The VRBO was perfect for our girls' weekend!!!! It was clean, spacious, and the amenities were amazing (Kurig with K-cups, paper towels, napkins, etc. The neighborhood surrounding the home felt very safe. We shopped at Gurnee Mills which was only 10-12 minutes away. We will definitely rent this VRBO again if we go next year. We all agreed that the home is 5 star all the way!!

The house itself was super comfortable and VERY well stocked. Beds clean and excellent quality, hot water very good, and an amazing basement that we sadly didn’t use much! But it’s great! Backyard is lovely too for cooking out. The big downside is of course only 2 bathrooms for 5 bedrooms, but they are large and really nice and placed for easy sharing (ie you don’t have to walk thru someone’s bedroom to reach either one) The neighborhood doesn’t seem all that interesting at first glance. But excellent grocery stores and coffee spots are within a half mile easy walk (tho it’s largely a driving area, so we of course drove)

Beautiful Stay

This was an amazing house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice and spacious. My family and I truly enjoyed the homeliness of this vacation home. We wanted to visit downtown Chicago and this was about an hour away from downtown. Great neighborhood to stay in, we felt very safe and comfortable here. The host was also great and replied right away to questions we had. Check-in and check-out process went very smoothly!

Great family stay

Our son graduated from boot camp. We have a blended family and this location allowed all of us to stay in one place with plenty of space. We had pretty much everything we needed to accommodate all 10 of us. We still had enough space to have our sailor come back and relax before heading back.

The host was prompt to answer questions and very helpful. The house was not as clean as it should be, there were hairs in one of the beds upon arrival. Family sleeping downstairs said the boards creak so much and the water heater was loud all night, they didn't sleep well. Overall, the host was good, location for navy base, restaurants, & grocery stores were good. Neighborhood is good. The kitchen is not well equipped.

Our family stayed here for my son's Navy boot camp graduation. It was fantastic. There are 3 bedrooms on the main level and another in the basement, along with a bonus entertainment/bedroom. It comfortably sleeps 7. The host is fantastic and responds quickly to any concerns or needs. I left my necklace on the nightstand, and he put it in the mail without delay. We mentioned suggestions regarding the heating, and he said he'd look into addressing it for future guests. We look forward to booking with this host for our next trip to Illinois.

RTC Graduation

We rented the place to have a quiet place to stay and spend time with my daughter who was graduating. Overall, the stay went well. The home looks like the pictures. There was quite a bit of bugs in the house (alive and dead). Once we took care of that it was fine. We were only there for a few days. It's only 10-15 minutes from the base barring traffic so it provided what we needed during our stay.

We’re glad to hear that overall, the home met your needs and provided a convenient location for your daughter’s graduation celebrations. It’s wonderful that you found the space comfortable and as pictured. We sincerely apologize for the issue with bugs during your stay—this is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. Your feedback is important to us, and we’ll address this promptly with our cleaning and pest control team to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We appreciate you choosing our home for such a special occasion, and we’re happy it served as a good base for your visit. If your travels bring you back to the area, we’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide an even better experience.

Gurnee Getaway great for RTC graduation

Overall listing was spot on. Clean overall, a little on the chilly side upon arrival and one trash can was not empty. Couple items it could use are hand towels for rhe bathrooms, additional dish towels and dish cloths in the kitchen. Aybe add some board games? Other then a few additionas it was a great locations and perfect for what we needed.
