A TRUE RIVERFRONT ESCAPE
The Big Thompson River runs directly past the property, creating a relaxing setting surrounded by water, mountain scenery and fresh Colorado air.
Begin the morning with coffee overlooking the river. Watch for wildlife, take photographs along the water or bundle up with a warm drink on the spacious deck. In the evening, listen to the river beneath a sky filled with stars before heading inside to warm up beside the fireplace.
Private river access is located just steps from the cabin. When weather and river conditions allow, guests can enjoy fishing, birdwatching, wildlife viewing or simply spending a quiet afternoon beside the water.
WHY NOVEMBER IS A GREAT TIME TO VISIT
November offers a slower and more relaxing way to experience the Colorado mountains.
Fewer crowds in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park Easier access to restaurants, shops and local attractions Crisp mountain air and the possibility of fresh snow Excellent opportunities to see elk and other wildlife Cozy evenings beside the fireplace A peaceful setting for Thanksgiving or a pre-holiday getaway
Weather can vary throughout the month, giving guests the opportunity to experience sunny mountain afternoons, snow-dusted scenery or both during the same visit.
COZY AND COMFORTABLE INSIDE
Large windows fill the cabin with natural light and showcase views of the river and surrounding landscape. After exploring the mountains, settle into the comfortable living area, enjoy the fireplace, stream a favorite movie, play games or plan the next day’s adventure.
The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare breakfast before heading into the park, enjoy a relaxed dinner at the cabin or cook a special Thanksgiving meal together.
Fast, reliable WiFi also makes the cabin a comfortable option for remote work and extended stays. Finish the workday, close the laptop and enjoy the river, fireplace and peaceful mountain surroundings.
THANKSGIVING BESIDE THE RIVER
Trade the usual holiday routine for a memorable Thanksgiving in the Colorado Rockies. Prepare your favorite dishes in the fully equipped kitchen, gather for a relaxing meal and spend the evening together beside the fireplace.
The cabin provides a warm and welcoming home base for families and couples who want to reconnect, enjoy the outdoors and celebrate without the usual distractions. Thanksgiving availability is limited, so guests planning a holiday stay are encouraged to reserve early.
MINUTES FROM ESTES PARK
Downtown Estes Park is just a short drive away and offers locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, galleries, boutiques and seasonal shopping.
Cooler months bring a more relaxed atmosphere, making it easier to explore town, enjoy a warm meal and browse local shops without the peak-season crowds. Elk and other wildlife are also commonly seen throughout the Estes Valley.
After a day in town, return to the privacy of the cabin and unwind to the sound of the Big Thompson River.
EXPLORE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
Rocky Mountain National Park is open year-round and offers unforgettable scenery during the quieter months. Depending on weather and trail conditions, visitors can enjoy hiking, scenic drives, photography, wildlife viewing and snowshoeing.
Watch for elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep and other Colorado wildlife throughout the area. Some high-elevation roads and trails may be closed or limited during colder weather, so guests should review current park and road conditions before heading out.
FISHING ON THE BIG THOMPSON RIVER
Private river access is available directly from the property. When weather, river levels and seasonal conditions allow, anglers can enjoy fishing for brown and rainbow trout just steps from the cabin.
Guests are responsible for obtaining the appropriate Colorado fishing license and reviewing current fishing regulations and conditions.

We fell in love with this special stretch of the Big Thompson River the very first time we visited. It offered everything we had been searching for—a peaceful riverfront setting, incredible mountain scenery, easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, and a place where it truly feels possible to slow down and reconnect.
What makes this location so unique is the perfect balance of convenience and seclusion. You're only minutes from Estes Park, hiking trails, local restaurants, and some of Colorado's most iconic outdoor adventures, yet when you return to the cabin, the only sounds you'll hear are the river flowing past and the wildlife moving through the valley.
Every season brings something new to experience. Summer offers cool mountain mornings, excellent fly fishing, and endless hiking. Fall transforms the landscape with brilliant golden aspens while bugling elk echo through the valley. Throughout the year, it's common to spot elk, deer, wild turkeys, eagles, and other wildlife right from the property.
One of our favorite moments is enjoying coffee on the deck as the river flows by, watching trout rise in the water while the mountains wake up around us. It's a simple experience, but one that reminds us why we love spending time here.

The Riverfront Setting That Makes This Cabin Truly Special
The first thing most guests notice isn't the cabin itself—it's the river. Perched along the Big Thompson River just minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, this is the kind of place where the sound of rushing water instantly slows your pace and reminds you why you came to the mountains.
The spacious deck quickly becomes everyone's favorite place to be. Nature surrounds you in every season. During the warmer months, you'll enjoy cool mountain mornings, fresh alpine air, colorful wildflowers, and frequent visits from hummingbirds, elk, deer, wild turkeys, and soaring eagles. As autumn arrives, golden aspens blanket the mountainsides while the famous elk rut fills the valley with the unforgettable sound of bugling elk. Winter brings a quieter beauty, with snow-covered pines, peaceful river views, and cozy evenings spent watching the snowfall from inside the cabin.
No matter the season, the river is always the centerpiece. Whether you're casting a fly into one of Colorado's premier trout streams, reading a book on the deck, sharing dinner outdoors with family, or simply listening to the water flow by, you'll find yourself slowing down and enjoying the simple moments that make a mountain vacation unforgettable.
