Excellent set up in the MOST BEAUTIFUL town! Cindy’s apartment was well appointed - beds were comfortable, bath towels sufficient, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The really amazing part was the location and the views from the top level - sunrise and sunset from the bedroom!

If you want quaint and a feeling of going back in time, this is perfect. Staying in a medieval fortress was a wonderful experience. As typical Americans, we had to lug 2 medium suitcases up the 2 flights of stairs, but the view and space is with it. Wonderful restaurants on site and great cafes within walking distance. Easy drives for side quests. Highly recommend

The apartment was cozy and welcoming. The host provided everything we needed, paper towels, hand soap, laundry detergent etc. The best part of this property was the host, Cindy. She responded so quickly to every question I asked. She helped with logistics with the apartment, also with suggestions about where to eat, what town to visit and hikes around the area. There are 4 restaurants within the walls of the village, a couple of grocery stores close by, coffee place. Very convenient! And still such a quiet place. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay in this quaint and charming hamlet. The apartment is a good base to explore the surrounding area. It is an easy drive to and from the Florence airport. I would highly recommend a visit to Barberino Tavarnelle.

The apartment is really charming and it shows that people are nice, however, it wasn’t very clean. The ceiling fan had a very thick and fluffy dust layer, and the apartment was generally really dusty. Bathrooms were not perfectly clean either. We had a nice stay nonetheless, the place is really cute and the views are stunning

Located in a beautiful little village, this property has all the accouterments of la bella vita. Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds with air-conditioning if needed. The little kitchen is well stocked with utensils and plates, glasses, etc. Two bathrooms with showers make hosting guests very convenient. Steps from the front door are 4 amazing restaurants! Literally every well-known city in the Chianti region is within a 40 minute to 90 minute drive. This is truly wine tasting heaven. Hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful with regional tips and suggestions. The little rooftop deck is a dream (sunsets are breathtaking) Can't wait to return!

The location is amazing - situated in the middle of a fortress town with quaint cobblestone streets and wonderful views. We used this as a base to explore Tuscany, and it worked out really well. There are several restaurants nearby, including Café Bijou right downstairs. The apartment is very secure, sitting behind 2 locked doors and up 2 flights of stairs.Communication with the owner was excellent - plenty of detail up front, and on-going checks to make sure our stay was going smoothly. Our group of 4 would definitely stay there again, and we’d highly recommend it to others!

Absolutely charming village and apartment with wonderful bedroom views. There is a small rooftop patio which on a clear morning you can see the famous town of San Gimignano from. The apartment was very comfortable and perfectly located for visiting the towns of Tuscany. Our hosts were both very communicative and very kind and left a bottle of wine and a bottle of water for us during our stay. Barberino Tavernelle has several good restaurants a short stroll away from the apartment ranging from simple to more upscale. There is also a small COOP market and bank just down the hill. The people we met in town were kind and helped our stay be as wonderful as we’d hoped. Thank you to Cindy and her family for having such a wonderful little home in such an enchanting place to create memories for my family that will last a lifetime!

The apartment is comfortable and convenient. Surrounded by delicious restaurants and a great place for relaxing after day trips which are endless. Host is very accessible by phone. Two flights of stairs might be difficult for anyone with mobility problems.

Fantastic Tuscan getaway

Great apartment in a picturesque, ancient walled village in the heart of wine country. Perfect location for exploring Tuscany (rental car a must), with excellent local restaurants to enjoy upon your return in the evening. Cindy is an amazing host, very responsive and helpful. She’s also a fantastic cook, and her private cooking lesson was a highlight of the trip.

Fantastic Spot in Tuscany

Wonderful place in a historic village in the Tuscan countryside. Easy to get to Florence, and other charming villages across Tuscany. There were 3 or 4 nice places to eat in the village; Pico, for pizza, was a favourite. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful this home is! Comfortable, clean, and a perfect location. Everything we could ask for and more. Cindy was an amazing host - answering all our questions, providing guidance on places to go and things to see, and helping with those all-important dinner reservations. Everything about our stay was ideal (even the rainy days!). Loved Barberino Val d'Elsa!
