CHARMING, SUNNY REMODELED CABIN tucked into the old mining town of Eldora. 5 minutes to Lake Eldora Ski Resort, 8 minutes to the town of Nederland for services including groceries, various restaurants and picnics along Barker Reservoir Lake. Immediate access to Hesse trailhead for a spectacular hike along Middle Boulder Creek all the way to the Continental Divide. Multiple other trails available right out the front door for snow shoeing, hiking, or biking.
Enjoy the cozy warmth of the wood stove, lounge on the outdoor hammock while food is cooking on the grill and enjoy this rare lot which is completely encapsulated by aspen trees.
For extended stays, there is ample storage on-site in a separate out-building.
Approximately 1/2 acre of fenced property for your doggies to run around and enjoy!

Cabin H2O is hard/heavy, not good for drinking water. Shower use is fine. I keep jugs of H20 available when possible. Please plan to bring H20.

Loved this stay!

The cabin was attractive and had everything we needed, plus the bed was comfortable. The host was very helpful and check in was easy. Our favorite part was relaxing on the porch and grilling out. I would definitely stay here again!

We love this cabin!Cozy, clean, and comfortable.It has a good size deck nestled in an aspen grove, great for relaxing while enjoying views and listening to hummingbirds.Hiking trails right out the back, lots of other trailheads, super close.Great spot Will be back

Great Location and Great service

Great little property. Owner was very easy to deal with and immediately handled anything we needed. Very convenient location for skiing/snowboarding. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin and setting

What a great little place to get away for the weekend with our dogs, they enjoyed it as much as we did. Beautiful cabin, nice quiet location but still close enough to "civilization" to not feel totally secluded. We enjoyed watching the moose who came to graze outside the fence each day too! The host has everything set up perfectly to make it truly feel like a little home away from home. We'll be back again for sure!

Wonderful Stay, Wonderful Cabin

The cabin was fantastic. Very accurate description. The cabin is very fresh, recently remodeled. Great location for access to hiking around Eldora/Nederland. The cabin had all the necessities and communication with the host was very efficient. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back if/when the need arises. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay in Eldora!

We loved our stay in Eldora. A cute, peaceful town. The remodel was excellent workmanship. Close to hiking at the Hessie trailhead and shopping in Nederland. We loved spending late afternoons on the large deck. The cabin had everything we needed. Washer and dryer were a huge plus. We really appreciated the cozy blankets to cover the furniture, our dog loved it! We would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin, it’s beautiful! My only suggestion is to try to flatten out the driveway pull in area. Due to rainfall and weather conditions, the road has washed away and left the driveway very rocky and bumpy.

Peaceful Stay, great for dogs

It was an absolutely wonderful few days we got to spend at the cabin. The nature was incredible and the large fenced yard was perfect for our pups! It was quiet and felt secluded even though you can see the neighbors. The fireplace also did a wonderful job of heating the cabin so we didn't have to turn on the heaters. The water was a bit testy (would spurt randomly and the toilet would struggle to fill at times), as to be expected in a more remote cabin. But the owner provided 2 5-gallon jugs of drinking water for all drinking/cooking needs. Overall, it was a perfect get away!

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin, fantastically designed and decorated and precisely renovated in one of our favorite locations: the historic Town of Eldora high up in the mountains on the front range of Colorado. If you’re not familiar, the owner has nice books showing pictures and descriptions of the mining and settlement history here. Loads of hiking and river walks to do in addition to relaxing on the deck in the cool mornings with the hummingbirds. The listing is exactly as described except the aspens in summer aren’t shown.
