You will love our Dawson Fish Camp on 8 acres of Navarro Mills lake front. You will find Dawson Fish Camp to be a spectacular setting to watch and photograph the glorious lake side sunsets, birds, wildflowers and the wildlife that regularly visit our feeders. Our windmill makes a nice background for Texas sunsets. The house includes internet access and 3 Roku TV's. There are two bedrooms, with in-suite bathrooms that comfortably sleep 8 people while the living area can sleep up to three. One bedroom has a queen bed, a twin bed and a pullout twin. This bedroom has a full bath/shower. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a shower only bathroom. Of course towels, linens, soap and hair products are provided along with hair driers. The living area has a full size pullout couch and a twin pull out ottoman. The huge deck has a day bed if you choose to sleep outside on this covered space, or just enjoy your morning coffee or breakfast. Dark night sky for your astronomy or photo passions. The lake front location is just north of Dawson TX very near Navarro Mills Marina and Liberty Hill part, where you'll find swim beaches, and fishing guide. The lodge is 1.5 hours south of DFW, 30 miles from Hillsboro, Waco, Ennis or Corsicana, all of which are have great local activities and dining. The house is perfect for your next family get away or fishing with your buddies, yard games and cooking for your family. The house has a huge back deck with view of the lake, and overlooks a short trail to the water front. We attempt to keep the property as natural as possible, so this won't be your ,manicured goof course experience, but rather native plants, trees and wildflower allowed to do what they do, inviting pollinators, birds, and wildlife to flourish. We do have nice mowed and manicured trails for your to enjoy. You can enjoy our grills, discada, and Blackstone for your outdoor cooking. Boardgames and outdoor games and well as wood fire pit and gas fire pit available for your enjoyment. Kayaks are free, and a Jon boat and a pontoon boat are available for rent. Guided fishing is available on this quiet lake with large catfish, plentiful crappie and nice bass. The lake still holds the record for the largest crappie caught in Texas. You will enjoy the dark skies with minimal light pollution. Nearby access to 3000 acres of public land is available for birdwatching or hunting for duck, deer(with free permit) and wild hogs. Core of Engineers rules apply. No hunting on our property or the COE property behind us, but this is a target rich environment for your camera.
