comfortable when we arrived! We would definitely stay again, the location was excellent - just a couple blocks to the square with lots of great restaurants and shops and the neighborhood was very quiet and charming!!

Perfect Location for Food and Wine Tasting

The location is quiet, safe, charming, and literally across the street from the start of the downtown area. The room is well appointed, with a kitchen and refrigerator (although with all the restaurants you won't need it). Healdsburg is a very walkable town with many things to do a short distance from studio. One could easily drive to redwoods, explore wine country, or follow the Russian River as it winds down to the Pacific. I, however, was content to stay in town and enjoy the relaxing slow pace of Healdsburg.

Wonderful!

Trevor, Colin and Ann went out of their way to make sure my was wonderful. Trevor even picked me up at the Sonoma County Airport, because he wasn’t sure I could get an Uber when I arrived m. The place was spotless, charming, and super tastefully decorated. Everyone was friendly and considerate. I would definitely stay with them next time I come to Healdsburg. It is also centrally located, only 2 blocks from the square. Amazing hospitality!

Healdsburg is a wine and food mecca that brims with world class cultural events throughout the year as well. It is uncommon to have such diversity and depth of culture in a small agricultural town setting. The natural beauty of Healdsburg and its surrounding valleys, as well as Sonoma County and the North Coast more broadly is demands to be explored between sipping and eating.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The main house on our property is an old farmhouse built in the 1850s. It is one of the original homes in Healdsburg and on the historic buildings list. Built in the town's earliest days, the house is within throwing distance of the plaza and right up against the downtown area. Location is everything. It truly makes all the difference to essentially be able to treat the downtown as an extension of our property. We hope you will enjoy the proximity as much as we do.
